True. I did meet someone last semester, to realize that we have mutual friends in Finland, England and Canada - and we had met previously and had met those three mutual friends in the most exact and precise way possible. That was pretty crazy. :P

It'd be a matter of getting back into town (lol) - because after I am out of Rocklin, I'll not be back much - I will probably be back for a few things on campus next semester, but other than that I'll be at home without a car - I don't drive. xD

I don't drive, either, so I feel your pain.

Oh, I've never driven - and I have tried - I have a phobia of driving, every time I try to drive, I freak out.

I simply suck at driving.

I don't have my license. I prefer taking public transportation.

That works as long as you live in an area with public transportation.

I do. I mainly get around by my parents driving me.

Chickens are adorable when they're grown-up too, I love my Fowl Wing, even if he's been dead for over ten years.

Is that a chicken you had when you were younger?

Yeah. My pet rooster that I 'saved' from a chicken farm. My dad was buying hens for an experiment of his at his lab (nothing that hurts them, he and his students feed them some special food with lactobacillus in them to see if it would reduce the amount of germs on the eggs they laid), and while we were at the farm, I saw this huge truck piled high with dead and dying and bloody chicks. I asked about it and the guy who was showing us around the farm told me they were all males, which were 'useless', so they were tossed onto the truck to be taken to a machine which grinds them up and turns them all into chicken feed later. I asked if I could have a few, and he gave me three. Two of them died about a week later, and the surviving one I named Fowl Wing. He's a beautiful white rooster who annoys the heck out of my dad by crowing randomly all day. I would take him out for walks and all.

I had a pet chicken and a rooster growing up too, I won the pair at a church carnival game..but when they got older my uncle ate them. My mom told me they ran away when I was little but then she told me the truth about a year ago.

I would be so angry if someone in the family ate my chicken(s). I was upset enough that I didn't know about Fowl Wing's death until it was nearly half a year later when I asked about him. (dad moved him up to another lab when I went to junior high since I couldn't visit him as much as before at my dad's office and the crowing was getting on his nerves)



@Momo: Nah, Fowl Wing doesn't run off or anything, so I just let him peck around the grass/pavement inside the school. I don't think there are chicken harnesses out there either.

...Talking about him makes me want another pet chicken.
