"Why would they bother with that? Something different is always good in battle, especially if you can be unpredictable," Ishida said, remembering when he started using his sword arrows. He still remembered the bewildered look on Ichigo's face when he used them for the first time. "Would you be willing to show me what you got?" He was curious what she meant by fighting differently.

"I don't know why really. I would be willing to show you. " Saya said with a small smile. She tensed up a little bit again at the feeling of Shinigami. " I can't always be so tense. Though I seem to be getting use to sensing them. " She thought to herself.

Ishida saw her jump again and resisted an urge to chuckle, knowing that she was trying to fight against her fear. Looking towards where he was sensing the shinigami and wondered how his friends were doing.

Hoshi felt down that Rue had been captured. She hoped her friend wasnt being hurt. She also felt bad that the ones who took her could be under hypnosis. She sat on her bed and thought she sensed something but it didn't seem threatening to her.

" I apologize again for my tension. How many Shingami are there here in Karakura?" Saya asked.

"There's a few that live here. From what I know, my friends Matsuda Hoshi, Arisawa Tatsuki and Kurosaki Ichigo are shinigami, as well as Ichigo and Hoshi's fathers.Urahara Kisuke is an ex-captain and his unofficial girlfriend Yoruichi stays there as well. Other than that, a handful of shinigami come and go," Ishida explained to the best of his ability.

Ichigo paced around the living room after getting back into his body, wondering what to do, especially since he felt somewhat responsible for Rue's kidnapping.

Saya nodded glad to know the information. " When would you like me to show you what I can do?" She asked. She felt Ishida was stronger than she was, but figured he had more opportunity to train than she did.


"We're going to get Rue back Ichigo. If it's anyone's fault, it's mine. I didn't think I would be ambushed in my own home and had my guard down." Tetsu said to Ichigo. He was sitting in a chair trying to think out a plan.

"If you can keep up and follow me, I'll show you where I train," Ishida said giving the girl a small challenge, curious to see what her stamina was like.

Ichigo sighed lightly as he knew that Tetsu was right, but at the same time still felt like some of it was his fault. Ichigo stopped pacing and sat down, thinking of what they could do to get Rue back.

Saya nodded. She got up from the bench ready to follow. She knew she needed the challenge, knowing her stamina needed improvement. " I hope I can keep up. " Saya thought to herself.

" I want to ask my friend for help , but I don't want to put him in danger. I still can't see why Quincy would want a Plus. Maybe that's why I feel who ever has Kyoka Sugetsu is the one who wants Rue. " Tetsu said. He wondered how much Soul Soicety knew about what had happened. If they did know, Tetsu hoped they would listen to reason.

Ishida set a brisk pace, but knew it was one that Saya could keep up with. Soon, both Saya and Ishida were standing in front of a quiet waterfall. Looking behind him, he saw Saya having a little trouble breathing. "Are you okay?" He asked.

"Maybe they want her for something else?" Tatsuki asked, although she wondered if Rue had some sort of special ability like Hoshi did. She didn't want to voice that opinion just yet though, especially since it could anger Katniss.

" Just a little out of breath. " Saya said as she calmed down and looked around" This is where you train?" She said , thinking back to the woods where she trained with her dad.

"Maybe. I have a few ideas why, but I don't have any evidence to support them. " Tetsu said and sensed a Shinigami close by. " I'll be right back. "He said getting up out of his chair and heading to the backyard.

"Yeah. Grandfather use to take me here and teach me Quincy techniques. After he passed away, I kept coming here since this was one of the places I remembered him the most," Ishida said. "Now then...can I see what you got?" He asked.

Toushiro did not have any good news for Tetsu, although he wish he did.

Saya nodded and stretched out her right arm. She closed her eyes and focused to manifest her crossbow.


" I have a feeling something bad has happened. " Tetsu said seeing the look on Captain Hitsugaya's face. He hoped nothing had and knew he would have to explain today's events.

Ishida watched as she formed a crossbow on her right arm. 'It takes her a while to form it, but her bolts make up for that loss of speed...interesting' he thought to himself as he continued to watch.

