"We could alway's ask the Guild Master. He could give us some tip's "He said. "Plus, I already made us a fair bit of Cash off one of the item's we sold. "he said. "Plus, you could work there, I said I'd sell the stuff."

"And you heard me." FInx shook her head "The best chance of this blowing over is if I work at the ice cream shop for a while and go exploring when my mom isn't watching so close."

"You'll have to find a way to sneak out somehow. Guild Regulation say's you need to complete one job a day. I can help you out with that, but your gonna have to trust me." he said.

"I guess so. It will have to do for now." Finx said "Meet me tommorow and I'll show you were the ice cream place is."

"Alright "he said, and fist-pumped her "We're team-mate's. I got your back til death take's me "He said.

"What the hell was that?" Finx asked staring at ehr hand trying to decided if she ahd just been insulted or rather assaulted

"that was a fist-pump. It's a Friend-like thing. Not sure what it represent's, but it's somthing friend's do "He said.

"Well I don't do it." Finx said "Its just wierd with a side of wierd and a wierd shake...to go."

"With extra werid on it "he said. "I don't get it either, so I won't do it again.....anyway, I talked to the guild-trainer. Tomarrow, we finish our Basic's training. We're going after a Criminal "He said.

"Already?" Finx sighed "Guess it cant be avoided you'll have to get me from the ice cream place or something like that."

"Don't worry, I think I can manage that. Your probably going to slap me afterward's, though. "He said "Don't know the full detail's on the Assignment, so I can't tell you much. All I can say is keep your Bow and Knife's on you. This is a Criminal we're talknig about, not some bandit "He said.

"Ok I'll just shove my bow into my bra." Finx said with a roll of her eyes "I can take my dagger because it will fit in my bra but my bow and arrows will have to stay here."

"Want me to take your bow's? I can use magic to hide them "he said, shrinking her bow down to the size of a Hair-clip.

Finx stared at it. "YOu sure are full of mysteries." she said holding her hand out for her bow. "What about the arrows?"

"I can do those too, if you like. "he said.

"Sure." Finx said "Then you can go so I can get some sleep before I have to go to work."

He picked them up, and kissed finx's hand. "See you later. "He said, jumping out the window, and flying away.

*morning*
Finx hurried around her room getting dressed and cursing whenever she tripped. "Come on Finx." Her brother called up the stairs. "I'm coming." she yelled and ran down the stairs a hairbrush stuck in her hair and a toothbrush sticking out of her mouth. "GO GO GO!" she said pushing her brother towards the door. "Bye mom bye dad." she called "Have a good first day at work." her mom called as the door shut. Cal got into his car and backed out "You look wierd." he said with smile gesturing to her brush hair. She glared at him mouth full of toothbrush.

Mordecai gently flew down atop the car, and sat there, making sure he knew where they were going.

Cal dropped her off at the ice cream place and when she turned to say bye she nearly screamed. She glared at him then smiled at her brother "Thanks." he nodded and pulled away.

Mordecai jumped down. "Decided I was gonna be your first customer "He said, smiling

"You are impossible." Finx said with a sigh then went in and reported for duty. She her hair up and used the clips to keep he rbangs out of her face and put on a hat and apron and gloves and stood ready her helper of the day standing over her shoulder. She could feel him looking at her necklace and tried to hid it better but it was on a short chain and couldn't be shoved down her shirt.

Mordecai sat down, and smiled "Waitress......Would you be so kind as to bring me a Banana split, please ?" he said, with a smile that was too innocent.

"We don't have waitress here its a come up and order." The manager said glaring at him

He looked dumb-struck. He'd only been to one restraunt sense he awoke in this world, so he was kind-of confused. "Okay then, I guess. "He said, walking up. He then looked at the man. "May I have a Banana split?"He said, handing the cash for the ice-cream to the man.
