Finx screeched like a banshee. "MOM HELP MOM MOMMY!" she yelled shutting her eyes and buring under her covers like she did when she was a child and she had nightmares. "When I wake up it will be gone and mom will be stroking my hair telling me it was a dream." a bubble of sycodic laughter escaped her lips "she'll probley have me locked up when I tell what I saw."

FInx bitch slapped him "Don't you touch me." she whipped out the pepper spray and got him full in the face. She got hear her mom crashing around the house in the dark trying to get to her room.

He put his hand's on his eye's and yelled. His wing's started flapping like mad.

Her mom finally made it to her room and she was holding a gun she saw him and fired. "Get out of my house you freak."

The bullet pierced his wing, and he let out a Unearthly Shriek. He then sent her mother back with a burst of wind, and fell to the ground, holding his wing and crying.

Finx ran towards her mom. "Mom?" she asked bending over her "I'm alright." she said standing up. "Come on get to the car." she took her hand and pulled her downstairs and out into the garage and dumped her into the passangers seat. While she buckled her mom got in and backed the car up and drove off. "Mom...whats going on?" she asked "never you mind. We're going far away where no one can find us and I want you to forget about you're life here. We'll start over get new identities, you'll change schools and hobbies." now her mom was scaring her her grip on the stiring wheal was death like.

though it hurt to fly, he started flying after them. He finalyl stopped the car, the wheel's digging into the pavement, and shouted "I just wanted to tell finx Thank you for saving my life!"

Finx gasped when he stopped the car and glanced at her mom she looked angery but she could see fear flickering underneath her anger "GET AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER YOU MONSTEROUS FREAK!" her mom shouted and punched the car into reverse and pulled the car around heading off jus under the speed limit.

"I want to pay her Back! Please! Stop! "he said, then picked the car up into the Air, High enough for a fall to be death.. He then spoke calmly "I have no Intention's to harm you or your Daughter. I mearly wish to pay her back for Saving my life" he said, trying to keep in the air. His wing hurt from the bullet.

He flew down, and Put the Car down with him. "If either of you Wish to speak with me, I'm Heading toward Gigan's guild. I'm hoping joining a Adventurer's guild will help me find out who I am, and why I came to this world. "He said, and started to walk off.

Her mom got out of the car and shoved him once she caught up to him. "How dare you do that you freak!" she screeched. Finx quickly got out of the car and pulled her mom towards the car "come on mom leave it." she begged sounding scared her mom turned to her and gentle took her hand "you're right." she went back to the car while finx threw one last look at mordeci before she got in the car.

"Hey finx. I wanted to ask you this before your mother assumed I was out too kill you two : Want to Form a Explorer's Team with me?" he asked. "You know more about this world, and from what i'v seen from that Necklace you have, Fortune seeking is interesting you to. I wondered if you would like to join with me?"

"Wait!" Finx chewed on her cheek "If you can find us then I'll take you up on the offer." she hurried to get into the car before her mom come to get her. "What did he want?" she asked "Just to say thank you again." finx said "I wish you had never gone to the beach yesterday." her mom drove them toward the highway.

Mordecai took the sky's, and flew into the cloud's, watching finx, and waiting atleast a day to pass by.

The keeped moving from car to car never staying in the same state for long soon they where half way across the country. Her mom finally pulled up to a small house. "We're home." she said with a smile and climbed out finx felt closed in there was to much city around her and no where to go exploring. She climbed out "Well go check it out." her mo handed her the keys while she got bags out of the trunk. Finx walked up the stairs and opened the door reveling a staircase and a small hall way off of which branched rooms she could see the palor from where she was standing. "This is going to be hard to get use to I know but I think its cute." her mom said with a smile. I didn't take long for them to get moved in and once they had claimed rooms her mom went off to find a job and buy some furniture will finx dusted out the house.

A knock came at her door. it was Mordecai.

Finx opened the door and smiled at him she was covered in dust and her hair was a mess.

Mordecai flapped his Un-injured wing, and the dust cleared. "Ready to go, or would you prefer to take a shower?"

Finx blinked and then blushed pushing her hair out of her face "I'm fine. I'll just get more dirty anyway."