Toushiro sighed and nodded. "It has. There is a Plus spirit roaming around here by the name of Rue Collins," he started to say before he noticed Tetsu raise an eyebrow. "What, what's wrong?" he asked.

" I know this Rue that you mentioned. She came home with Hoshi a few days ago and said she was a friend of Elva. During the fight with the Hollows, I was going to join in, knowing that she would be safe here. I was knocked out and as I regained consciousness I saw a person leaving with her. I have two things I hate to admit captain. The first being that it was a Quincy who took Rue, and also I sensed what felt like Kyoka Sugestu, or at least the feeling of someone under the control of that particular Zanpaktou. What is wrong with Rue?" Tetsu said, keeping his voice low so Katniss couldn't hear.


Saya keeped focus and fired a dozen arrows. The next round was around the same amount. She felt guilty that she could only fire that amount each time. After a while more she finished , hoping she did well.

"Only twelve arrows?" he asked out of curiosity, not to demean her. Granted his bow was much more advanced since he was using his grandfather's talisman, but it was rare for a Quincy to only shoot a certain amount of arrows. In fact, when his grandfather told him about it once, he didn't believe him...now there was some proof.

Toushiro listened, a frown appearing on his face as he heard about Aizen's blade being used once again. "I thought we destroyed his blade after he was captured," he started before changing the subject to Rue.

"There is nothing wrong with Rue per say, but...there's something hidden within her soul, like with Rukia. I'm not one hundred percent sure what exactly it is, but it's some type of key." Toushiro said in the same low tone as Tetsu did. He wasn't sure why the ex-captain was doing it, but if he was then it had to be for a good reason.

" I'm sorry if it's not multiple arrows at once. It's just the way my abilities are. My dad could do the same thing, though he could increse the number if he had to." Saya said . She didn't feel Ishida was demeaning her like the others had done.

" I thought so too, but What sort of key? " Tetsu asked. He hoped it wasn't anything similar to the Oken. He had a feeling they would find out who was in charge soon and hoped they were prepared.

"Have you ever tried increasing your number? And don't worry about multiple arrows, in fact...I bet your arrows would get to any target faster than all of my arrows combined," Ishida said after hearing what Saya said.

"I'm not sure, although I wish I knew. Why are we speaking in hushed tones anyways?" Toushiro asked.

" I haven't tried before." Saya said , glad that he wasn't criticizing her for her differences. She hoped she could gain some strength in case she was need to fight.

" Rue's friend Katniss might be around. I know how upset she is that Rue was taken. We all are upset. I just hope we can get Rue back." Tetsu said. He had his guard up and thought he sensed a new presence in the area, hoping who ever it could be was on their side.

"Why not?" He asked, wondering what kept her from trying.

" I don't know really. Would you like me try ?" Saya asked.

Toushiro noticed Tetsu tense up for a few seconds. He flared his senses as well as putting his hand on Hyourinmaru, ready to pull his partner out at a moments notice if whoever was out there had intent to harm them. Once his senses signified who it was, he relaxed lightly and took his hand away from his blade. "Rukia-san, it's not wise to try and sneak up on us like that," he said before getting an apology from Rukia.

"I think you should at least give it a try," Ishida said.

Saya nodded and streched out her right arm again and focused . She shot twelve arrows, with one following shortly afterward. She kept trying till she knew she could shot the stray arrow along with the others. She was feeling tired once she had stopped for a little while.

Tetsu was glad it was Rukia that he had felt, hoping she had some good news.

Ishida grabbed her arm lightly after she finished firing her arrows, seeing her swaying lightly. "Are you okay?" He asked, concerned.

"I've found some news about who kidnapped Rue and what we're facing against," she said.

"I'm just a little tired. I've been up since 4 this morning and used more spiritual energy than I thought I would today . " Saya said. She sensed more shinigami , but was feeling less tense.

" What is the news?" Tetsu asked. He wondered if these Quincy were the group that his college friend told him about.

"Alright," Ishida said as he let go of her arm, seeing that she now retained her balance. He noticed other shinigami as well and wondered what was going on.

"The group of Quincy that attacked us are called the Vandenreich," Rukia started off before explaining that they were exiled from the Quincy before the shinigami purged them in order to keep balance. Although why they're attacking now is anyone's guess."
