"One of Duo's buddies is like Yusuke," Naomi offered. "Way more human, but the same otherwise. One is a dragon, but still mostly human. One I'm tentatively pinning as a dryad. And the last is an elemental of some kind. All are about the same percentage of human as Duo. Maybe dragon-guy is marginally less human."

Oh neat. Osanna grinned. So do I get to meet them eventually? Or is he just here for a pleasure trip?

"Eventually you'll meet them," Naomi said. "For now, I'm just here to get you, and we're going home for a bit." She grinned a little. "I'm sure your garden needs attention."

Osanna nodded. My poor garden is probably starving for attention. And really, she didn't mind just going home for now. She'd had enough excitement for the moment.

"I figured," Naomi said, grinning. "Go on and tell the Elrics you're leaving, so they don't freak out when you're gone."

Osanna nodded and headed inside, going to go tell Al that she was leaving. Because he was usually easier to talk to than Ed. If only because Ed was often engrossed in whatever he was doing.

Al was a little surprised when Osanna said she was leaving, but nodded anyways. He figured Naomi must have come back, and anyways, Osanna would be able to take care of herself in Amestris if she had to.

Osanna grinned. I'll see you soon, I'm sure, she wrote before hugging Al briefly. Thank you.

Al grinned and hugged her back.

"No problem," he said. "Have a safe trip."

Osanna nodded and left, heading back outside.

Okay, we're ready to go.

"Alrighty," Naomi replied. She glanced at Duo. "Ready?"

Duo nodded. "Yeah, I'm ready whenever you are." He grinned briefly and made sure that Osanna was close enough.

Naomi nodded and nudged the book again.

"Home?" she asked.

Which home? the book snarked, but it took them to the appropriate place anyway, dropping them there. Because it was feeling bitchy.

"Smartass," Naomi snarked back half-heartedly as she got back to her feet on her front lawn. It was warm outside, and she made a bit of a face as she rolled up her sleeves.

Osanna grinned at them briefly before she darted off to go check on her garden and all her plants. As suspected, some of them weren't doing so well, but they were all alive, at least. Which made her happy.

Duo snorted as he watched her. "It's nice here," he said quietly. "I think I like this even better than wherever it was with the alchemy."

"We've got technology," Naomi pointed out, grinning. "More advanced than steam engines, anyways."

Duo snorted. "Your technology is still nothing compared to mine. But this is nice. I haven't seen any place like this, just kind of out away from a real city, for a while."

"There's a lake a quarter mile into the woods," Naomi offered. "A water sprite lives out there, though. Osa and I live on the edge of town."

Duo nodded, looking around slowly. "I don't see places like this. Ever, pretty much. This is nice. I could get used to this." He grinned briefly. "Although I doubt the rest of this world would like my giant robot, as you put it."

"We have nerds, just like everywhere else," Naomi teased as she unlocked her house. "Mechas are popular right now."

"Oh, I'm not surprised." Duo grinned briefly. "So, I'm assuming that house is yours, since Osanna went to the other one."

"You assume correctly," Naomi said. "Fair warning, I keep it cold. If you don't like the cold, bunk with Osanna. You'll like her garden, anyways, it's very fox-friendly."

"I've never been around a proper garden," Duo said slowly. "But we'll see. If the others come we'll have to find places for all of them."

"We've got space," Naomi said as she went straight to adjust the thermostat. "Five people between two houses? No problem. But you're all paranoid to the extreme, that might become an issue if we have to keep an eye on you all at the same time. I mean, I'm betting you can feel all the ambient energy in the air as it is, and we're not even in town."
