Roxas had actually grown sleepy once he was done eating. The combination of a full stomach and warm sunlight tended to do that to him. His head dropped and he started to doze off when he heard the sound of Axel's voice. He jumped awake and blinked a few times to wake himself up. "I'm not sure.. I must have been a long time." he said, glad that he hadn't fallen completely asleep. It would have took him forever to actually wake up then.

Axel slowly got to his feet starting to pack the basket with their leftovers, he didn't like leaving trash behind in this special spot it would be disrespectful to the memories they shared here, or at least that's what he thought anyway. "We had better get back, they've probably noticed your gone by now, and through you me Axel told Sora stretching the kinks from his back. Picking up the basket he looking down at Sora who still sat on the rock "What do ya say time to head back?"

Roxas nodded as he stood up. "Sounds good to me." he said, smiling lightly. He hoped that no-one noticed that he was gone. Or if they did, they wouldn't think much of it. After all, this was just his first day here. There was absolutely no need for him to end up having people watching over him more carefully than normal. He stopped a yawn in his throat, knowing there was no way he could be tired. It must have just been from the nap earlier. He let his attention sweep through the clearing once more as he waited for Axel to lead the way. He was sure if he started walking he would either go in the wrong direction or end up getting himself lost.

Stepping around Sora with a roll of his eyes Axel took the lead "how is it although we've been here so many times you seem to get lost heading home?" Axel asked sidestepping a tree. Though they used to come to this meadow a lot the faint trail that used to be there was overgrown, they obviously hadn't come back in awhile. Axel wondered why he had brought them here in the first place, shrugging he pushed it aside as they silently walked back to the palace.

Roxas frowned, pretending to be upset by that comment. He hadn't known that Sora got lost on the way back. But that just helped him since he had no idea where he was going. He wiped the look off his face as he followed after Axel, keeping his gaze down so he wouldn't end up tripping over something. "Well sorry that I don't have a great sense of direction.." he muttered, crossing his arms lightly.

"No but then you never did I swear if it wasn't for me you would have gotten lost in the palace. Not that I blame you that place is like a maze in certain parts" Axel commented as they finally exited the woods, the walk hadn't felt like twenty minutes although it had been, maybe he was just to caught up in internal thoughts. "O look they are looking for you" Axel said softly drawing Sora back into the shadow of the forest as a soldier walked by looking for Sora

Roxas was silent for a long moment. He wasn't really aware of how lost Sora got at times. But at least now, if he got lost in the castle, he had an excuse. That fact cheered him up some. He froze though when the soldier walked past. He waited until he was gone before looking at Axel. "... Am I going to be in trouble now?" he asked.

"Your parent's might be a little irritated but they won't be that concerned it's the council men who made such a big deal out of this. All they want from you is to use you so they can move up in power. It's why I keep telling you to stop listening to the leeches" Axel told him looking out from behind the tree to see if the soldiers had left yet. Seeing that they had Axel grabbed Sora by the arm and pulled him toward the palace ducking behind various statues and hedges as soldiers walked by. Once inside he took Sora down the hall, it was then that they ran into one of the council men a round older man who thought himself above everyone.

Roxas had to admit, he was glad that Sora's parents wasn't going to be mad at him. But he frowned when he heard that these council men seemed to control Sora. That didn't seem right. If he had any control over it, he wouldn't let anybody control him. But he didn't really have a choice. So he was just going to have to push through it. He froze when he caught sight of the councilmen, whom was easy to recognize. The man grabbed hold of Roxas' arm and turned without saying a word and headed towards the meeting room. Roxas shot Axel a look, just begging to be rescued.

Axel straightened his spine and hurried after Sora he had a feeling he was going into a fight not one of brawn but one of wits, the council men had a tight hold on Sora didn't look to be letting him go anytime soon. The council men dragged Sora right into the meeting room forcing him into a chair. Axel followed close behind although the men kept shooting him looks, ignoring them he stood behind Sora knowing he would need his help. The council men hated Axel because whenever he could Axel kept Sora away from them, and when he couldn't he whispered information into Sora's ear. It was easy to get information when one was a flirt he thought smugly

Roxas was glad when whoever that man was let go of his arm. He felt like it was losing circulation and he nearly sighed in relief. He thought about just getting up and leaving, but he could tell by the looks on the other council-people faces that it wouldn't be a good idea. He was glad though that Axel was here to help him get through this. Because the moment everyone was seated, the meeting started. It was so boring, Roxas was finding it hard to focus. But somehow he managed, so he was proud of that fact.

