This my first thread, HAW HAW.

Anywho, what would you say your best type on Pokemon is?
Which type do you know the best?
Why?
Who are your favourites of this type?

I would say I'm really good with Steel and Psychic types.

Steel is due to playing Platinum, my girlfriend gave me a Beldum and Riolu to go through the game with. Both of them were insanely good on my team, and beat Cynthia really well. After that I trained many steel types and really like how bulky and strong they are, well in most cases. My favourites are: Bisharp, Metagross, Lucario, and Aggron.

Psychic is a type I'm trying to get better at. This is due to mainly really liking Gallade when I went through Platinum. Also Metagross is s psychic type and I used him too. My favourites are: Gardevoir, Gallade, Gothitelle and Victini.

So yeah, post up your favourite types :)

I'd say my favourite type would be Water and Fire.

But really the way I choose my Pokemon is if they look cool/cute. It just so happens that Water & Fire have some cool ones lol.

Favourite Water: Squirtle, Vaporeon, Totodile, Panpour, and Oshawott is pretty cute.
Favourite Fire: Growlithe, Ponyta, Torchic, Chimchar, Pansear.
Actually, if its a Monkey looking Pokemon I want it lol.

Hmm.. I guess Dark Pokemon have some good ones too. Like Houndour.

That includes all of the evolutions too.

My favorite types are Fire and Ghost. Fire because I have a tendency to pick Fire starters, and Ghost because Ghost types are (usually) pretty awesome. My favorite Fire types are Blaziken and Emboar (gotta love Fire/Fighting), and my favorite Ghost types are Gengar and Chandelure. (My love for Chandelure goes without saying, really... LOL!)

On a related note, my least favorite type is Poison. Even though there are some Poison types I like, I find it to be a very useless type overall... ^^;;;

My least favourite is dragon, simply because it's overglorified. Most have laughable weaknesses to ice, and they are overpowered.

Dragon is over-glorified by the game, but it really is a good type when used correctly. I just wish that Dragon was super-effective against more than just Dragon.

Personally only a few dragons are good. I just wish they had more to them, all they are effective against is themselves. Which is redundant. Not to mention, they are more individuals than a group. Fire types it's easy to know what is good and bad about them. Dragons feel more random, with stats anywhere they like.

I've always liked fire and electric types. I always take the fire starter and pretty much always get an electric type of some sort.
But there's nothing like a good ol' ghost/dark type. Being weak to nothing is pretty cool.

Agreed about dragons being over glorified. The only dragon that I actually like is Flygon, one of my absolute favourite pokemon.
Even then, his type isn't that good. Dragon/ground? Not the best, but whatever.

My favourite dragon by design is Latias, by practicality it's Salamance.

Oh man. I'm a bug catcher ALL THE WAY!
Venomoth, Parasect, Scyther, Beedrill, Krikitune, Forretress, vespiquin, shedinja, and I'm mondo excited for the Electric bug in white/black.
I tend to tag team with them. Mostly a stat effector like Venomoth paired off with a beastly bug like Parasect or Forretress.

The Pokemon types that I am good with are grass and fire. They seem to balance each other out with their strength and weaknesses

My favorite type is actually dragon. :) They do have amazing stats, which is probably why they are only super-effective against dragons. Not to mention that the majority of them can learn moves like flamethrower, earthquake, thunderbolt, etc. Plus, with the new games, they have Hydreigon, my favorite Pokemon as of yet. It's typing is unique, Dark/Dragon, and it has amazing special attack. The ability's kind of useless though. It doesn't really need levitate at all, but, whatever. I also think the ice weakness was to keep dragons from being too powerful, even though they don't show up much. Ghost is sort of parallel to dragon in a way. Until dark types came out, the only weakness for ghost was ghost, and that's probably why Gengar was given the poison half, so that they wouldn't be too powerful.

I'm just going to finish up by pointing out the highlights of another dragon type I have, Altaria. While Altaria isn't the best offensively, it has amazing special defense, and with its new move Cotton Guard, its defense is great too. Dragon Dance helps its attack out, so Dragon Claw works great. And it has Refresh to heal away status problems, though its ability has a chance to do the same, meaning it could be replaced easily with Aerial Ace or something.
