COSTCO, BABY!
...no really, my dad is the lead programmer at Costco world headquarters here near Seattle. I HAVE to support it xD
plip_gurl: just out of curiosity, where do you live? I always thought Fred Meyer was regional to the Northwest - though I've seen QFCs, Krogers and Safeways (all run by the same man) elsewhere.

@ Shota: I spend a lot of my money there too! XD
@ Elysium: SAME! When I buy at WalMart I think of the people who are makeing the stuff, but the prices and convenience are pretty unbeatable I have to admit. :]
@ Carzee: I have never heard of that place. Then again I have never been to New Zealand so I do not have much experience with that country let alone their stores! XP
@ Anaxilea: WOOW COSTCO! HEY BABY! XD And I live on the West Coast. :] If you want like anything specific please send me a message because I do not really like to post that type of personal information in the threads and stuff. C;

I prefer Target, it just seems nicer and not trashy. To me Walmart seems kind of trashy and dirty and not the best quality of store. I shop at both, but I'm not very fond of Walmart at all and only go there occasionally. I like Target. And I've never even heard of Fred Meyer. o.O

Neither, we don't have any of those stores in my country. I shop at a store called Coop.

There's no WalMart in my country but I'm pretty sure I was in a walmart store when I was in Africa. O.O

The only thing that bothers me about target is their clothing. They always start to unravel quickly, they never doublestitch their seams.
And there's something disturbing about a Walmart in Africa. Does someone want to make a labor rights joke about that? The pieces are all there. >3<

@ Vivki: Acording to Wikipedia Fred Meyers are only in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska so if you do not live in one of those states that is why you probably have never heard of it. :P
@ Aspinou: WalMart in Africa? (This is not a racist joke in anyway so please do not take it as that because that was not my intent at all!) Well WalMart is pretty cheap and Africa is not the richest place on the globe to be honest O.o
@ Anaxilea: I was not going to make the joke but I mean come on, It is kind of hard NOT to! And besides that is China. But still the joke is pretty obvious. C:

Wal-Mart
Out of all of the options you gave us, that's the only store they have here in France ._.

I've never heard of the Fred store myself. I don't think we have those around here.
The closest store for me is Walmart and even that's a half hour away. >.< That's where I do most of my shopping because it seems to be the cheapest but it always has trouble keeping the items I want in stock which is a pain.
I have this vision of Target as being a better store. I'm not really sure why because I don't think they're cheaper but I think some of the Target brand things look nicer than the Walmart ones (like clothes and shoes, etc.) and I like how it looks like a modern store. The closest target is probably an hour or so from my house though so I hardly ever go there. I did go a few weeks ago and got some really nice things though.
SceneRaverNeko: Do you shop at Monoprix then? That's like the French version of Walmart as far as I could tell when I was there.

No idea what Fred Meyer is.
Of the choices, definately Target. I like their household items. But the place I shop the most (especially for groceries) is Meijer. It's a midwest thing.
Grew up with only a WalMart nearby. Then a Meijer came in. Now that I'm in an actual city with choices, almost always Meijer, sometimes Target.

I don't even know what a Fred Meyer is.
But honestly I don't really care for target or walmart. I buy clothes at target sometimes and food at walmart if it's decided we're going to walmart not the Teeter. /shrugs

@ ZigBig: I feel like Target is a WAY better store then WalMart because when I buy from Target at least I know that the coat I am wearing was not made by some starving homeless Chineese child. But I must admit I DO shop at WalMart WAAAAAAAAAAAAY more often then Target, mostly becasue WalMart is like 3 minutes away from my house and Target is like 10 or 15. Yeah I know that it is only like 10 minutes more but gas pricess and skyrocketing and the moeny I save at WalMart makes it a better choice hands down. I do admit that I find Target to be much cleaner, well stocked, and organized better then WalMart (at least the ones by my house) If I want to go for high quality and style then I will most likey go to Target FIRST, but I can usually find whatever I need at WalMart.
@ Tavern: Target has some pretty nice household items! I have never heard of this Meijer everybody keeps talking about! It is like a supermarket, Asian market, warehouse style? It sounds GREAT from what I have heard! :D
@ Coconut: LUCKY! I have friends that practically live at the grove because they love it so much and shop there so much! XD
@ Monstah: WalMart usually has lower prices then Target so WalMart is a good choice. Even if it is farther away you still save money! :D
@ B A B Y: WalMart is my pick of the three! :3

@Plip: Meijer is kind of like a Target or WalMart, but with an equally large grocery store attached. Little more expensive than WalMart (but not much) and cheaper than Target.
Most of my friends around here absolutely refuse to shop at WalMart because they disagree with the way corporate runs things (no unions, foreign child labor to produce goods, etc.). I don't mind shopping there if it's what's available or has what I need, but when I have the option, Meijer's a better choice.

@ Taviern: I do not agree with WalMart and the child labor and all but with gas prices that is where we go mostly. We do not go grocery shopping there because WalMart is not very clean. We usually go to Albertsons or SafeWay. If I had a Meijer around me I would shop there. It sounds pretty awesome! But I looked it up on Wikipedia and it said they only service states that I do not live in! Totaly sucks! XC Sounds like I am missing out! DX

We mostly shop at Wally World (Walmart), but I prefer Target.
Outside of those choices, Kroger. Definitely. <33

D:
I go to Heb, but I hate going to walmart.
My mom takes hours there! One time, I took her to walmart around 6 pm and we left at 11 pm!
I get nosebleeds whenever I go because of all the mass production and people.

I'm Canadian, so I didn't mind Zellers, but those are going to disappear.
But, I still prefer Winners/Home Sense -- they have awesome things at reasonable prices. So many great things there and there is always something new...
