Harry ushered them out of the house and managed to cram everyone into his car, driving to the nearest easy spot to cross over into Winter. This was going to be interesting...

Osanna blinked and watched in minor awe as he made the rip between worlds. That was... interesting.

Naomi watched in awe, as well, and sighed involuntarily when a bit of cold air drifted through the rip. The cold air felt nice, and made being crammed into an itty-bitty Volkswagen worth it.

Harry stepped through after the two girls, pulling his duster around himself.

Is cold, were the first two things Osanna thought, and signed to Naomi. You should like it.

The cold smacked Naomi right in the face. Almost immediately, she relaxed her old on her power a bit, making the blue in her hair spread noticeably. It helped a little, but not much.

"Why is it so damn cold here?" she asked as she shoved her hands into her pockets.

"Because," Harry said, his voice rather grim. "We're in Winter." He started walking. "Keep close, and don't touch anything."

Osanna huddled in on herself, trying to make it a little less cold as she trudged after Harry.

Naomi loosened her hold on her energy as much as she dared before following the two of them. She was marginally less cold now, but she could definitely still feel the bitterness in the air.

Harry continued looking around, trying to find Molly. He wasn't quite sure exactly where she was, so he had to figure out where she was and get her out as soon as possible.

Naomi had to keep brushing her hair back out of her face when the wind blew it around. A good third of her hair was blue, now, rather than the inch-wide stripe there usually was. She stayed close to Osanna, wishing she could do something to help, but she was no good when it came to sharing warmth.

Osanna just kept trudging along, her teeth chattering. But she knew she just had to keep moving.

Harry kept walking, glancing back at the two girls to make sure they were keeping up alright.

Taking off the jacket that she had picked up in Amestris, Naomi gave it to Osanna. She could deal with the cold a little better than her friend, and Osa looked like she needed the extra layer. It would take longer for Naomi's skin to turn blue, after all.

Osanna nodded her thanks and slipped the jacket on, trying to keep herself as warm as possible.

Harry looked around and paused when he saw something up ahead. Molly, maybe?

Naomi squinted a bit when she saw a figure up ahead. Whoever it was, they were crouching down, as if trying to keep warm. She couldn't tell what they looked like, but her senses were picking up the same sparking, firecracker-like energy that she recognized in Harry.

Molly looked up from where she was huddled when she heard footsteps in the snow. At first, she thought she'd finally been found by the faeries. She'd given up on her veils a while ago, in favor of conserving energy, so she'd just tried not to make any sounds in hopes that nothing would find her until she could figure out where she was and how to get home again. She blinked a bit of snow out of her eyes and grinned when she recognized the very distinctive duster.

Harry sighed as he knelt next to Molly. "What are you doing here, grasshopper?" he asked, checking her over quickly. She seemed okay so far, which was good.

Osanna blinked. Apparently this was who they were supposed to find.

"'M not sure," Molly replied, trying to keep her teeth from chattering. "One minute I was downtown, then I'm here. Didn' do it m'self." And that was the strange part. She didn't open the Way herself, and she almost felt like she'd been pushed in, or tripped. She was lucky she hadn't ended up in a lake of acid or something when she went through, but she hadn't been able to get her bearings again, so she couldn't find her way home.

Naomi hung back with Osanna, not wanting to get in the way.

Harry sighed but nodded, helping her up. "Come on, let's head back. Before any of you freeze." He started ushering them towards the Way again, where they could get back to Chicago.

Naomi almost piped up that she would be relatively okay for a little while longer, but stayed quiet. She knew Osanna was freezing, and she wanted to get her friend back into the warm as soon as possible. Creatures who dealt with plants didn't deal so well with the cold, and humans didn't deal so well with the cold, either.

Molly stumbled for a moment before getting her footing back and letting herself be ushered back towards the real world again. She would be so glad to be back home.

Harry led the way back to where they went through, and opened the Way again. They hadn't run into anything else yet, which was good.

"Alright, everyone through," Harry ordered. Osanna was more than happy to obey.

Naomi followed Osanna through, and immediately made a face at the too-warm air. She had been starting to get used to the cold, and now she worked on reigning her energy back in so she could acclimate to the normal temperature again. Slowly, the blue in her hair started to shrink back down to its original size.

Molly went through next. She started to look better as soon as she was back through into the real world. It was warmer, and everything seemed more solid. She knew she was safe enough here, so she was able to relax a little even as she still shivered.

Osanna looked better once she was in the warmer air, relaxing a little. Harry led them back to the beetle, then paused. They weren't all going to fit. Of course.

"Maybe I should call Michael," he muttered, looking at Molly.

"I really don't want to have to explain what just happened," Molly replied. "I'm not even entirely sure what just happened myself."

Naomi raised an eyebrow.

"You can't just, like, magic the inside of the car bigger?" she asked. "What kind of nonsense world is this?"

Molly just turned and stared at her.

Harry sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Well, we're not all going to fit."

Mouse can sit on me, Osanna volunteered. I don't mind.

"I don't mind, either," Naomi agreed. "We can take the back seat with the dog." She looked at the other two, wondering what they thought of that. Hey, if she and Osa didn't mind, what was the issue, right?

Harry's eyebrows shot up but he didn't protest. He just opened the door so Osanna could climb in back, and Mouse let her and Naomi get settled in before he hopped in next to them.

"Ready to go home, grasshopper?"

"More than ready to go home, boss," Molly replied, settling into the front passenger seat. "Impromptu trips into Faerie aren't all that high on my to-do list on a good day."

Naomi got settled in the back, although she switched seats with Osa so that her friend could be next to the dog. Mouse was warm, after all, warmer than Naomi really liked, but she knew Osa could use the extra heat.

Harry nodded. "Good." He started driving towards Molly's house. It wouldn't take long from here, so he wasn't worried about time. Besides, as far as he knew, the two didn't have anywhere else to be.

Osanna settled in for the ride, relaxing next to the big dog's warmth.
