I do like the series, Cassandra Clare is a good author.. I kind of didn't expect another book though, it kinda seems like overkill.

How bizarre. Why change Jace? And what's this book about?

Book 4 definitely took a turn for the worse, unfortunately. I wish I would've stopped after City of Glass, but then again, maybe they'll recover with the next installment. I hope.

City of Bones/Ashes/Glass fit together nicely, like a glove. It had a good story and even better characters, and the ending suited it nicely. Why go on? Why not just end it there? It makes me a sad panda :(

Oh great, now I'm dreading reading it. What do ya'll think of Clockwork Angel? A good idea, or money making scheme? (I actually preferred the characters, but they did seem a bit re-used.)

I honestly have to say that the Mortal Instruments is currently my favorite book serious. I just finished reading the newest book, City of Fallen Angels. It was so good, although I wish it had a bit less Simon. I'm just not a Simon fan, even now that he is a downworlder or daylighter as everyone loves to call him. The book kept me hooked right to the end, and now I'm left hanging off the cliff, is anyone else on edge here? I can't wait until the next one, I must know what happens!

The characters were well written, but you're right on the mark with the re-used feeling as well. I do think it was just a money-making scheme, albeit a much better one that some other ones that have come out recently (Bree Tanner, for example).

The story is interesting, but not a must-get-next-book-must-know-rawr kind of feeling you got with the first 3 Mortal Instruments books.

yes im excited to see what happens next to :) but well see in 2012 :/ man i was looking up the release dates and cover art for the net books and its not going to be until 2013 that the series is done. im actually excited though for the new series, i liked it. its more in depth but we already know the out come of the end the angel riaizel is summoned from lake lyn and then the first generations are created but its nice to know the charature Johnathan ShadowHunter. Im glad another person besides me is excited :)

haha i agree, simons not my favorite but hes not my least favorite either. im excited to see what Sebatian or "Johnathan" does because i know that it was strange for a body to just disapear and then showing up in the back of jaces mingd like that, just amazing!

yes i agree with you rooh, it would of been a good end and leave great respect for cassandra, but in a way im somewhat glad she proceeded i just hope that theres even more of a plot to it in the next books or else there would be no point in them other then to read about there adventures but even then its like short stories about the same charatures :/

Simon is a bit better as a vampire but really I just can't really like him. His character just annoyed me in the first few books, with his being at the wrong place at the wrong time and just being a stick in the mud. I do apologize to the Simon fans though, I don't mean to down talk your boy!

And I do have to say I have to agree with everyone saying book 4 is a bit of a drag compared to the first 3 books in the serous. However I did like it even if it wasn't as much and I cannot wait until the next one because that cliff hanger ending is just killing me. I'm one of those people who has to know what happens, especially when I'm really hooked to a series like I am with The Mortal Instruments. Hopefully Cassandra Clare will step it up and make the next book(s) just as good as the first three.

I don't know if the Infernal Devices is a money scheme so much as an added background/side story to The Mortal Instruments but I enjoyed the first book. Honestly I'm a big Will fan, even if I can't completely figure out why. I'm excited for the release of the Clockwork Prince and hopefully the book is as good as the first.

I didn't really like Will.. he seemed a bit too much like Jace for me. Nah, I like Jem quite a bit better.

I'm usually a Jace fan as well, except for in CoFA his character just bugged me a bit in that one. But even if will can be a bit of a jerk...or well maybe a big on he is a good guy underneath it all. Jem just seems too good to me, and a bit odd. He's still a great guy and it really breaks my heart about what happened to him.
