Itachi looked at his brother as he saw the dark haired youth go stalking passed him. Shaking his head he looked at his retreating form as he took his arm away. "Fair enough," he said as he pushed passed his brother. Two could play at this game. The ignore game that was. Walking through the front doors he walked passed the squealing girls and into his homeroom where he placed his headphones on and began listening to music as he tried to drone out the voices of the girls around him.

Sasuke went to class and took a seat in the back. Instantly a group of girls surrounded him. He glared at them. Why couldn't they see that he just wanted to be left alone?! Soon enough, though, class started and they had to go to their seats. But Sasuke didn't pay to much attention to the teacher. He spent the time staring out the window.

Itachi barely heard the gaggling of the girls around him stop when class started. "Day 2," thought Itachi as he looked out the window. Class had just started and he already wanted to be out of class spending more time with his brother. He let his mind wander a little bit as he wondered what his brother was doing.

The teacher noticed that Sasuke wasn't paying attention. So he ended up with a detention. But that was mainly because he was yelling at the teacher to stop talking to him. Not the smartest thing that he did. But he was just getting so annoyed and he couldn't stand it anymore. He was really hating this school.

Itachi continued to look out the window as his named was called twice. He didn't hear it and he turned to the teacher and cussed him out for knocking him out of his day dreaming. The class immediately got silent as he looked around realizing what he had just said. The teacher just looked at him and he knew immediately that he was going to be in detention after school. Letting out a sigh he glared at the teacher and began taking notes again. He just hoped that Sasuke's morning experience was better than his.

Sasuke was relieved when it was the end of the day. He had avoided Itachi at lunch because he wasn't sure how to explain the detention. But he would have to evenutally. Just not right now. He went straight to the room detention was served in and took a seat inside, already bored. But he was sure that it couldn't last to long.

Itachi was glad once he class ended. After his initial class his whole day practically flew by. He saw his brother a few times, but he could tell that he was trying to avoid him so he just let his younger brother have his way. There was most certainly something going on in regards to his brother wanting his distance from him. As the final bell rang he looked at the detention slip in his hand as he walked to the room. He was indeed two for two. Principal's office day 1 and a detention day 2. His parents were going to be oh so proud. Walking into the room he froze in the doorway when he saw his younger brother sitting in one of the chairs. Deciding that he would ask his brother about it later he went to the back and sat there. Hopefully the half an hour would go quickly.

Sasuke was surprised to see Itachi in detention. His brother never got in trouble. Not until he started going to this school. Which, of course, made him start blaming himself. Whether it was his fault or not. He turned and looked back in Itachi. "So.. What are you in for?" he asked, not really caring about the answer. Chances were it would be like his, yelling at the teacher.

Itachi looked up at his brother and gave his a quizzical look before he said,"I am here right now because I wasn't attentive in class. I was daydreaming again, as usual. I was dumb," he paused before he added,"By the way why are you here? You always used to be such a model student."

Sasuke was silent as Itachi explained why he was here. "Basically the same reason. I yelled at the teacher. And I've never really been a model student. You have though." he stated, his eyes narrowing slightly. He always did hate how Itachi was so perfect while nothing he did was good enough.

Itachi nodded as he listened to his younger brother talk. After he was done though the teacher that was overseeing the detention came in and started talking about what they could and couldn't do during the detention. Itachi rolled his eyes and began doing his homework, which he finished in record time as usual.

Once they could leave Itachi hastily gathered his things and then left the room, not even waiting for his brother. He wanted to be out of that place, and on his way home. He didn't want to be with his brother of all people at a detention. It was degrading in his mind. He was a model student, a student that never did anything wrong.

Sasuke didn't do any homework while in detention, though he knew he should have. He just sat there in silence, staring at the desk. He was sure that both him and Itachi would be in a lot of trouble once their father found out. Sure, that didn't matter to him, but he knew it would to his brother.

He was surprised when Itachi didn't wait for him. Sasuke gathered his things and walked home slowly. It was nearly dark by the time he arrived back. Ignoring everybody, he went straight up to his room.

Itachi got to the house first and immediately sat down at the kitchen table. He was tired beyond belief. Thankfully his parents weren't there yet. He imagined that had they been there that there would be a ton of questions that he would have to answer in regards to being late coming home. He was never late, for anything. He decided after a little while that he would go upstairs and take a nap. He didn't hear Sasuke come in since he was asleep.

