Both, Osanna signed. She stayed there, though, watching the other two. So, what should we tell them?

Niko didn't say anything, giving them some time. He knew that rushing people was not always smart.

We should figure out where we are, first, Naomi replied with one hand. And see if they're even safe, though they haven't tried anything yet... Still, it wouldn't hurt to make sure.

Osanna nodded a little and her eyes narrowed, just slightly, when Niko smirked faintly. No one had said anything, so what was he so damn amused about?

Shaking her head a little, she looked them over. The blondie had a sword and probably a couple other weapons, while tall dark and surly had at least two guns on him, and probably another weapon or two hidden somewhere. And they'd been around the boggles, or whatever they were called. So, potentially dangerous? She relayed that to Naomi.

Naomi nodded, although she kept an eye on the other two. Something about the one with dark hair didn't seem quite... right. And she wasn't sure what exactly it was, but whatever it was, it made her a little edgy.

Cal glanced from the girls to his brother. So, apparently one of them said something amusing... He almost wanted to ask what it was, just to break the lengthening silence, but he didn't for the moment. Let Niko deal with them.

"So," Niko said finally. "What do you know?" He raised an eyebrow at them. They were talking, and he already knew the answer, but he wanted Cal to know too. In case they decided to try something.

Osanna sighed and rested her head back against the tree. She was really tired now. Naptime.

"I guess that depends," Naomi replied. "What are you asking about? If you're asking what we know about this place, then just this side of absolutely nothing." Which was entirely true. But he didn't narrow his question down to what the girls had figured out just standing there.

"Where did you come from if you don't know anything about this place?" Niko asked, still quite calm. All he had to do was keep asking questions and he'd find the truth. Eventually.

"That's... hard to answer," Naomi said. "There's no real easy way to explain." It would take a while to even just say what was going on at the moment. "It involves alternate dimensions and all sorts of things like that."

Cal raised an eyebrow at that. That sounded... potentially interesting.

"Then please, do your best to explain." Niko raised his eyebrows at them, looking patient. He had lots of experience being patient.

Besides. He couldn't whack them like he could Cal.

"Can we go somewhere where Osanna can sit down, first?" Naomi asked, glancing at her friend. Osanna was practically asleep against the tree, and sleeping standing up like that couldn't be good for anyone.

Niko nodded after a moment. "Follow us, then." He waited for them for a moment before he started walking away from the boggles' nest and towards a more public part of the park. They could sit at a bench.

Osanna managed to get up and started after him, listing just a little.

Naomi tucked herself under Osanna's arm to support her and helped her over to the bench. Once she was sure her friend wasn't going to fall over, she turned back to the other two.

"Okay," she said. "So. Dimension-hopping. We have no idea how, or why, but it's been happening every few days or so."

Cal blinked.

"What?" he asked. That was something he hadn't heard before.

"Dimension-hopping." Niko looked at her, considering. "As in alternate worlds, or different worlds altogether?"

Hey, the Auphe had done something similar. Since technically their world was separate from the Earth the brothers lived on.

Naomi blinked and thought about that for a moment, ticking off the last few 'adventures' on her fingers.

"Both?" she ventured cautiously. "We've seen, what, four versions of the world we know so far, including home, and one that was still Earth but different." After a second, the added, "and I'm well aware of how insane that sounds, trust me."

Cal glanced at his brother, looking for some sort of reaction. Because yeah, that did sound a little insane. Just a little.

Niko's eyebrows raised. "I see." He frowned faintly at them. "Then what world do you come from?"

He was curious, and he wanted to make sure they weren't some weird kind of Auphe or something. Hey, it could happen. They'd seen weirder.

"I have no idea what to call it to differentiate it from the others," Naomi replied. "Hell, I just know it as home." 'Earth' also came to mind, but she had a feeling that it would be equally as unhelpful.

Cal snorted. Yep, that was a LOT of info, there.

Niko resisted the urge to roll his eyes and didn't whack Cal either. Practically saintly restraint, for him.

"I meant a description," he said, his voice mild. He already had half a mind to take them to Ishiah's bar and shove them at the peri. If Ish didn't know what they were, probably not much would. Except maybe Robin. But the puck was a last resort.

Naomi was silent for a moment, thinking about how to phrase her answer. Demons seemed to be something of a delicate topic in a few of the other worlds, so she wanted to see how gently she could ease into it here.

"What does the word 'demon' mean to you here?" she finally asked.

Cal raised an eyebrow. Now things were getting interesting.

Niko raised one shoulder in a half-shrug. "They don't exist, not really. They're often referred to in Christian texts, as living in Hell and tempting people to do stupid things. However, there is no proof that they exist, and no one has ever seen one."

Besides which, Robin had laughed himself silly at the idea of actual demons. Niko remembered.

"That's one definition," Naomi agreed. "Mine is slightly different, since, you know, I rather like existing and all." Okay, so that was a bit of a jab at the 'they don't exist' thing, but still. "Human-like but not human comes to mind as a fairly accurate description of demons, where we're from."

Niko's eyes narrowed. He actually did notice the jab, and since he was the smarter of the two he figured it out.

"So where you're from, you are considered demons?" he questioned. "Explain."

"Well, not completely," Naomi admitted. "I'm half, Osanna's less than that. But where we're from, the word 'demon' just covers everyone that is sentient but not human."

Cal tensed a bit. That hit a little close to home, not that he was going to admit that aloud. At least, not now.

Niko nodded his understanding, not even looking at Cal. He already knew how his little brother felt about that. Not that Niko blamed him.

"I see," he murmured. He paused, considering for several moments. Hmm. What to do, what to do...

"We're going to go see a friend." Unfortunately, it seemed they would require the puck's experitse.

"And where would this 'friend' be?" Naomi asked warily. Hey, she had good reason to be wary about going anywhere, after what happened in the last world. "Last time we went anywhere, we ended up in some side-dimension that was too damn cold for anyone's comfort and apparently housed plants that had a habit of eating people."

Cal was torn between groaning and snickering. He didn't necessarily LIKE going to visit the puck, but hey, it would give him a chance to poke fun at him about Salome and reaffirm his 'friendship' with Spartacus. And what better way to annoy Robin than that?

"Not far from here," Niko said evenly. "A half a mile, perhaps a little more." He stood, looking down at the two. "This will not take long."

Osanna heaved a sigh and got up. She was feeling a little better, since they were surrounded by plants, but she knew walking around the city would be harder. This was going to be a fun day.
