Oh come on, Osa, I was teasing, Naomi said. Remind me to tell you about my little epiphany earlier, by the way.

Will do. Osanna went to go get her food, settling down to try to eat and relax.

Al looked over at Naomi and Osanna curiously.

"What were you doing with your hands?" he asked. "I've never seen that before."

"We were just talking," Naomi replied with a shrug. "Spelling out words. Well, okay, I have to spell them out. She actually knows the complicated stuff."

Osanna just smiled and ate quietly before getting up to go help with the dishes.

Yusuke had noticed Kurama looking at Osanna and nudged him with a grin.

"The next time you do that, Yusuke, remember what I said about dropping just the right words to Keiko," Kurama said in a low voice. He knew exactly what his friend was trying to do, and he would talk to Osanna on his own time, when she wasn't practically glued to Naomi at the hip.

Yusuke scowled at him and went to go find someone else to pester. Mainly Genkai.

Osanna got up, giving a quick excuse to Naomi, and went out to the garden. She loved that garden.

Naomi rolled her eyes. She knew how Osanna was about her little green things. It was best if Naomi herself didn't go back out to the garden. She wasn't entirely sure she wouldn't give the plants a terminal case of frostbite or something.

Osanna was quite happy to sit among her plants for a while.

Yusuke just generally had fun teasing people.

Naomi eventually got tired of Yusuke's teasing and went out to see what Osanna was up to. Besides, she wanted to tell her friend about what had happened earlier, and this was an ideal time to do so.

Osanna looked up when she heard Naomi, surrounded by a couple plants and lots of grass. She was very happy.

Naomi rolled her eyes when she saw Osanna.

"Why am I not surprised?" she teased.

Osanna just smiled and motioned for her to sit. These were very hardly plants, luckily.

Naomi sat down gingerly, trying not to touch any of the greenery. She was fairly sure she'd lose her life if any of them withered because of her.

Don't worry. These are all hardy plants. You should be fine. Osanna smiled.

"Yeah, that's what you said about one of the ones in your own garden at home," Naomi replied. "It still died. Anyways..." She glanced around, and switched to literally talking with her hands. Okay, what happened earlier. You heard Yusuke when he said that Yukina has a long lost brother?

Osanna nodded a couple times. Yeah, and then you freaked out. What the heck was that about?

I freaked out because apparently the fire-freak can read minds, Naomi said. She shuddered slightly. Not fun. But did you notice that if he and Yukina had the same coloring, they would look exactly the same?

Osanna paused, figuring out that picture in her head. Then her eyes widened to laughable proportions and she looked at Naomi, shocked. Are they really...?

"I don't know," Naomi replied aloud. "But as soon as I thought that thought, I got threatened for it." She switched back to finger-signs. Thing is... I don't think I would have been threatened if it wasn't true.

Osanna nodded her agreement, her eyes still wide. She was having a little difficulty adjusting to the thought, but once she did she could see it clearly. She shook her head a little at herself for having missed it.

"It makes no sense, though," Naomi said. "They've got to be polar opposites, such a thing just doesn't happen."

Sure it does. You've never met the rest of my family, but I have cousins and aunts and uncles that are nothing like me or my grandfather. Osanna shrugged. Besides, if he's a long-lost brother then they didn't grow up together. Nature vs nuture.

"It's not even that," Naomi said. She glanced around, then continued, they're literally opposites. Opposing elements aren't supposed to be related at all.

Osanna shrugged. I dunno. You could ask Kurama or Yusuke. I'm sure they'd know.

"Maybe, if it wouldn't get me killed in the process," Naomi replied. "You know Yukina's at least a Four? I mean, for a full-blood that's not unusual, but she just seems so quiet and sweet, it's hard to imagine."
