Sasuke was silent for a moment when Itachi answered the door. He felt bad about waking him up. But he really needed to do this. Though he wasn't sure why. "Yeah, Itachi. Everything's fine." he told him, nodding slightly. "Its just that.... I can't sleep and... I was wondering if I could sleep in here tonight.." There. He said it. Couldn't take it back now. This was something he hasn't asked for since they were kids. His eyes dropped to the floor as he waited for his brother to respond.

When Itachi opened the door he was greeted by the sight of his brother who was dressed in his pajamas. On closer inspection he could tell from his body posture that something was bothering the teen. Backing away a little bit to let the bluenette enter he walked back towards his bed and sat down. Itachi listened to his younger brother as a smile found its way onto his face. He looked at his brother and then back at his bed, and then at his brother again as he said,"Sure you can, however, neither of us is sleeping on the floor." He patted the spot on the bed next to him. "By the way don't lie to me, there's something off about you right now. What is it?"

Sasuke was relieved when Itachi didn't tell him to go away like he had been expecting. Though he wouldn't have minded sleeping on the floor, he went to sit by his brother on the bed. "There is nothing off about me." the bluenette said, a bit confused. "I just couldn't get to sleep." he added, knowing that it wasn't a very good explanation. But it was hard to explain better when he hadn't known something was wrong. So he was clearly confused.

Itachi looked at his brother and nodded. "Fair enough," said his brother dropping the subject, but clearly being a little confused that Sasuke was here doing this after 3 years of not doing coming here. It was just odd. "Is here a reason why you can't sleep? Are you nervous about something? Or are you excited about tomorrow at school." Itachi paused and then looked at the floor. "I don't want to overstep my boundaries but do you want me to give you a back massage to relax you?"

Sasuke shook his head. He wasn't nervous or excited about anything. Though he wasn't looking forward to see the guy whose nose he broke again. He knew that probably wouldn't be good. He thought about the other question before mentally shrugging. Why not? "If you think that would help, then sure." he stated.

Itachi listened to his brother as he nodded. "I think it might," said Itachi as he looked at Sasuke then at his bed. "I mean it worked out when you were a little kid, and when you were a younger teenager. So I am pretty sure that it will work now. Get on the bed and strip your shirt off."

Sasuke nodded and did as Itachi said. Sure, he was convinced that this wasn't going to work. But it wasn't going to hurt to try, right? What's the worse that can happen? These are the things that Sasuke mentally asked himself as he laid on the bed on his stomach.

Itachi watched the bluenette get onto the bed after he stripped his shirt. He licked his own lips as he went to go and sit on the bed next to him as he leaned over and began to massage the sore muscles of Sasuke's back. He started at the top first with Sasuke's neck and shoulders and then started going down to his lower back. Going back to his younger brother's shoulders again he gave a bewildered look as he said,"Sasuke why are you so tense?"

Sasuke could feel his muscles relaxing as Itachi rubbed his back. It really did feel good. He shrugged slightly at the question. "I don't know. I didn't even know I was tense." the bluenette stated. The more he relaxed, the tireder he felt. His eyes slipped closed and it didn't take him to long to fall asleep.

Itachi continued to rub Sasuke's shoulders as he heard his brother let out a sigh of pure bliss as he fell asleep. He leaned over and kissed his brother on the neck gently as he went to retrieve an extra blanket from closet in the hallway. He came back and draped it over his brother's lithe form as he went to go and turn the light off. He turned the light off and then moved back to the bed and moved his brother over a little bit as he snuggled under the blanket as well. He slept peacefully that night. In fact that was the first night in a month that he slept peacefully.

The following morning he opened his eyes and gasped out loud as he looked around. He was in bed with his brother. He was in bed with his brother. His arms were draped around his brothers waist as he looked around trying to figure out what was going on. He steadied out his breathing as he got out of bed and went to go and take a long, cold shower.

Sasuke didn't wake up at first when Itachi got up. He woke up from behind suddenly cold. And when he did, he had no idea where he was. But once he remembered, he freaked out that he was in his brother's room. He hadn't come in here in the middle of the night in a long time, so why did he start now?! He rolled out of bed and headed back to his own room to get his clothes so that he could get in the shower once Itachi was done. For now though, he went downstairs to get something for breakfast.

Itachi stood in the shower as he let the cold water pelt down his naked, lithe form. Had he done anything to his younger brother?! He was pretty sure that he hadn't, but he needed to make sure. Yet, he was afraid to ask the bluenette. He decided that he would say something to his brother if his brother approached him and said anything back at him. However, until then he would play it cool, like he always did. He finished with his cold shower and immediately went back to his room as he was shivering cold and then grabbed his clothes for the day. He looked at himself in the mirror as he placed his hair in a low ponytail. He was dressed in a pair of black jeans and a faded blue T-shirt with a some logo on it. He then went downstairs and looked at his brother as he saw him sitting at the table eating breakfast. "Morning," he said as he looked at his brother as he went to go and make himself a piece of toast.

