figured...
Hopefully she's still not like that.

Nightmare: hey dan! What did you feed your piggy before he passed?
did you give it any treats that you thought he could eat or something like that?
My mom said that sometimes people give piggies or other rodents treats that aren't good for them unknowingly, and their body reacts funny to them and they...well, pass on or get really sick.

Maybe you can find another one in another petshop? or go back later?

That's odd...
-le gasp- what if it's some conspiracy to make you do the dishes and not get someone else to do them?!
The ones in other pet shops were all more expensive. Like, almost-or-actually-double-the price more expensive. :stare:
Maybe the next time I need to buy more guinea pig food.

Haha, I have no idea. :XD I've got another new cut on my left thumb (wtf is with getting all these wounds on the same finger?! :gonk:) yesterday from washing the dishes. One of the glass containers must've had a little chink on it that cut my thumb while I was washing it. Ouch.

I don't give them any treats other than fresh vegetables...and that wouldn't explain why one of them died and the other was fine. :(

They tend to nibble on the cage in impatience when I'm getting their food though, so it could be from the paint they nibbled off. Or maybe the newspaper I have inside the cave, of which the ink on it is probably hazardous to their health...but again, it doesn't explain why one of them died while the other is still its usual squeaky self. :(

Hmm...I wonder if maybe he wasn't to healthy to beguine with? I'm not sure.
Maybe he had some sort of disease that piggies get or something. Who knows.
As long as little Squeaky is okay and not getting what Munchkins got, I think it's okay.

Though, if you're not using thos seader chips they sell for piggies, you should use them instead of newpaper. Just line the bottom with it and put the seader chips ontop. It might keep the wittle thing from getting sick if the newpaper was teh cause.

xDDD damn ted! Your finger gets hurt a lot, doesn't it?
Protect yo fingers!
Speaking of finger wounds, I tend to chew on the skin on my fingers sometimes, and I get hangnails that hurt like hell. Or, i bite my nails until I get it to the point where it hurts to much. ;;

It was the more energetic of the two, and my parents picked that one because it was more lively and being more lively is supposed to mean more healthy or something. >_>;;
And the one left is actually named Nibbler, not Squeaky. xD Munchkins was the more squeaky one out of the two as well. :P

I use the newspaper only for padding the inside of a milk carton I have in the cage for it to hide in, since it would help keep the container a bit more cleaner than it would've been had I not used padding...though maybe I could try not using it. I just don't want to have to wash out all its feces and stuff. >_>;;;

Yeaaah. Dx It doesn't happen often, but for some reason lately I keep getting cuts on my hands. x __x;
I used to bite my nails, but I managed to quit quite successfully in one go when I noticed one day in the mirror that the edge of the tooth that I gnaw my nails on was a bit...less than the other teeth. I freaked and never once bit my fingernails again after that. XD; I tend to gnaw on the sides of my fingers though. Like, I'd bite on the joints of my fingers. Once I bit on them so much that the skin started getting flaky and peeling off. o __o;

(Okay, I just remembered that my spell check on this computer doesn't work. SO, I am SOOOOO sorry for any spelling mistakes. My red squiggly line friend isn't wanting to help me correct my mistakes. ;w; )

I've probably done som damage to my teeth, and to add to that, I'm not the best with taking care of my teeth...I DO brush my teeth at least once a day, though.

If you use the seader chips for piggies, you just have to dump the chips out once a week or so and maybe rince out the cage if it's really bad.

:lol: Sorry.
Yeah, I think it's supposed ot be that way. Like I said, who knows. Lets just pray that little Nibbler lives a full piggy life (I read they can live for five to eight years! :'D) .
Ohh...I remember how my piggy used to squeal with joy when he heard plastic bags rustling. I really miss the little guy.
I wish we didn't have so many cats...I'd totally get my mom to get me a ne wpiggy. ;w;

lol I don't mind. :XD As far as I know, Firefox's spell check works best for me, I'm not sure if Chrome has it or not...

I brush my teeth once a day too, usually before I head off to bed at night. Though sometimes when I feel up to it or have the opportunity to, I brush it during the day too, like, in the afternoon after a snack or something.

