when i was a lil gurl my grandma, my aunt, my cousin and i would go up to the upper pennisula(michigan) we would go to copper harbor and go into the mines up there, it was really fun and the scereny up there is absolutely beautiful. we even watched the sun set over lake superior it was sooo beautiful. i learned a lot about the history of the mines. that is where i wanna take my lil ones when they are old enough so we can make memories like we did.

Every summer I go to Florida to spend time and visit my grandma and dad.

It seems quite strange for me and maybe some others that live in smaller countries that in America, people mainly just travel around the same country. Not that they don't here. But it isn't considered as much of a 'Summer Holiday' like travelling to a hotter country is. Most people I know go on holiday to Spain, Portugal, France, Greece, Canary Islands, Balaeric Islands etc.
I've been on holidays in the UK but they aren't as good as going to a country where you can wear shorts at night time!

Ever since I was born we'd go visit my aunt, so we'd always travel a couple of hours in hour car to get there. I'd always be greeted by the most stunning garden, all of my best childhood memories were there, I mainly love spring and summer because of just how amazing the garden is then.

I haven't gone anywhere for a trip in the summer in a long time. And this summer I wont either. I've got classes all summer.

Well let's see...I've been to Arizona when I was 6.
France and the UK when I was 9.
Philippines at age 10 and 12 (but I hate tropic places).
Canada at age 11.

Not that I've particularly liked my vacations because traveling with family is boring, but I usually go to Disneyland with my friends. : ) It's just a one and a half hour drive from home. One day I want to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter...now that's an ideal vacation right there!

I would love to go back to Ocean City, Maryland. I went there two years ago with my family, and i loved it. The beach, a nice chance to get away from my life here in NY. it was great.

sounds like some very coolz and great places to go for a vacation everyone :) and yah traveling with your family can be boring, but sometimes it brings a family together too :)

I usually go to my parent's vacation homes in Cayman Islands or in Greenwich, Connecticut...but it gets kinda boring there sometimes, although I've got tons of awesome memories there. :D

It's rare that I'll go anywhere for summer vacation. If I do, I go to Kansas to visit my grandma for a few days.

I go to Kentucky every year with my parents over the summer. We actually spend most of the time just shopping, but it's a lot of fun, in my opinion. We also go to the caves some years as well.

Other than that, I haven't really gone anywhere that exciting over summer vacation. I did go to Italy last week, though, and Hawaii when I was really young, which have been my favorite places that I've been to so far.

But, I plan on doing a lot this summer! I want to go to Louisiana and a wolf reservation a few hours away from where I live, and possibly Washington, D.C. as well.

those places sound amazing and i want to go to hawaii for my honey moon, it looks sooo beautiful and romantic.

I don't really go many places in the summertime but I would like to go to a nice beach resort or at least back to florida. The sky was so clear in florida that when there was a storm I saw every lightning strike that struck crystal clearly. It was beautiful. I like views like that. Also I enjoy the rain. It rained down there alot but the weather still stayed nice and warm. ^^

I typically like to go to New York City or Disney world for a summer vacation. However those are always out of reach normally so I wind up at a local convention here in my state in the summer. Sometimes I'll go to the zoo or one of the museums around here as well for a little weekend outing. I'm hoping this year to get to New York or Charleston. Both places seem like they would be fun for the summer.

There are all kinds of fun places I remember from my childhood, but this Summer, I'd most like to visit my family back home, I haven't seen them in nearly three years...hard to belive really...
