Sitting down at the table he took the menu that was offered to him. Moving it to the side he looked at his father and he heard what he was saying. Yet, he couldn't believe what he was hearing. What was he talking about?! Not wanting to be with Misaki? What gave him the right to say that? He decided to play coy though as he looked at his father as he said,"Wait, why? I don't understand why you are telling me this."That had been the truth, he was indeed very confused.

Fuyuhiko frowned. He knew very well that Akihiko knew what he was talking about. Yet he couldn't exactly force him to tell the truth, now can he? So he sighed and crossed his arms. "You know very well why. I don't want you being too used to having him around because once he leaves you, you're going to be lonely." See, he was just trying to make sure his son wasn't going to put himself through that kind of situation. After all, Misaki couldn't stick around forever once he graduates college or his brother moves back after his honeymoon. Fuyuhiko wasn't sure exactly which would come first. But once one of those things happen, the boy would surely be moving out, never to see Akihiko again.

Usami narrowed his eyes again as he heard his father utter those words? "How can he say that?" thought Usami. Clearing his throat he looked at his father and said,"I take your kind words into consideration, father. However, you do not need to concern yourself with something as this. Misaki will not be leaving me, he is too good for that." What scared him the most about this though was that he didn't know if he was trying to convince himself or if he was trying to convince his father more.

Fuyuhiko raised an eyebrow lightly, noticing the small trace of doubt in Akihiko's voice. So he wasn't completely sure if Misaki would stay with him. And why would he? He looked to be a young boy with a bright future ahead of him. If the brunette knew any better, than he would avoid the writer all together. "Alright. If you say so." he said, a small smile on his face.

Usami looked at his father a bit puzzled as to why he was smiling, but he decided to pay it no mind. "Father, are you really sure that you are just here because you had a business meeting nearby? I mean it is rather coincidental is it not?" asked Usami as the waitress came over and brought them each a glass of water before leaving.

Fuyuhiko gave Akihiko a look of hurt when he said that to show that he was upset that he didn't believe him. "Of course I'm sure. You don't honestly think I came here just to talk to you, do you? After all, how could I possibly know where to find you if you haven't spoken to me in so long?" he asked, taking a sip of the water the waitress had brought.

Usami looked at his father as he said,"Where are my manners. Of course you didn't know that we were coming here." The waitress came back and looked at them as she wanted their orders. He had barely looked at his menu, since he was talking with his father. "Can you give me us a few more minutes please?" The waitress nodded as he went to look at his menu. "What are you planning on getting?"

Fuyuhiko's attention flickered over to the waitress. He honestly had no idea what he wanted to get. He had thought that Akihiko would have left by now in a fit of anger. If that happened, he had just planned on leaving. So he dropped his attention to the menu and thought for a moment. "I think I'm going to get sushi with a side of sansai." he said, looking over at the waitress. She nodded and wrote down his order before looking at Akihiko.

Usami looked at the menu quickly. He really had no idea what he wanted. Turning to the waitress though he said,"I will have the same thing as him." Typically, his father had good taste in food, as well as clothing, so he would trust his father. Besides, he couldn't even remember the last time that he had had fresh sushi.

The waitress nodded and copied down the order before turning and heading off to the kitchen. Fuyuhiko watched her go for a moment before turning his attention to Akihiko. "So.. How's this writing career working out for you?" he asked, only mildly interested. He'd really rather prefer that his son came back to work for his own company, but there was nothing he could do to force him.

Usami looked at his father as he said,"The writing business is treating me rather well. I recently got an award for the best historical novel this year. I think it's pretty good." There was no way in hell he was going to mention that he was writing BL novels either. That was the las thing that he wanted his father to know. He also knew that his father was asking him this because he wanted him to come back at the family company, just like his good for nothing, brother.

Fuyuhiko nodded even though he really didn't approve of Akihiko's writing. But winning an award for a book was a great honor. He could at least pretend to be a proud father. "Congratulations." he said, smiling lightly. "I'll be sure to read the book when I get the chance." His attention drifted over to the waitress as she brought them their food and he smiled politely and took a bite of his sushi.

Usami saw the fake smile that his father gave him. He knew for a fact that his father disapproved of him writing, but his father also knew that the more and more he was told to do something, the less likely he was going to do it. "I am glad that you approve of me still writing, Father," said Usami as a smirk played on his features. He stopped harassing his father though when he saw the waitress come over and bring their food. He too, after his father, ate a bite of his sushi. It was very fresh.

Fuyuhiko knew that his son knew that he disapproved of his writing. The words Akihiko said felt like they were mocking him somehow. It took everything he had not to narrow his eyes at the younger male sitting across from him. "You know, I've been thinking that it's about time you settled down and married a nice young lady." he said, tilting his head curiously to see how his son would react.

Usami continued to eat his food as he took sip of his water and almost choked on his water when he heard his father say that he should settle down and marry some nice young lady. Was he insane?! He would, could, never do that! It went completely against his nature. Was his father daft?! "Father," said Usami as he coughed some more. "With all do respect, I do not wish to wed anytime soon. So please get those thoughts out of your head." His father was indeed barking up the wrong tree. Hr wanted to leave right then and there, but he knew that if Misaki figured out that he had walked out on his father then he knew that the brunette would disapprove.

