" You okay Ishida-San? " Saya asked, having the feeling that his dad had to work late again. " Aunt Meg said they are getting a lot of applicants for that new General Doctor program. She told me this morning that they hired one and were going to talk to her today. I sort of want to be a doctor but I like Psycology a lot too. " Saya said. The more she heard her aunt talk about her job , the more Saya was interested.

"I know he's looking forward to meeting you. He's a good man, doesn't say much , but when he does its for a good reason. " Urahara never understood why Ren didn't talk much and wondered if it had to do with the Vandenreich. " Eriko is nice too , but I think she will spend time with Ichigo and his sisters. I'm wondering about Naomi-chan's powers. I know Eriko is an elemental Quincy but I've never seen one in action before. Kenji had never used his element during our fights and I'm curious to why." Urahara said. He knew Yoruichi wanted to discuss what to do with the cubes.

" Just really serious. Grandma says I need to relax a bit. I will tell her that you like spicy. She makes a great spicy beef curry a d serves it on molded rice. Can I send her your Email? I know she will message you once she gets it. " Naomi said. She knew she would need to change her clothes and put her hair up for the interview once they arrived back at the clinic. She had her important papers ready in a folde that she would also take. She had a feeling she already had the job, but wanted to be sure before she looked for an apartment.

"Father's working late again, nothing new," he said with a small sigh. He knew that with all the new members he was hiring that he had to make sure their credentials checked out, but that didn't mean he had to like it. As he said that, he thought about what to make himself for dinner.

"Alright then, and I'll trust your judgement on Ren," Yoruichi responded. Old habits of using her cat form to judge a person died hard after all. "Now then...what do you want to do with Ichigo and the other's trainings? I assume that Ren will want to take Ichigo and Karin-chan under his wing once they awaken their Quincy powers, but what about the others?" she asked, wondering what they could do about the cubes and how to reset them.

"You don't seem serious to me Nam-chan, although I might be a little biased towards you," Ichigo responded, though he could be wrong. "You can give grandma my e-mail, and I'll make sure to respond as soon as I can," he said, knowing that she would after missing them for so long. Now then...about your interview. You have everything you need for it?" He asked. He knew what it was like to interview for a job, since he had asked to quit his about a month ago. He just didn't have the time anymore now that his powers were functioning again.

" Would you like to stay for dinner Ishida-San ?" Kyoko asked. She knew that it could be hard for a teen to see their parent or a family member work too hard. She had been worried about Megumi, but knew her daughter had a flexible schedule now that she was working at a hospital.

" Ren says he wants to train Ichigo himself. He also says Naomi is ready to begin teaching and wants her to train Karin once she is ready. For the others I want to set them all the same this time. I want them to experience multiple levels of hollows. This way they will be able to work together as a team. I'm not sure if I want them as a group or small teams of two and three We have 4 Quincy ,4 Shinigami and Orihime and Chad. I think that if they work in teams it will teach them that people with different powers are capable fighters too. " Urahara said.

" I can be at times , though I relax when I'm around family or friends. I do. I have a business outfit that I bought a few months ago and a copies of the documents I was to include in the packet I sent to them. It has a paper I wrote on the dynamics of physics and how the muscle system applies them. I took a physics class , since I needed one more science credit. I had taken Chemistry in high school and that counted toward my qualification for that class. That particular paper was the one my adviser suggested , since it was a major part of my final semester grades. " Naomi said proudly. She had worked really hard on it and her professors had been impressed.

"If I'm not going to be a bother," Ishida replied with a polite tone.

"I think small groups of two and/or three should be a better idea, especially with everyone's different abilities," Yoruichi responded as she thought about Ren training Ichigo exclusively on his Quincy powers, which made sense. "Why doesn't Ren train both Ichigo and Karin, assuming that their powers do kick in soon," she asked.

