I am sick and tired of hearing about the royal wedding. What's the big deal? And is everyone acting like they are invited? Unless your a head of state, celebrity, or royalty you are not getting in. You're just a mere peasant. Is their anyone else who could care less about the royal wedding besides me?

I can tell you why it's a big deal.
Prince William is going to be King of England eventually.
Which means Kate Middleton is going to end up being Queen.
There hasn't been a Royal wedding this important since Charles and Diana, which was about 30 years ago.
Yes, not everyone is invited, but it's being Televised. If it's anything like previous Royal weddings, thousands of brits are going to line the streets to see them.
No one knows what Her dress looks like, no one knows what the Cake looks like...
Brits don't often get together and Celebrate just being British like Americans do on 4th July, and from the programmes I've seen on the telly about royal weddings in the past, it brings people together because it's our Royal family.
It's an excuse for us all to have fun when everyone's so bummed out over the Economy...
I, personally, am not all that excited about it, but I am interested in some aspects of it.
It's on Friday, so you'll just have to put up with about a week more of it, then no doubt it'll all blow over.

It doesn't matter
They're an important part of British History and Society
and The current Queen does actually hold some political power

I also do not get what the big fucking deal is.
I could see BRITISH people freaking out about it a little, because it is kind of a big deal for their prince to be marrying..
But I'm American. And it is CONSTANTLY on my TV when in its' place could be better, more interesting, more important news and/or current events. I say, get your tea and get the fuck out of my television, Britain. I've had enough.

We don't control what's on your telly. I don't see why America was making a big deal out of it when it really doesn't have anything to do with them.

I'm sorry but no
Don't take it out in an ENTIRE county because of what YOUR country decides to report on
its OUR royal family
we have a right to be excited
We're not pushing our Royals in your telly hole
Go bitch at your news station, not the Brits
Alternatively
don't watch it
no one's forcing you

Well
How do you know that Britain isn't so excited that they're just pushing our idiot capitalist moneywhores to do it with dollars?
Seems logical enough.

Because I know for a fact
that some Americans love our Royal Family
Some of you lot out there are actually interested in what's going on here
it is actually a big thing. just like your presidential campaign hogged our tellies for months.
Deal with it

Only because you don't have a royal family
You have no idea how important the Royal family can be
It's just like any other Celebrity thing.
The Royal family is there
They're not going anywhere
Don't watch the telly when they're on it if you hate it that much
Can you last one more week?
'cos it will die down on your side of the Atlantic a hell of a lot faster than it dies down here

Nobody over here gave a shit about your presidential election but we had to endure that so suck it up like we did.
What they do and don't do isn't relevant they're the royal family they represent us and she's going to be part of that. That's why it's important to us.

It's essentially the same thing, your president doesn't affect us but we had to listen to all your crap about it. Our royal family has no affect on you and your television companies have decided to show you all about it, same as what ours did with the president.

The only reason there is so much coverage is because it's supposed to a happy event in this time of doom and gloom. It's supposed to raise everyone's hopes in this time of economic down turn but really it makes us all sick with how much tax payers money they're wasting.
Even we over here are sick of the coverage on it, we can't even go to the supermarket without it being shoved down our necks.
As one particular advert has pretty much said what practically all of us are thinking Thanks Wills and Kate for another day off work.

I don't care much for it either. I just try to ignore the news during this week. I'll watch the local news and ignore the Royal part of it.
Not that I am saying it isn't important, but after a while it is over played. Same with American politics to some extent.
The President of the United States isn't more important than the Queen (or Future King) of England. The president doesn't have as much power as we think he has.
Anyways... If you don't want to hear about it, just watch other stations. :D!
Edit: I hope I didn't sound rude. :-/
