hi everyone! im making my bedroom!! i would like to havesome ideas because im not shure of what i want :P well if you take this seriously i will be realy happy to see some plans of room... thanks a lot and LOVE YOU!!!

We just moved into our new house about a year ago, and I'm finally getting to paint my walls 8D I'm an earth girl at heart and I LOVE greens, blues, slate greys, etc., so here's what we're doing for my room, if it gives you any inspiration.

This color green!


One accent wall is going to have a big tree graphic on it in black.

The rest of the walls are going to be... *drumroll* CHALKBOARD paint! Mom got the okay and is planning to order the slate to do it and everything! I can't wait to be able to scribble and draw all over my walls. <3

I love chalkboard paint.
My room is a forest [aka slytherin ;)] green. The accent wall was supposed to be black chalkboard paint...but that fell though.

Green looks great on a bedroom wall. I would also suggest purple if you want something unique.
If you're going with any earth tones, I would also suggest wicker furniture! It meshes so nicely. >3

That's the colour my room is ;D Well, not exactly, mine is more of a licheny colour, but close enough!

XD that's the color my walls were back at my parents place, I adore green. And I'm all kinds of jealous over your chalk walls, that would be so useful.

I have my bedroom an off white colour right now. I started painting a coral reef behind my door but need to finish it still. My room was supposed to be music themed at first but I changed it to being ocean themed. I also plan on painting all of my walls with some kind of underwater theme eventually.

So many people with green rooms. My room is a bright ocean blue with a dark blue carpet and white furniture and doors. I think it's really pretty, because I like blue...lots. I still need to put up my posters again, because at the moment my walls are bare and it makes me sad. ;O;

However, before I could offer any decorating advice I'd need to know the general size of your room, darker colours suck out light and generally make things look smaller, so if you have a cupboard-sized room light colours would probably be better, but in a large room you can go mad with dark colours and still have the size. :3

My room is green too. ): Psh. I wanted to paint it grey but my mother has something against grey-to-black colours. So if I didn't pick any other colour she was going to paint it pink. HOW DARE SHE. Pink, of all colours! So I said green, though it's very clear, it almost looks white. Eh.

I also bought paint a few years ago and drew gigantic flowers on my bedroom wall. I recommend it, it's awesome and gives it a personal touch, you know? I advise painting the room with two complementary colours, it always looks lovely. (:

Ooh, greys are actually great for bedrooms! They're so peaceful c: Could you convince her into a blue-grey? That's one of my favorite shades for bedrooms.

I would love to, but my mother's stubborn as everything. She must think I'm emo, anything black won't fly with her (not even my finger nails ): ).

@Raz: I was going to paint my room a dark purple colour at first and didn't just because my house is so tiny to begin with. XD I think it would make me feel claustrophobic if I did. XD Each unit in the duplex I own is under 1000 square feet and the one I live in is the biggest at 950 Sq ft and it has three bedrooms so you can only imagine how tiny they are. XD

I'm going to stick to a lighter blue for the "water" colour when I get around to painting the actual water on my walls.

I'd like to redo mine this summer, too. I've discovered that it's really difficult to find bedspreads and such if you want to do a more creative or unusual theme, though, even on the Internet... or maybe I've just been looking in the wrong places. >.>

My original idea was to do sort of a purple and silver moon-and-stars type theme, with everything in those colors, but it seems that purple is really difficult to find, which is quite a disappointment since it's my favorite color.

I've also thought about doing a flowered theme and decorating with darker pink roses on the bedspread and curtains and such and painting the walls a light green, but I'm uncertain about that. Now I'm thinking maybe a more nature-ish theme in general, though. I'd definitely like to have more plants and stuff like that either way.

Wow that is tiny! xD My last bedroom was unbelievably small, like I could -just- squeeze in a single bed and a dresser, and that was it. That was painted a really bright, but dark purple and actually felt like I was living in a box. xD Definitely not advisable. Lilac would have been nice though. :3

I think the water theme would look awesome. Will you be adding sea life art as well?

Ooh pretty. :3 Are you doing it in colour, or like a silhouette reef? I wouldn't mind painting a mural on my walls, just to brighten it up a little. But with the posters and pictures and other various do-das that I have, it doesn't seem likely to happen. xDD

Right now, it's just outlined. I plan on painting it in colour though. I just need to get the paint and actually colour it. XD I had the same problem with posters and the like. I stil have them hanging up on the other side of my room where I haven't painted anything yet. I have to move them to my office still. XD

I one day want a white and purple room, with white walls and a huge purple mural painted on the longest wall, with a purple spiral stencil type thing going round the other walls. It's my dream room. <3

Your sea room does sound lovely. Can I be nosy enough to ask if you'd be willing to show pictures of your painting when it's done? :3

Yep, when I get it done I'll post pics! It'll probably be a while though. XD
