Itacjhi sat down in the chair in front of the principal's desk as he placed his messenger back next to him. After he was done moving he looked at Principal Tsunade to see a smiling blonde woman sitting in front of him."You may be aware of our policy against fighting Mr. Uchiha. However, given the circumstances of it being the first day of school be warned that this is your first and only warning. You are dismissed. Itachi nodded his head as he got up and bowed low to her as he left the room."Who's next?" asked Tsunade."Call him in."

Sasuke waited, a bit impatiently, for it to be his turn to see the principal. He looked up at Itachi when his brother came back out. Then he was called in. He stood and entered the room, taking a seat in front of the woman's desk. So this was the principal. He was a bit surprised. He was expecting for a man to be it. Not that it mattered, it was just what he was expecting.

Itachi walked out into the hallway again as he noticed that he hadn't spent that much time in the office. He decided that he would go to what remaining classes he had as he began walking down the hallway. He let out a sigh as he walked praying that his younger brother was going to get the same "punishment" as him.

Sasuke examined the principal for a moment. He wasn't sure if he was going to get off with nothing, considering the fact that he broke that kid's nose. But that didn't mean he didn't hope. "So. What's my punishment?" he asked. It didn't matter to him what it was. Just as long as his father didn't find out.

Tsunade looked at the boy in front of him knowing immediately that he was Itachi's younger brother. How could she not, they looked exactly the same, except Sasuke looked a lot younger. She looked at him from across the table as she smiled at him and gave him the same speal that she had given Itachi. Basically, it's the first day of classes, don't mess up again, and go back to class. Tsunade dismissed him as she went back to reading more reports about the incoming freshman as she shooed him away with her hand.

Sasuke was relieved when he didn't get in trouble. Even if he wasn't expecting it. He nodded to what she said and got up and left. Though he really didn't want to go to his classes. Even if he had to. With a sigh, he did anyway. He came in late, and got scolded by the teacher. But he ignored him and took a seat in the back of the class, leaning back in his seat.

Itachi sat down in his seat as the teacher continued to lecture on attendance and other things that she expected out of her students. Itachi rolled his eyes as he felt that the attendance portion of the syllabus was directed at him. He didn't care though, since he was a straight A student, so as long as he produced well thought out work then everything would be fine. The class let out early since it was the first day of school. Same old, same old.

Sasuke didn't listen to a word the teacher said. It didn't really matter to him, seeing as how he didn't really care if he got in trouble. Just as long as his Father wasn't called, that it. It was a huge relief when they let out of school. He was starting to get a headache from all the girls that wouldn't leave him alone. No matter what he did. He was instantly out the door and on his way back home, not stopping to wait for Itachi like he was supposed to.

Itachi, once he was let out of class, made his way to his locker as he took books out that he would need to go over at home as he went running out of the building. He looked around noticing that his brother was not near the flagpole like he was supposed to be. Looking around he saw his brother's slim hurriedly walking in the direction towards home. Running up along side of him he caught his brother by the shoulder and turned him around as he looked into his brother's eyes. "Sasuke," said Itachi. "Why didn't you wait for me?"

Sasuke wasn't very surprised when Itachi caught up with him. Though he was hoping for a few more minutes to himself. He just shrugged as an answer to his brother's question. He turned again and started walking again. Once he got home, he planned to lock himself in his room. Maybe then he'll have some peace and quiet. Though for some reason he doubted it.

Itachi wasn't really liking the reactions that he was getting from his brother when he arrived next to him. "Must be first day school jitters," thought Itachi as he continued to walk alongside of his brother. Itachi didn't want to bring up the fact that he was worried about his brother or anything in regards to the discipline, or the lack thereof, that they both received. He figured that it was punishment enough for the younger Uchiha to be seen by his older brother. Itachi continued to walk in silence, down the street, towards their house when he looked at Sasuke and said,"So besides getting sent to the principal's office. How was school?"

Sasuke didn't even look at Itachi when he heard him speak. "It was fine.. I guess." And if by fine, he meant a complete waste of time, then yes. It was fine. It was the first day and he already hated going there. But there really wasn't any other options. It was that school or nothing. Though a part of him wanted to choose the nothing. Even though he knew his father wouldn't allow that.

Itachi listened to his brother as they continued to walk. He knew that his brother was lying to him, but he didn't want to bring it up. They had both had a hard day, and there didn't need to be anymore fighting between the two of them even before they got home.

As the two of them walked further down the road they ended up in front of their house. Taking a deep breath in he opened the door and held it open for his younger brother to go in.

Sasuke didn't mind that the rest of the walk was in silence. That was how he preferred it anyway. When Itachi held the door open, he couldn't help but smile slightly at him. Though it was barely noticable. He went inside and straight up to his room, locking the door behind him. Maybe now he could have some alone time.