Sasuke looked up from his cereal when Itachi came in. "Morning." he said. He was silent for a moment. "Thanks for letting me sleep in your room last night.. I hope that I didn't bother you." he added. He didn't want to be a bother to him. That was the last thing he wanted. So he really hoped that he didn't. Though he still felt bad about bothering his brother in the middle of the night. He should have just dealt with it himself.

Itachi watched as the toast popped out of the toaster and he went to the fridge and put some butter on it. Sitting in front of his brother on the other side of the table he smiled at his younger brother's words. "It was no problem," said Itachi as he placed a bite of his toast into his mouth. "I actually rather missed it. You know you spending time with me. You didn't bother me at all. As long as you got sleep, that's all that matters." Itachi finished his toast as he looked at the clock. He had about 2 hours before school started and he still had some homework to do.

Sasuke smiled slightly, glad he hadn't been a bother to Itachi. He finished eating his cereal and put the bowl in the sink. "Thanks, again." he said before going upstairs and going into the restroom. He took a long, hot shower before finishing. He wrapped the towel around his waist and went to his room to get dressed. He pulled on some black jeans with a black shirt. This would do for today.

Once Itachi got up the stairs he went into his room where he took out more of his homework and began working on it diligently. It was done within the next hour or so and he put his homework back into his book bag as he walked back down the stairs and went to go and sit in front of the T.V. "Sasuke. Are you ready to go in an hour?"

Sasuke grabbed his back and slipped on his some boots before coming downstairs. "Yeah. I'm ready to go." he told him. He took a seat on the couch, knowing it was to early to leave for school. And he definitely didn't want to be to early for school.

Itachi watched as his brother came over ready to go to school. He was in the same boat as himself. He didn't want to leave yet. It was way too early to go to school. Getting to school so early would mean that he would have nothing to do, and he was pretty sure that if either him or Sasuke got there early they would be swamped with girls annoying them. Itachi looked over at his brother and smiled. Leaning over he placed his hand on the other's shoulder and hugged the other one reassuringly.

Sasuke smiled slightly at Itachi. He hated just siting around doing nothing. But he also didn't want to get swamped by the fangirls once he got to the school. With a sigh, he leaned back against the couch. He was so bored! He really wished he had something to do to pass the time. The bluenette figured that he could watch tv, but there wasn't ever anything interesting on at this time. So there wasn't anything.

Itachi was bored out of his mind, but he knew that going to school early was certain suicide. Grabbing the T.V. remote from the table he turned the T.V. on. There was never anything particularly interesting on in the morning, but at least it let them pass the time by doing something while they waited to leave. Itachi flipped around a few channels as he looked for something that was slightly interesting. After he went through the channels once he turned the T.V. off and placed the remote back on the end table. "I guess there is nothing on right now."

"Of course there isn't. There never is this early in the morning." Sasuke stated. He stood and stretched. He was done sitting around. He figured that if he left now and walked slowly, he might not be there really early. At least, that was what he was hoping. And it was better than just sitting around.

Itachi watched Sasuke get off of the couch and he followed suit. It was odd that their parents hadn't gotten up yet. They were both early risers, and for them not to get up in the morning meant that they had a rare day off or a rare day when they were able to sleep in. They both worked at the same law firm so they both left around the same time to conserve gas. Getting to the front door he held it open for his younger brother as he walked out himself.

Sasuke smiled slightly at Itachi as he went past him. Though the smile dropped once he was. He kept his head down as he walked. And he walked quickly, not wanting to be beside him on the way to school. After last night he felt closer to his brother. But that wasn't something he had wanted. So he needed to put distance between them.

Itachi was a little troubled that his brother completely ignored the fact that they were walking together, but he decided that he wouldn't press the matter since they were approaching the school rather quickly. There were already girls waiting outside for them and he grimaced as he saw the group. They began approaching him and he backed up a little bit as he took in a deep breath. "You ready for this, Sasuke," he said to his brother as he gave his brother's shoulder a squeeze.

Sasuke had completely forgotten he was walking with Itachi until his brother said something and squeezed his shoulder. He jumped slightly, not expecting it. ".. Don't talk to me.." he stated before storming off. He didn't want to be associated with Itachi. Not when it meant being compared to him at everything. That just left way to much pressure and he couldn't handle it. Not anymore.
