"Only a little," Naomi replied, a slight grin on her face. She could tell he was teasing; he hadn't said anything genuinely mean to her in a long time. "Then again, it would make sense you know of such places, all things considered." Because of course, he had to know how to find Yukina if he needed to.

Hiei snorted again. "Come on then." He started walking.

It didn't take too long to get to the Floating Island, and once they did, Hiei stepped back to let Naomi go explore. He figured she'd want to, and he could warn her if she was getting too close to anything bad, or anything. Plus Yukina wasn't far away.

"Wait," Naomi said as she hurried to at least get her shoes back on. She liked the snow. Frostbite was another matter. Then she followed him.

She was absolutely delighted when they got there. The snow was sparkling and pristine, and just the right consistency for being worked with. Her hair got a little bluer as she flopped backwards into the snow happily.

"It's perfect," she said. She sat up to ask how he knew about the place, and paused. She wasn't sure if she was just seeing things or not, but she would have sworn that he looked... relaxed. Moreso even than when they were at the temple. It was a kind of relaxed that only occurred when someone went home.

Hiei was quiet, hanging out a little ways back and up in the trees. He knew that Yukina would know who brought Naomi here, but he didn't want to infringe. It was more Yukina's place than his, but he was relaxed here.

Yukina looked up when she felt the two close by and smiled. She'd rather been hoping that Naomi would get to come visit in the summer. The winter wasn't always... hospitable.

Naomi glanced in the direction where she felt the familiar energy signature that she knew was Yukina, and then back up at the tree Hiei was in.

"I still think you should say something," she said. "She's not stupid, she'll figure it out sooner rather than later. Especially considering you know where this place is and how to get here." She looked back in Yukina's direction again. "And now I'm going to go say hi."

Hiei snorted and watched her go, keeping a little distance between them.

"Hello, Naomi," Yukina said with a little smile. "I'm glad to see you."

Naomi grinned when she saw her friend.

"Hi," she replied. She sighed happily and stretched a bit, not even caring that she still had some snow clinging to her. "I feel like I completely understand why you come back in the summer."

Yukina smiled. "Yes, the weather here during the smile is much nicer. Although it is harsher here in the winter than it is at Genkai's temple. I enjoy spending the winters with her."

"Meaning you do things like move snow around where it needs to be moved and other such things," Naomi teased. "I do it for my mother every winter back home, though winters have been really mild there lately."

Yukina nodded. "Yes," she agreed. "It is nice, though. I don't mind doing things like that." And she didn't. It gave her something to do, after all. And it made her feel better.

"I know how that is," Naomi agreed. She looked around for a moment. "I noticed this place is really isolated. It would be really easy to miss if you didn't already know where it was. I never would have thought to look for a floating island."

Yukina just smiled a little. "Yes, it's rather isolated up here." She shifted her smile to Naomi. "It's a good thing Hiei knows where this place is already. I wouldn't know how to tell someone how to get here."

"And you live here," Naomi added. She briefly contemplated what she was about to say, and then went on ahead with it. She wasn't saying anything outright, after all. "I almost wanted to ask how he knew about this place, since I wouldn't think he'd have any sort of interest, but I wasn't paying attention to how we got here, so I would never be able to find my way back by myself."

Yukina blinked, pondering that a little more, before she just smiled. She'd have to think about that more later on. It was an interesting point that Naomi had raised, but she didn't want to ponder it right then.

"Alright. Would you like to see more?"

Naomi nodded.

"I'd love to," she said.

Meanwhile, Kurama had arrived back at the temple, and it hadn't taken him long at all to figure out why the plants around the temple were so pleased. It only took him a moment more to go and look for Osanna.

Osanna was sprawled in the sunshine in the middle of a bunch of plants, just soaking up sunlight with them. It was very relaxing. Not quite her batch of plants at home, but she loved these plants, too.

Kurama wasn't surprised to find her like that.

"Welcome back," he said as he got a bit closer, carefully stepping around some new growth. He would have to see about fixing some of it later; it wasn't good for the plants to put out so much new growth so quickly.

Osanna raised her head and grinned at him. It's not quite my garden at home, but I like it. And now that there was the possibility of jumping around with other people, and now that Naomi had a fairly good idea what she was doing, she briefly toyed with the idea of showing him her garden one day.

"Nothing is quite like one's own garden," Kurama agreed as he moved a few plants over and sat down. While he didn't understand all of her hand gestures yet, he'd been studying, and got the general gist of what she was saying.

Osanna nodded. She briefly wondered about his garden, and then dismissed the idea. Not her place to ask.

I see you've been well, is what she went with instead.

"A little busy," Kurama admitted, "but well enough. And you?" The sign-language studying seemed to be paying off; he pretty much understood what she was saying without needing a translator around. Speaking of translators... It was unusual to see Osanna without her friend around, and Kurama couldn't sense the hanyou around anywhere.

Experimenting. We found out what was throwing us all over the place, and Naomi figured out how it works so we can travel where we like, when we like. Osanna grinned briefly. Makes life a little easier.

"Indeed," Kurama murmured, interested. Freedom of movement across the worlds could be a very valuable thing to have. "Where is she, by the way? Still experimenting?" Not that it really mattered to much to him, but it was still a good thing to know.

Osanna shook her head. Spiky took her off somewhere on a miniature adventure. Something about visiting Yukina? Osanna wasn't entirely sure. She knew that Naomi was okay, though.

"I suppose it would be a little warm around here for her," Kurama replied, chuckling a bit. "Don't let him catching you calling him that, though. Hiei has a rather short temper most of the time." Although it was interesting that Hiei would willingly take someone, no matter who it was, to see Yukina. The fire demon was fiercely protective of the koorime.