Fuyuhiko frowned at Akihiko's words. It wasn't as if he was really giving him a choice. "You must understand that you're nearing 30 now and this is about the age that most people settle down with someone they can be with. I'm just trying to look out for you." he explained. taking a bite of his sushi. How hard was it understand that he was really just looking out for his son's image.

Usami really didn't want to be here right now, or ever. He wanted to be back in the room, spending time with Misaki. However, he also knew that he needed to be kind and courteous for Misaki's and his sake as well. The last thing he needed right now was for his father to go prying where he didn't belong. He especially didn't want the two of them having a conversation with one another. Taking another bite of his own sushi he chewed thoughtfully and thought about how he was going to basically tell his father to piss off and go away. "I will get married when I am ready," said Usami as he gave his father a rather pointed look. "Besides, all of the women that I know are only in it for the money."

Fuyuhiko was silent for a few moments as he continued to eat his sushi. He already knew that most women only got married because of the money. That was just a fact people always tended to ignore. "Alright. Alright. I'm sorry. I won't push the matter." he said, taking a drink before going to his side. He had the feeling that Akihiko didn't want to get married because of that boy, but if he said something it might result in his son storming off on him. He didn't want that.

Usami took another bite of his sushi amazed that his father had just dropped it like that. He had assumed that his father would want to talk about it more even though he was done talking about it. [B"I ask that you do not trouble yourself thinking on such matters anymore,"[/B] said Usami as he waved to one of the waitresses and paid for his half of the meal. he was a grown man that was capable of standing on his own two feet. He was not going to let his father pay for his half, and he really didn't care how his father was going to pay for it either. "Father, I must be off. I have a few book deadlines in the near future, and I have to do some last minute editing." With that being said he got up and left the table as he bowed to his father and left the restaurant with the intention of heading back to his room.

Fuyuhiko frowned when Akihiko had stood up. It was true that this wasn't the most comfortable dinner he's ever had, but he felt like he was making at least a little progress with his son. When the waitress had come over, he pulled out his wallet, fully intent of paying for the whole meal. But he didn't even get the chance to before the younger Usami had paid for his own. He stood as well when the other stood, planning on going back to his own room, having chosen not to stay at the hotel where his meeting was. "Alright. I do hope to see you again sometime in the near future." he said, making sure his voice was loud enough so that Akihiko could hear it as he was walking away. He also hoped to have a chat with this Takahashi Misaki sometime soon to get him to leave his son alone.

Usami continued to walk away towards his room as he stopped when he heard his father. He turned around and smiled at him as he said,"We had a wonderful talk." He was trying to be as sarcastic as ever. His first reaction was to take Misaki home before his father had a chance to talk to him, but then he knew that it would cause an odd conversation for them on the way home. Usami continued to walk down the hallway as he tried to figure out what to say to the brunette when he got back into the room.

Misaki had started to grow bored reading his manga while he waited for Usagi to return. He had a quick dinner and set his things back into his bag before heading out into the hall. He didn't know when the older man would return, but he saw this as a chance for him to explore while the other was away. He ran a hand through his hair idly as he walked down the hall, only passing the occasional person. But after 10 minutes of wandering, he realized he had absolutely no idea where he was. He let out an irritated sigh and started back the way he came, hoping to find the room before Usagi returned.

Usami continued to walk down the hallway towards the room as he debated on what he would do once he got there. He needed something to take his mind off of what he had talked about with his father. Part of him just wanted his father to go and burn in the deepest pits of hell, but another part of him knew that he spoke the truth. Opening the door he walked into the room, seeing that Misaki wasn't there. "I wonder where he is," thought Usami as he decided that he would go and take another soak in the spring outside their room.

Fuyuhiko walked out of the restaurant as he turned left, heading back towards his room. As he was walking around he thought about how he was going to go about getting his son to marry someone. He knew that Akihiko was stubborn at times, who was he kidding, he was stubborn all of the time. As he continued to walk he looked around to see that he was going the right way. Out of the corner of his eye he thought that he saw Takahashi Misaki. "Interesting," he thought as he stopped and then began walking over towards the brunette. He could have this conversation now before he went back to his room. There was always more than one way for him to get what he wanted out of his son.

Misaki spotted Usagi's father coming down the hallway towards him and he froze for a half-a-second. There was no need for him to overreact... Right? After all, maybe the older man was just going to his room. That was highly possibly, so the brunette pushed the worry from his mind. There really was no need for him to be concerned... But he seen the way the two Usami's acted towards each other and he didn't want to accidentally do or say something that would just end up making things worse.So he dropped his gaze to the ground as he walked, hoping that he could just slip by Fuyuhiko without having to say anything to him.

Usami went slipped quietly into the water as he leaned back enjoying the warm water on his skin. He just hoped that Misaki would be alright. He knew that his father was crafty in getting what he wanted, but he was pretty sure that he wouldn't do anything too insane or drastic.

Fuyuhiko saw the look in Misaki's eyes, and he smiled a little bit as he saw the younger male look towards the ground. He was really a demure, innocent little thing. "Misaki Takahashi," asked Fuyuhiko. "That is your name right? My name is Fuyuhiko Usami. I am Akihiko's father. Are you busy at all? Come have a drink with me." Before he let Misaki answer he took him by the hand and began leading him back to the restaurant that he had just left. Walking back into the restaurant they were immediately seated since it wasn't very crowded. "Feel free to have anything that you want," said Fuyuhiko as he looked at the menu that he was given. He wasn't going to order anything, but he at least had to pretend to look like he was.
