Ed grinned, clearly pleased with himself. "Here! Try this one." He quickly set up another, this time to make something similar to a daisy chain. Osanna did that one too without a problem, looking a little shell shocked.

Naomi was in awe, as well, and more than a little jealous. She was so used to having more power than Osanna and being able to do more that this sudden role-reversal was a bit uncomfortable.

Osanna was clearly uncomfortable with suddenly being able to do something Naomi couldn't. She looked like she had no idea what to do. And Ed looked like he was having a field day.

Al stepped in at that point.

"I think that's enough experimenting for today, brother," he said. He could see how unsettled both girls looked. "Besides, you don't want to undo all of Winry's work so soon."

Ed grumbled a little but nodded. "Alright. If you two are staying we could go ask Pinako if she has a room for you." He raised an eyebrow at the two.

Osanna glanced at Naomi. Really, this was Naomi's trip, not hers.

"Only if it's not too much trouble," Naomi said after a moment.

"Nah, I'm sure they'd be happy to have more people around the house. Come on, let's go ask." Ed offered her a hand up.

Naomi accepted the hand up and went with them inside.

"You haven't broken it already, have you, Ed?" Pinako asked as she heard them coming closer to her workroom. "That would be a new record for you."

"No, not this time. We were wondering if these two can bunk here for the night." Ed looked at Pinako. He was pretty sure she had an extra room around somewhere... Although they might have to clear some things out of it first, knowing Winry's tendancy to gather anything mechanical.

"I don't mind," Pinako replied, taking off her goggles and replacing them with her glasses to look at them. "It's always nice to have guests in the house. You should ask Winry if she's using the spare room."

Ed nodded and moved off, hollaring for Winry. Osanna nodded her thanks to Pinako and then moved out of the room when Ed called for them.

"It's a little messy but it's a room," Ed said, leading them to the spare room. "We'll clean it up some before tonight, don't worry about that."

"I'm sure it's fine," Naomi replied. Really, she was just glad they were letting her and Osanna stay.

Ed cleared some junk off a bed, piling it off to the side. "They're not used to visitors besides us," he said with a shrug. "Feel free to kick stuff aside as needed."

Osanna blinked. This was probably one of the messiest rooms she'd seen. But oh well. It was clean enough to sleep in.

Naomi nodded, but was still reluctant to touch anything. She had no idea what any of it did, and didn't want to break any of it when she couldn't possibly even begin to fix it.

"So. It's still early. What you two going to do for the rest of the day?" Ed looked at them.

Osanna shrugged. She was fine with just hanging out and playing with the dog for the rest of the day.

"Doesn't matter to us," Naomi replied for the both of them. "Osa's probably just fine playing with the dog and the tree, and I just came here to get away from home for a while, so I don't care what we do."

Ed shrugged. "Alright. Well, yell if you need anything, then." He left quietly to give them some time.

Osanna looked over at Naomi. You okay?

"Just..." Naomi sighed. "Yeah. Everything's fine." Because she just didn't have words at the moment to describe the cocktail of emotions she was trying to sort through at the moment. Between the lingering upset from the visit to her father and the strange new feelings that were emerging now thanks to Ed pointing them out and the sudden rage-like jealousy of Osanna's new talent... No, there were no good words for that.

Osanna nodded after a few moments, knowing when not to push. Instead she started looking around to give herself something to do.

"Go on out and talk to the tree for a while," Naomi suggested. "Maybe it can point you at some new plants you didn't get last time."

Osanna nodded. Yell if you need me. She hesitated for a moment before she slipped outside, figuring that Naomi might just want some time to herself.

"I will," Naomi promised. She watched Osanna head back outside, and then leaned back against the wall for a bit. The solitude wasn't as comforting as she wanted it to be.

Osanna went to go play with her plants for a while, and then with the dog. Hey, she didn't mind. And she was hoping that Naomi would be in a better mood by the time she got back inside, because otherwise she might just have to find another place to sleep.

Naomi's mood didn't improve much by the time bedtime rolled around. So, rather than disturbing Osanna, Naomi ended up going outside for a while. She was too wound up to sleep, anyways, so she climbed up to the roof and settled there for a bit.

Ed ended up not wanting to sleep either. But instead of going up to the roof, he just went outside and sprawled out in the grass, his arms under his head as he looked up at the sky.
