Empty cups make me sad, and I don't want to have to pay for more chai. =[ As I'm not at my room and can't make my own (I'm off studying at a coffee shop about a five minute walk from my school. I needed to get out of my room.

I was price checking for my solo holiday trips this spring/summer.

Edinburgh's long weekend is looking at about £140 so thats pretty darn good ^^

Londons gonna be around that too, but Plymouth/Devon is proving to be more expensive...by like an extra £100 at least D=

Well, I did get one of my assignments done - which wasn't that hard (why was I putting it off... Lol!).
This is my second one that I need to get done for Tuesday.

What's the budget that you're working on for your trip?

Oh, I should start looking into planning my next trip... not sure where I want to go this time. Lol.
I do want to plan a trip over to the UK eventually... not sure if I can handle another long flight over seas for quite awhile though. -chuckles-

Plus I'll be busy working this summer, working with the boys (nannying again). :) Yay for moneys! :D Let's see how much I can save up this time! :D And not spend on random things! :lol:

Aaah the dates a definite for my Edinburgh trip now! Wed 18th April - Sat or Sunday

So the train plus 3 or 4 nights at the hostel will come to about £80 at the most. The rest is food and drink money, but now i've just found a concert on the 18th i'd love to go to thats £25. So i guess a smart budget would be £200, i can't afford loads cause i have no job...yet. But i'd like to do some other things while im there like visit the zoo or the castle or some other touristy things :P

Def doing it alone though. The whole point of me doing it is to meet other travellers or just make some friends in general ^^


At least you got one done! I wish i could nanny easily for money here haha. We can't get the CRB check without a related job/course (to make sure you're not a sex offender)

Yeah. I've cleaned my room and had a shower. So all that's left to do is revise for my nab. C: I won't be making it until about eight or so, just so I can have it and then scoot off to college. Shame there's no sausages. D;

And i suppose thats alright. I'll probably not be going bed till about 5 myself. Haven't even read my 100 pages yet cause i've been on trainline or megabus finding cheap travel deals xD

Be sure to take lots of pictures! :D I know the feeling! I went on my Australia trip on limited funds (the 1000$ plane ticket, and then I had about a 700$ budget while I was there -- and I came home with about 120$.)

Oh, I didn't mind taking the trip on my own (just the 17 hour plane light from LA to Melbourne kinda drove me insane doing it alone - the trip itself once I got there was fine). I did meet some great people on the planes though (there was a pretty blah person next to me from San Fransisco to LA but from LA to Melbourne, then from Melbourne to Sydney, and then from Sydney to LA and then kinda from LA to San Fransisco there were some pretty nice people. Despite I was half asleep for that last flight).

Although I do have to say, about 4 hours left in the flight, was starting to really freak out considering I was traveling by myself to another country to meet someone I'd not met in person, just met online and all that. I knew her, but I had no idea what she sounded like. Haha! But once I managed to get through customs and all that fun stuff, and finally saw her, I felt totally fine. ^_^ Just that time building up to it, was nerve wracking. But was a definite confidence builder, because I now know I can travel on my own, and survive. :lol:

Yeah, I'm so dragging my sister with me when we go to the UK. Or back to Australia. :lol: Oh, but at least they're careful. It's not a total official job... I mean it is. But it's for a family friend who needs the kids out of the house during the work week. So they come to my parents where I am, that she pays me for. :rofl:

I'm trying to convince myself to get my work done.. I'm getting so distracted... although it seems that no matter where I am, I am going to get distracted. :XD And the fact that I'm starting to get hungry... I need to figure out what I want to get to eat. I'm thinking about getting take away Japanese food, either that or getting a sandwich from Subway. Both of which are both up close to where I am. Subway is next door to the coffee shop I'm sitting in and the Japanese place is on the other side of the parking lot from where I am currently. And I can't seem to stop typing... :XD Darned chatty fingers!

And yeah i'd be just as nervous travelling all that way on my own! But around the uk im fine with it, its more exciting to me not knowing who or if im gonna meet anybody there. So thats why im going to be staying in hostels, so i can chat to other people easily :D

Also with the pictures, i need to get a camera before i go! The one i want is £150 and its a proper professional one, so i need to start saving if im going in april seen as i only earn about £300 a month xD