Their mother woke Itachi up when she arrived home with their father. She apologized for them being late and began making dinner. Their father went to his study to do some work. Sasuke was still up in his room. He had heard his parents return, but since they weren't talking to him, he didn't see the point in coming downstairs.

Itachi was having a good nap until his parents came home. He was having such a good dream about he and his brother being together in more than one way. He opened his eyes though and told his mom and father that it was alright. She asked him if he wanted any dinner, and he was about to say no, when his stomach growled rather loudly. "I guess," said Itachi as he got out of bed and made his way downstairs. As he watched his mother begin to cook he went up the stairs, told his father that dinner would be ready soon, and then went to Sasuke's room and knocked on the door softly. He knew that Sasuke would probably be angry that he was woken up, but he also knew that his brother needed to eat something.

Sasuke heard a knock on his door and considered not answering it. He was to tired to care who it was. But if it was his mother or father it would be rude to not answer. So, stretching, he stood and went over to the door. He opened it and saw that it was Itachi. "What do you want?" he asked, his voice annoyed. He was still mad at his brother for just leaving without him.

Itachi stood in front of the door as it was opened, revealing his brother, who looked rather tired. [B]"Hello,"[/B[ said Itachi. He knew immediately that his brother was mad at him, but over what Itachi was not so sure "Mom is making dinner, and I wanted to know if you wanted to come downstairs and get some. I know you're tired, and you probably have homework or something so I could bring it up to you as well." Itachi knew that the last request was a long shot seeing as how his brother was trying not to live in Itachi's shadow, but it would give the two brothers a chance to do more bonding.

"I'm not hungry." Sasuke stated. But he could hear his stomach growling. He just wasn't sure if Itachi could. And even if he could he wasn't coming down. Not so that he could be ignored by their father or asked stupid questions about his day by his mother. He would rather eat alone. With that being said, he shut the door before laying back on his bed.

Itachi looked at his brother as his eyes narrowed a little bit. "You know you need to," before he could finish his sentence the door in front of him was slammed closed. He tried the handle of the door though, finding that it was unlocked. He opened the door and then walked into the room, closing the door behind him. "You know you do need to eat," said Itachi. "You can eat up here if you want to, I can eat here as well, if you want me to do that to. Either way though you have to eat." He knew that he was playing the concerned brother card again, but he loved his brother.

Sasuke shook his head. "No. I'm not hungry. Now get out of my room." he said, glaring slightly at Itachi. He wasn't going to fall for his 'concerned brother' act. He didn't really care. "Just leave me alone." He rolled over in his bed so that his back was to his brother. Why couldn't he tell that he wanted to be left alone?! The only thing he was doing was bothering him.

Itachi heard his brother's voice and narrowed his eyes a little bit. Itachi did as he was told though and got up and then walked towards the door as he opened it. "Stop being such a brat," yelled Itachi as he walked through the door and slammed the door behind him. Walking down the stairs he went to go sit on the couch in front of the T.V. as he watched the news with his father. Soon he could smell the food that was cooking and his mouth watered a little bit as he heard his stomach rumble. They would be ready to eat soon. He tried to drown out his own thoughts of his brother, who was upstairs brooding, but he couldn't.

Sasuke flinched slightly when Itachi suddenly yelled at him and slammed the door. He really wasn't expecting for that to happen. A part of him felt bad about making his brother mad. But another part felt he deserved it. And that was the part that was dominant. So it was the part that made him stay in bed instead of going downstairst to apologize. He figured that he always could do that later. That is, if Itachi even wanted to talk to him.

Itachi continued to watch the T.V. with his father, and then he ate dinner. He cleared off his place mat and then went upstairs with a plate of food to see his brother. He also wanted to apologize for yelling at his brother. Knocking on the door he waited to see if his younger brother would open the door for him and let him in. He wasn't going to open the door, it was probably locked anyway, because he didn't want to invade Sasuke's privacy.

Sasuke was still laying on his bed. He heard a knock on the door, and a part of him didn't want to get up. But he rolled out of bed and opened the door. His eyes narrowed seeing it was Itachi. "What do you want?" he asked, his voice a bit cold. He saw the food that he had brought with him. But he wasn't going to accept. He wasn't going to take anything HE offered. He'd go get something himself.

Itachi heard the door open and then his brother looked at him. He cold tell that his brother was still mad at him. He held out the plate of food though, and hoped that the other male would accept it. "I brought you some dinner," said Itachi. "I was hoping that you would take it and eat it." He knew that his brother was stubborn, but he also knew that his brother wasn't stupid, and that his pride hopefully wouldn't get the best of him.
