"sorry." Clara let go and pounced on her heels as she let Finx set the food down. "Clara will feed you." the little girl chirped holding up a fork full of food.

Mordecai opened up his mouth. "Thanks Clara..."

Clara began to feed him while Finx remained silent.

Mordecai ate 6 helpings, before he looked at Clara. "Clara, could you give me a and my wife ai it's?"he asked.

"Ok." Clara skipped away humming softly. Finx raised her eyebrow at him "Yes?"

"You were silent....what happened, while that...thing was out?"he asked.

Finx explained and sighed. "I'm still tired from the power use it had been a while and I haven't slept."

"want to use some of my power? I noticed lilith takes power to keep herself steady, I could reverse and repeat the process, and give you energy."he said.

"No it's fine." Finx snuggled against him. "I'll just use you as a pillow."

"I'm cool with that. "he said, kissing her head, and holding her close.

Finx fell asleep curled against him.

Mordecai kissed her head, and when he knew she was asleep, a look of fear was on his face. "The Void above, I can't lose her....not again..."

Finx mumbled and snuggled closer.

(time lapse.)

Mordecai was fishing by the lake, trying to catch dinner.

Finx woke and panicked "MORDECAI!?" she hurried outside sighing in relief when she saw him with the babies.

Mordecai held his two children in his arms and smiled. One was pulling his cheek, the other his ear. "Finally awake Finx? good....help..."

Finx slammed into him driving him to the ground squeezing him tightly.

Mordecai was out of breath, his left lung had collapsed, and he was pretty sure she broke all of his ribs. "ow...."

"I was so scared when you weren't there when I work." Finx sobbed fixing him before she hugged him again.

"I'd be happy to hug you, but I feel my lung starting to fill with blood, and I think one of my rib splinters just pierced my other lung..."He said.

Pen appeared sighing and healed him "honestly." she shook her head and left.

Mordecai kissed Finx full on the mouth.

Finx shivered and kissed him back clinging to him tightly.

Mordecai kept on kissing her, refusing to let go.

The little ones babbled at them. Finx broke way for air "We have little kids to focus on." she blushed.