I don't use those chips though, too much trouble and messy. Not to mention the roaches they'd attract...:( I have one of those bird cage-like cages for it, so I just have to put newspaper at the very bottom, and all the pig's waste would just drop down there. Then all I have to do is roll up the newspaper and throw it away, and replace it with new newspaper. :)

Yeah, I sure hope Nibbler'll live that long! :) But maybe not to the full eight years. A friend of mine told me of a friend (or was it a relative?) who had a guinea pig that lived over nine years. :shock: But by that time all its teeth had fallen out and it was blind, so she had to feed it with a dropper and stuff. Not a very good life for the pig to be like that, so yeah. :(
Cats are cute too! I'd love to own a cat, but sadly my parents are quite adamant to not get one, as they say the cat'll jump everywhere, get fur everywhere, and knock over stuff. :XD;; (our house is very cluttered)

I'm using firefox and i have spellcheck on, but it just doesn't seem like it's working for me...
I still feel a little bad when I misspell every other word. I know my spelling and grammar is terrible, but I try to make it so people understand me.

I try to remember to brush my teeth before I go tout, if I haven't already brushed them in the morning/afternoon.

True...The newspaper meathod is a actually pretty good, though. Seems pretty easy. :'D

ohh. >.o I would put it down if it was having that many problems. Sometimes it's best to let them go when they're doing that badly...
Oh, I love them too, but they are DEMONS! EVIL, EVIIIL DEMONS! Mine have destroyed my house and since we can't affored to get them fix atm, some of the females can get pregnant. SO we have to keep them inside, but we've recently had a security breach. Our outside cats have managed to find a way inside of the vents from under the house and can come through there. SO we have to put weights down on them and/or cover them with cardboard. OTL So a few of the girls that are in heat have gotten out. We have them back in, but we think one of them may be pregnant...:headdesk: We really need to find homes for most of them. We'd take them to the humane society or the pound, but they are always full, and the Humanes society tells us we're supposed to get them checked out and make sure all their shots are up to date. That's just fucking bullshit. I know every other humane socity doesn't have that shitty rule. A lot of people take them there because they can't affored to take care of their animals, let alone get them a bunch of shots that could cost them a lot of money. It just seems like it's never going to end with problems and with the cat population...

Huh, that's weird. :| *pokes Momo's Firefox*
Same here. My grammar sucks, but unfortunately Firefox only has spellcheck and no grammarcheck. :sweat:

Oh right, and I sometimes brush in the morning too, to avoid morning breath. Especially if I have a dentist's appointment. :XD;;

Yeah, convenient, too. :XD Also good because I have ways of getting lots of expired newspapers so I'll never run out! :P

Wow...:XD I'm guessing that's why my mom had Zippie (the cat I used to have back when I lived in the states) neutered back when we got her from the animal shelter. :sweat:

Yeah. Cats multiply fast, especially when you have male and female cats. It's best to either get one that's already fixed, or get them fixed as soon as possible! Doubt you want to have millions of cats running around.

We run out of paper a lot (due to the cats using them), so out neighbors give us their old newspapers and plastic bags. it really helps us keep the house clean.

yeah...it's odd.
I'm on my emac now, so I have spell check now! \o/

dan, is your piggy walking on the wire bottom?? they never walk on the wire bottom, because they can get bumblefoot which can be deadly. in my cage i have towels then fleece. I think Wally had to have been sick or might have gotten scurvy. I haven't been feeding them veggies like i was. :(

this is wally in the cage at the apartment. i sure miss him. :(

Wha...really? o __o What's bumblefoot like? Just about all the pet shops I've been to have them on bottoms that are semi-in the the air and the shopkeeper that sold me my two told me they would be fine like that. D:

Bumblefoot (infection) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

yeah really! that's what they say on the guniea pig forums i'm on. want the link to it? It's called Cavy Cages. Guinea Pig Cages, Your Cavy At Home

----------

i'm sorry to say, that a pet shop keeper will tell you anything to get you buy the animal. :( it's horrible they do that. you have your piggy in a bird cage?

----------

i don't mean to be naggy, just trying to help. i know i lost mine too. just repeating what i've read about cages. i still think mine was sick from not eating enough fresh veggies.

Eep. That's nasty. D:
Good thing I have a milk carton cut in half in there, and Nibbler's usually hiding in it, so at least that's a solid surface for it...

Well, sort of. Here's a picture of the cage I have, taken the day I brought them home and Munchkins was still alive:

Oh I don't mind at all. I'd hate to have Nibbler die on me as well. :( Me and my parents sometimes give it some vegetables to nom on, like spinage or broccoli.
