Glover :ninja: I've lost the cable for my playstation, the one that connects it to the TV, no idea where it's gone, or I'd still be frustrating myself trying not to die on Tomb Raider II xD
Metal Gear Solid 1. Hands down. It's often debated to be one of the best games of all time. To me it is. :3
It has an epic story, epic characters, epic bosses, epic everything.
I played the game for about 6 months before I beat it. I think I was around 10 or 11. When I finished the game, I just sat back in my chair and contemplated life for the first time. Finishing the game had an emotional effect on younger me. Haha. MGS1 is actually on the list of games to play again.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Before that, all I'd played were things like Mortal Kombat, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mario and etc. It was my introduction to story-based gaming, much as the Final Fantasy games were to many other people (as an aside, I can't stand the older ones due to the turn-based fighting.)
My favorites are the original Resident Evil(Bio Hazard),FF7,FF8,Parasite Eve, and Pocket Fighter. @jellysundae you can use one for the PS2 or get a universal one.
@Lavina that game is playable on a PS2.
@ Carzee and omnom - YEY! I was such a girl with games. so crash bandicoot, spyro, and rayman were always in my top 3 xDD
Tempted to get either a ps1 or ps2 so i can play them all again <333
I also remember watching my step dad playing resident evil and having to DARE myself to watch him cause the zombies seriously used to scare the HELLLL outta me D=
I used to enjoy watching my ex play on Resident Evil. He hired in from Blockbuster for x amount of days, but because we got stuck and couldn't figure out what to do next he never bought it. The zombies made me laugh more than anything. I seem to remember you went into some narrow L-shaped picture gallery, and there was one lying on the floor near the doorway, but it didn't do anything. You find whatever doodad you need hiding behind the pictures and head out again, and that's when he tries to bite your leg off  I was kind of expecting this, as why would it have been there otherwise? But it caught my ex by suprise, boy did he shout
I have a very limited selection of games (because I'm tight and I'd only ever buy pre-owned ones :ninja: ) but an all time favourite of mine is Wip3out. That's actually in the Playstation now, patiently waiting for me to get a cable so I can play it xD Also the music track, Sasha-Xpander, is a special favourite of mine from it :D
xD Resident evil is probably one i would try again if i got it. To face my childhood feears! :ninja:
And i think i remember wipeout! Dont remember owning it but im sure ive played. Maybe it was on those demo CD's you used to get, with mini-versions of a few games <3
I can't pick just one so here are my favourites: Tomba, Final Fantasy 8, Final Fantasy 9, Abe's Odyssey, Gran Turismo 3 and Alien Trilogy. Theme Hospital and Theme Park World are guilty pleasures too.
I still have my PSone set-up with my other consoles. Currently playing through Tomba.
RPGs, because the PS1 had a boatload of them.
Final Fantasy IX (So overshadowed by 7 that it's not even funny.)
Chrono Cross (That game makes you think more than almost any other RPG ever. Really.)
Final Fantasy Tactics
Legend of Dragoon
Other than that, Crash Bandicoot... well all except for Crash Bash. Naughty Dog should've kept him. The Spyro series was so awesome at the time, both fun and funny. Oooh, and the racing games! Rollcage Stage 2 was so much fun (although underrated and extremely hard to control at the fastest setting), and the Gran Tourismo series. Twisted Metal was always awesome, and Star Wars Demolition.
Crash Bandicoot! That was the best one. We also had Micro Machines, Small Soldiers, Dancing Stage: Euromix, Dancing Stage: Party Edition, Tomb Raider. More that I can't think of. I also liked Spyro but I'm not sure if we ever owned it.
Crash Bandicoot is my absolute favorite for it, I still play it all the time.
I only own a few games for the PS1 though. FF VII, VIII, IX, Tactics, Tony Hawk, syphon filter, and a few others. I really need to invest in more games for that system.
