Wow, our moms are more similar than I had originally thought... I'm pretty sure my mom is also bipolar. When I moved out she would call and wake my ass up in the morning just yelling at me, for things that happened years ago, things that were her fault but she needed to place blame somewhere... I remember when I was in kindergarten, she came to my school during lunch, I can't remember what for now, but she had always made me so nervous that I couldn't even open my milk carton, she yelled at me that I was stupid and made me cry in front of my whole class.
