Sora had a pretty good dream. He was out on the beach with Riku and Kairi, like they did when they were kids. A part of him wished that they could go back to that time. But he knew that he couldn't.
Sora didn't wake up when Riku was shaking him. What woke him up was the smell of food. Stretching, his eyes opened and he sat up and looked at Riku. "Good morning, Riku! What's for breakfast?" he asked, smiling slightly at him.

Riku didn't answer for a second instead he took a seat on the edge of the bed his eyes fixed on his hands. "Sora there's something I think you should know" he started fidgeting a little. "The reason I took you was not because of some threat.... I took you because well I like you.... no I more then like you Sora I love you I have for a long time now. It feels good to finally say it" Sora had stayed silent throughout Riku's short declaration not meeting his eye Riku suddenly stood and walked to the door. "I'll just uh leave you to your breakfast... you can leave now you know if you want" Riku told him before he virtually fled the room.

Sora was silent the entire time Riku was speaking. He was in love with him?! That had to be a lie?! Right?! Though if it was true, he didn't really understand why the other had to bring him here. He could have told him anywhere.
As he thought about this, he ate his breakfast slowly. Then he put on the same clothes as yesterday, still not being able to find his. Then he left. There was no way he was going to stay here if he had the option to leave. It was to boring there for him.

Riku heard the front door closed and he went to the room cleaning up the breakfast mess, his heart felt crushed he knew Sora would reject him but he hadn't thought it would feel this bad. Of course Sora wouldn't stay why would he his best friend had just told him he was in love with him and now he had totally freaked Sora out. "Stupid" Riku mumbled to himself rubbing his aching head. Taking the tray to the kitchen he washed it and then went back to bed, he felt horrible all he wanted to do right now was go back to sleep and imagine this never happened

Sora headed home to change. When his mom asked why he was back already, he didn't answer. He just went to his room, changed, then left. So she figured that he and Riku got into a fight or something.
Sora headed out to the beach. It was the best place to be, after all. Upon arriving, he sat back in the sand and relaxed. The warm sand and the sun made relaxing extremely easy for him.

Riku went to his room, unable to lift his head he just gazed down at his bare feet until he reached his bed. Stripping down to his boxers he climbed into bed actually hugging one of the shirts Sora had left behind it smelled like him. "He'll probably avoid me now, won't want to be my friend anymore now that he knows I love him" he mumbled to himself drawing the covers over his head. Rejection hurt man did it hurt how could he ever face Sora again, closing his eyes Riku tried to fall into oblivion. Eventually he fell into a troubled sleep

Sora was just about to fall asleep when a shadow fell over him. His eyes opened and he saw Kairi standing over him, smiling down at him. He grinned back and sat up. She sat down next to him and they started chatting. But once the conversation turned to Riku, the brunette stopped talking. He didn't want to talk about him. It was just a bit awkward for him to even think about him right now. And eventually, Kairi stopped trying to get him to talk about him. About an hour later, she said goodbye and left him there alone.

Kairi was concerned Sora's refusal to talk about Riku made her think that the boys had gotten into a fight or something, so after leaving Sora on the beach she went to Riku's hidey hole. Sora didn't know about Riku's small place on his own but she did, and she also knew Riku loved Sora. When pounding on the door produced no results she went around to the back and knocked on his window instead, finally rewarded when she was greeted by a sleepy bare chested Riku at the window.
"Let me in Riku what's wrong with you and Sora?" she asked stubbornly refusing to leave
After letting her in, he really had no choice, Riku sat her down and explained everything excluding nothing not even the few kisses he had stole, or the confession.

Sora watched Kairi walk off before getting up himself. His stomach was telling him it was time to get something to eat. So, after running home and making some lunch for himself, he headed back to the beach. As much as he would have loved to go swimming, he couldn't. Not since he just ate. So, with a sigh, he laid back in the sand, his arms crossed behind his head.
The sun was warm on his face and made him feel drowsy. He couldnt' stop his eyes from sliding closed and it didn't take much longer for him to fall asleep.
