Something moved through the shadows, following Kiara.

Kiara thought she heard something and turned around to find nothing so she kept walking.

A group of Jackals appeard before Kiara.

Kiara growled at them.

The Jackals licked their lips. "Meat" They attacked.

Kiara attempted to fight them. off. she was to far from the den to call for help. She bit one of them and broke there kneck and tried fighting them off.

Darkness appeard and attacked the Jackals.

Kiara attacked them again and when she saw the darkness could finish them off she quiet.

Darkness killed the last of them. "Are you ok?"

"i'm fine. just tired" she said.

"Lets get you home" Darkness helped Kiara back to pride rock.

She limped along beside him and was glad when they got home.

"Mommy!" Kamala ran to her side. "What happend?"

"i was attacked... by jackals" she said.

Hunter felt terrible. "I should have been there. You never would have been attacked"

"its fine. i am just glad that darkness was there" she said.

"Darkness, thank you" Hunter said. "No need, I was just helping out family"

Kiara laid down beside hunter.

Kamala nuzzled Kiara. "I'm glad you're safe, mommy"

Kiara licked kamala then laid down and went to sleep.

Hunter and Kamala did the same.

sahara smiled at them and sat down beside darkness. "they were right. we will have many dangers to face. like almost loosing her again. Good thing oyu followed her" sahara said to darkness.

"The Jackals said meat. They must be getting desperate for food"

"they would never attaqck us if the herds were still here" she said.
