I'm mostly self-taught, but I mega appreciate what I've learned in my classes. XD Plus, taking them forces me to draw more anyway. :c
The big thing I learned last semester was to draw using straight lines at first since curves are deceiving to the human eye/brain.

@Lea: Ooh yeah. That was the first thing we learned. XDD That usually a bit of the torso and legs get short changed because we focus more on the face and such. :s But that's for like... drawing from life or pictures. Though I guess it could work for drawing from scratch pretty much.
