Vocaloids

So in case you are not aware, Vocaloids are basically 'singing software' that come with a character. The famous trademarked ones are actually considered "Virtual Divas" and have their own songs, and give live concerts via holograms.

What is your Favorite Vocaloid Song?

I can't help but love "Kokoro" (Heart) by Rin Kagamine, the female of the two twins. The song is about a robot made by a scientist who can give her everything but a heart. Kind of like edward scissorhands almost, perfect except for one thing. He worked until he died, and after his death she ran the progam he was working on and actually felt real joy and real sadness and was truly appreciative of being created and the time they spent together, but it shorted her out and she died.

This thread is created partially because my cosplay group will be invading the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival as a group of Vocaloids, and we will be kicking off the Anime Talent Show to get the crowd pumped up. We will have Miku, Rin, Len, Luka, Kaito, and someone who was going to be Magnet but had to change.

I'm going to personally be cosplaying as Mr. Len Kagamine. I've been watching the video for "Butterfly on My Right Shoulder" as character study.

I like 'Kagome Kagome' most. I think it's the first vocaloid thing I heard, but it's still my personal favorite.

I haven't actually heard too many of the songs by any of the others besides Miku. What do you recommend?

My favourite vocaloid would have to be Nekomura Iroha, as for my favourite song that's a tough choice.
I do listen to From Y to Y, You can change the world, Jutenija and ARPK alot though according to my mp3.

I like the dynamic between Rin and Len, especially with the song KOKORO, Rin's Version, and Kokoro-Kiseki, Len's Version. Len takes the point of the view of the scientist and the first verse is the same, and if you overlap them the lyrics kind of echo each other "I told her what happy was." vs "I learned how to feel happy". I'll try to find it on youtube:

I've only heard one vocaloid and that is Gakupo and I have to say compared to the real voice it's not so god but it's decnet with a fukyvoice with a techno feel. Are they all like that?

At the cherry blossom festival today I saw:

I love all vocaloids because they all have cute songs, I don't think I have a specific favorite.... Maybe Miku? She was the first vocaloid, and I guess she's more advanced than the others because she even as a 3D dancing program along with her vocal one.... Still, the others are so cute too.... I like them all.

I especially love songs where multiple vocaloids appeared in- like Alice of human Sacrifice.... But that could also be because I love Wonderland!

Omg, I love the Vocaloids. I personally prefer Luka and Rin, because Luka has a more human-ish voice than the rest of the vocaloids do. And I love Rin because she's...so lovable?!?
My favorite song is probably Just Be Friends or Trick and Treat. :)