Axel was finding it harder and harder to concentrate on the meetings it was always the same old things, they went over new laws that might be passed or which one's to turn in for authorization to Sora's parents so they could be passed. While Axel agreed it was important for Sora to know this stuff he didn't have to be here for this, more he should be there for the more important things. What the council usually did was make Sora sit through all the unimportant things, but when important things turned up they excluded him. Axel knew that because of his stature in the palace he was likely to become one of these council men. "It's almost over" Axel whispered to a sleepy looking Sora

Roxas wasn't surprised when he started to doze off during the meeting. None of the councilmen seemed to notice, which was good because he wouldn't end up getting into any trouble. He woke up quickly though when he heard Axel speak and he blinked a few times before looking at the redhead. "How much longer?" he whispered back, sure his voice sounded tired even though it was low.

"Ten more minutes of this hell then it's off to bed for you mr sleepyhead" Axel teased in a low voice ignoring the glare from a council member who heard him whispering. It was some of the ten longest minutes of his life, thankfully the meeting ended and before the council men could converge on Sora Axel swept him out of there. "Whew finally I swear if there's a way to die from boredom I think we just found it" he joked after he had dragged Sora far enough away from the room that the council members wouldn't know where they had went. "So what have we learned today?" Axel asked Sora in a teasing voice finally stopping in a hidden niche and turning to face him

Roxas nodded slowly, sure that he could sit through the last ten minutes of this extremely boring meeting. He was just about to start dozing off again when he felt Axel suddenly yank him away. That was a surefire way to wake him up. He blinked a few times when they came to a stop a good distance away from the council room, trying to get his surroundings. He stifled a yawn as he tried to think back about what they were saying at the meeting. He shrugging lightly. "I don't know. I wasn't really paying attention." he said. He figured it wasn't really a big deal. Sora had told them that they tended to repeat themselves during the meetings anyway.

"One day you'll have to know all this stuff Sora I won't be around to help forever, well maybe I will I might become an adviser or something. But irregardless you must learn this stuff for yourself" Axel said leaning back against the wall behind him. "O well there's still time no need to rush things" he said flippantly. "So what would you like to do now or did the meeting wear you out?"

Roxas frowned for a second. He didn't see a point in knowing these things, seeing as how he wasn't going to be staying in the castle for the rest of his life. But he nodded anyway, to show Axel that he'd try harder to pay attention. "I'm fine." he said. He was actually more awake now that he wasn't listening to the councilmen speak. He would like to do something, but he didn't know what was something that Sora would pick. "What would you like to do?"

"Aye I already picked what we did earlier it's your turn my brain is officially off for the evening, after sitting through that meeting it's powered down" Axel joked running a hand through his hair pushing it out of his face. He wasn't all that sure what he wanted to do, to lazy to spar today, yet with enough energy not to want to sit around. Pushing himself away from the wall he took Sora by the arm and continued their walk "well what do you want to do?" he asked again

Roxas frowned for a second. He didn't know why, but for some reason he knew that Axel was going to say that. He scanned his mind for things they could possibly do, but he was coming up blank. He sighed and pulled his arm from Axel's hold as he ran a hand through his hair. "Honestly.. I don't know. My mind's not working right now." he admitted.

"Well then that makes two of us. Come lets find something to do" Axel put his hand on Sora's shoulder and rather forcefully steered him in a new direction, he wasn't really sure where he was going but he would find something for the pair to do. "O idea Sora remember how you've always told me you wanted to get out of the palace and visit town despite your kind parents refusal time and again each time you asked. Well why don't we sneak out and go it could be fun" Axel said thoughtfully

Roxas didn't like being shoved around like that, but he didn't say anything. He knew Sora wouldn't complain about it, so he knew he shouldn't. As they walked, he felt a cold feeling grow in his stomach and it spread throughout his body. Going to town right now would not be a good idea. Especially since the chance that they'd run into Sora was high. But he put a smile on his face and nodded. "Sounds great!" he exclaimed, hoping he sounded enthusiastic. He figured he'd be able to avoid his look-alike, if said person follows his normal schedule.