Itachi watched as his younger brother walked into the house. After his brother was through the door he followed him in and closed it behind them. He watched as his brother went flying up the stairs and into his room. Shaking his head he turned to see that both his mother and father were standing in the nearby door frame to see what the loud bang was all about. His father gave him an odd look as he said,"What was that all about? Is everything alright?" Itachi looked at his father and shrugged. He knew darn well about what was going on, but he didn't want his brother getting in trouble. "I think he is just tired from his first day of school. It's nothing to be worried about." His father nodded as he turned around and went to back to the kitchen with his wife leaving Itachi in the hallway still.

Sasuke sat on his bed and sighed. He knew that he wouldn't be able to hid the fact that he had gotten into a fight. Not with a bruise on his face. He was going to hid it as long as possible though. He ended up falling asleep not to long later. He only woke up when he heard knocking on his door. It was his mother telling him it was time for dinner. With a sigh, he rolled out of bed and headed downstairs, his head down. Maybe Father wouldn't notice. He could only hope so as he took his seat at the table.

Itachi walked into the kitchen and grabbed something small from the fridge before he went to go and sit at the dinner table so he could begin his homework. Getting his books out he began to read for his classes tomorrow, but then he shook his head trying to clear it. He couldn't though as his thoughts kept drifting to his brother. What had happened to him other than getting sent to the principal's office earlier that day. Speaking of which what had he done to get himself placed there in the first place. Itachi closed the book in front of him as he closed his eyes and leaned back in his chair. His homework could wait until after dinner.

Once everybody was seated at the table, their mother served dinner. Sasuke was relieved to hear that nobody said anything about him. He kept his head down as he ate, hoping to stay invisible. Their mother asked a few questions about his day and he answered in one word responses. Even though that annoyed her. She didn't complain about it though.

Itachi helped his mother with the cooking almost every single night and soon dinner was done. Itachi went to go and call Sasuke down for dinner, and as soon as he came down the stairs they began eating. The dinner was rather uneventful and soon the meal was over. He was glad that he could get away with one worded answers, but he also knew that his mother would probably be mad at him because she wanted to know more. The dinner ended and Itachi excused himself so he could go retire for the night and finish his homework.

Once dinner was over, Sasuke excused himself and went up to his room. Luckily, Father didn't notice anything about him. And any other day that would bother him. But it didn't today. He grabbed some clean boxers, his sleeping pants, and a towel before going into the bathroom. He planned to take a shower and go to bed. Luckily, he didn't have any homework. And evey if he did, he probably wouldn't do it. He didn't like doing work on the first day.

Itachi looked at the homework in front of him as he let out a sigh. "Why did I take all of these difficult classes?" Last summer, before school had started, Itachi had taken the AP tests to get into AP classes for the following school year. He passed all of them and now he had to take those classes, which also included doing the homework for those classes. He opened his eyes again as he continued to work on his homework. He needed to get as much done as possible so that he could go to bed. He would go to bed early and then get up early as well so he could finish it.

Sasuke took a long, hot shower before getting out. He dried off before getting dressed and heading to his room. He collapsed on the bed, tired. It really would be a good thing that he had no homework. It wouldn't have gotten done. He crawled under the blankets and curled into a ball before closing his eyes. But he couldn't sleep. Instead, he just laid there, trying to sleep.

Itachi heard the water shut off as he glanced towards his door. He yawned as he decided that he would take a shower as well. Getting up from his chair he got a clean pair of pajamas as he grabbed a towel from the cabinet in the hallway as well. He heard his brothers door, from down the hallway, close. So that meant that he had the bathroom to himself. Walking into the bathroom he stripped down and walked into the warm spray of water. Washing quickly he was soon done as he dressed in his pajamas and dried off his hair. He walked out of the bathroom and into his room where he went to sleep almost immediately.

Sasuke heard the shower start again and figured that it was Itachi, not one of his parents. They normally showered in the morning. He tried to sleep for another couple hours before just giving up for the night. He really didn't understand why he couldn't sleep. Normally he would go talk to itachi about things like this. But he was to old to go do that. But he was to tired to care. So he rolled out of bed and went and knocked on his brother's door, quietly, but loud enough hoping that he would be able o hear it.

Itachi had a fitful night of sleep and kept going in and out of consciousness. Rolling over when he heard a knock on his door he got out of his bed and walked over to the door. It was probably his brother wanting to talk. He smiled at that thought though. He remembered a few years back when his brother would come in and talk to him every night before bed. In retrospect Itachi kind of missed that time that he spent with his brother. Opening the door he looked at his brother and said,"Yes, Sasuke. Is everything alright?"
