I was thinking about it. It would be fun to go see everyone again, and you know it. Osanna grinned. Besides, we have to get him back where he belongs before he decides that it would be fun to start blowing things up. Or something.

Hiei blinked when Osanna made a big waving motion at him. "What?" he demanded.

Naomi couldn't quite smother a snort.

"No, no," she said to Osanna, still snickering. "There's still too much snow on the ground for that. Too much damp when it melts." But Osanna was still right about one thing. It was probably a good idea to get Hiei home. Besides, it would give Naomi a chance to make friends with Yukina again while Osa snuggled up to Kurama.

Osanna grinned. We could even take him home briefly, she teased with a big grin. She really couldn't help it.

Okay, maybe she could, but it was more fun not to.

"Shut up," Naomi promptly replied. Not that they wouldn't be popping back through Osanna's garden at home anyways; it was in the way of the trip back to Genkai's temple.

Osanna grinned, only a little bit evilly, before she motioned for Naomi to figure out what they were doing, if they were going back home and then to Genkai's or if they were going to hang out for a little while.

Naomi nodded and cracked open the book, letting it rest across her forearm as she turned to the middle pages.

"Alright, let's see if you'll behave any better or if I have to drag you through the snow again..." she muttered to it.

I always behave. I just don't always behave well.

Osanna glared at the book for that. She still hated the damn thing.

"You should start," Naomi retorted. "Anyways--" She paused, and then made a shooing motion towards Harry, telling him to step back a bit. No sense in him being dragged along with them. Once he had, she continued, "--take us forward three worlds, to the temple."

The book obeyed. To a point. It took them to the correct world, but it dumped them right in the middle of the temple from a few feet in the air.

Osanna landed with an oof, someone half on top of her, and she started flailing as soon as she had enough air to do so.

Naomi fell out of the air with a breathless squeak, landing on one of the other two. Osa, she decided when the person under her started flailing before she could get up. Definitely Osa. She scrambled to her feet and helped her friend up.

Osanna took her help and got to her feet. Hiei was already up and with a bit of space between him and the others.

"What the hell?" Yusuke demanded. "You people need to stop dropping in!"

"It was the book," Naomi protested even as she took her coat off. It was FAR too warm to be wearing it, now, since they seemed to have jumped from winter straight into summer. Interestingly, the snow on it didn't melt until she shed the garment.

"More importantly, why are you tracking snow in my temple?" Genkai demanded, scowling at the three of them. Hiei's snow had already melted, of course, and Osanna froze in the middle of shaking herself to get rid of the last of the snow, looking at Genkai guiltily.

"...It was winter where we last were?" Naomi offered after a moment. She had a bit of a 'deer-in-the-headlights' expression on her face as well, even as her coat dripped on the floor. The snow on her boots stuck, though.

"Clean it up." Genkai fixed her look on Naomi, allowing Osanna to slink away outside to shed herself of the rest of the snow.

And she would be lying if she said she wasn't hoping to catch a glimpse of Kurama somewhere.

"But it's not mine!" Naomi protested. "Besides, it'll dry up soon enough, it's got to be over eighty degrees here right now." And really, it wasn't as if she could have known that the snow would stick; it never had before.

"Too bad. You're currently the only snow person here. Clean it up. I don't want it sitting on the floor for some dimwit to slip on." Genkai looked at her, just daring her to keep protesting.

"But--!" Naomi sighed. "Fine." Going over to the door, she knocked the remaining snow off of her shoes onto the ground and then took them off. Stripping off her socks as well, she rolled up her pants until they were to her knees, and set her coat on top of her shoes. Thankfully, she was already wearing a short-sleeve shirt under her coat. Then she went back over to take care of the puddles on the floor.

It was a bit trickier than she thought, because she had to turn the water back into snow rather than into straight ice, but she managed to do so and got it back outside before it melted again.

Genkai nodded her approval and went to go make tea. Let them all figure out what they wanted to do.

Hiei snorted as he watched her before he moved outside. He always preferred to be outside, anyway.

Once she was done with her impromptu cleaning detail, Naomi went outside. She was still barefoot, but it was so hot out that she didn't care. She could keep to the stone paths easily enough and not step on anything that might try to exact immediate and painful revenge.

It didn't take her long to realize that it was far too hot to be wandering about the grounds, and she settled in the shade of a particularly large tree.

Hiei was already lounging in the tree, although he hadn't shed any of his clothes. The heat didn't bother him the same way. He did peer down at her though with a vague idea.

He bet Yukina would like a visitor.

Naomi was leaning back against the tree, holding her hair off of her neck with one hand. That was how she managed to catch a glimpse of him up in the tree, and she grinned just a bit.

"I don't see why it has to be so ridiculously hot here," she commented. "It was properly cold were we were before, and almost comfortable at home."

Hiei snorted. "It's summer. It's always hot in the summer here." Not as hot as Makai, granted, but still. She didn't need to know that. And he wasn't going to be the one to tell her.

"Besides, there are places here that are always cold."

"Not like you even notice how hot it is here," Naomi accused, more to be contrary than anything. Too much heat tended to put her into a bad mood. "You're too much fire."

She did, however, perk up a little when he mentioned cold places.

Hiei snorted and jumped down next to her. "Interested?" he asked sarcastically. He could tell she was, but he couldn't help the ribbing. It was just too easy.

Besides, it was sort of like flirting. Again.