"That wouldn't surprise me," Ichigo said, seeing as he did something similar when in the public whereas he was somewhat different when around friends and family. "Sounds like you're more than ready, and qualified Naomi-sensei," he said with a teasing voice, surprised that she put a paper in along with her resume. He had a feeling that while she could probably take care of herself, he still wanted to walk her towards the place of the interview, knowing that she could still be a potential target for the Vandenreich.

" You won't be a bother. You can join me and Saya when we start the soup. It's always fun to teach young people how to make it." Kyoko said , remembering when she taught Megumi and Ken to make it when they were teens.

"It gives Naomi a chance to teach her cousin what she's learned and to get her ready to be a Quincy. This will also help Naomi prepare for when she trains her own children in the future. It's pretty much a common thing in Quincy families for family members to assist in the training of younger members." Urahara said repeating what Ren had told him." I have a feeling Ichigo is closer to unlocking his powers than we think, as is Karin, they just need that slight push. "He added. Urahara wondered when Karin came into her Quincy powers, that would also awaken her Shinigami side and Karin would hear the voice of her Zanpaktou spirit.

Naomi laughed." I guess I am. " She said with a smile. " I probably will be looking at apartments once the interview is done. From what I can tell, there are some close to the clinic and the hospital that don't seem too steep. I just want to see what the neighborhoods are like. Naomi knew that even in a smaller town like Karakura there could be rough neighborhoods, but none of them were probably as bad as the ones in Yokohama.

"Alright, and thank you Kyoko-san," Ishida said, biting back his retort about how fun it was to learn from old people, knowing that statement wouldn't be a good idea. He wondered if the elderly lady thought this was a date between him and her granddaughter but mentally shrugged and let her think what she wanted to think.

"I see. Thanks for clearing that up for me Kisuke-kun," Yoruichi said before giving him a small kiss. While she liked teaching Ichigo, and teasing him with the fact that he was still way to pure, she had liked the young man. While she hoped that Karin would never had to use her powers to fight, but knew that she would follow in her brother's footsteps.

"You want my help?" Ichigo asked, talking about finding an apartment.

Kyoko wondered if this was adate,but knew teens still liked to have friends of the opposite gender. She got the things she would need for the soup out and started to peel potaoes. Saya joined in and handed Ishida a peeler too.

Urahara smiled." Do you think it might be possible that Karin will unlock her Shinigami powers at the same time she does her Quincy ones? I'm thinking she might to the extent she'll start to hear her Zanpaktou spirit. I always assumed that scenario would have happened to Ichigo when he was Karin's age, but it seems that he's unlocked them in reverse. I also assume his Quincy side is why Tensa Zangetsu is more compressed than what a normal Bankai is, but it's just an theory I've had for a little while. " He said and gave Yoruichi a light kiss back.

" Sure! Would you like to take me to my interview and afterwards we can go look? I was told the interview shouldn't go over 45 minutes at the most. I understand if it's shorter, since I've heard the hospital is growing by leaps and bounds." Naomi said. She knew she would be happy working for her Uncle Isshin's clinic through the hospital and was glad she would have some more free time compared to what she had in the last few years.

Ishida took the peeler from Saya and started helping peel the potatoes.

Yoruichi smiled after the light kiss before thinking about it for a second. "It's possible, though when it comes to them, who knows. For all we know, if Karin did unlock both abilities at the same time she could switch between the two powers," she commented, knowing that anything was possible when it came to the Kurosaki family.

"That sounds like a plan," Ichigo said, knowing that he would worry about Naomi until she stepped through the doors, it was just the type of person he was. They were heading back to the clinic first so that Naomi could change into something more professional.

" I think she could to. I'm sure Ichigo will be able to do the same and use his Visard abilities. I'm not sure what Ren's going think when he finds out about Ichigo's hollow side , but he'll probably find a way to use it in Ichigo's training. I won't take the same route in Karin's training as I did Ichigo's. I'll probably use the same methods I did for Tatsuki and Hoshi. I don't want to have Isshin get angry again. " Urahara said remembering when Isshin first found out about Ichigo going to Soul Soicety.

Naomi was glad to be back at the clinic and excused herself to get changed. She took the outfit she had planned to wear into the bathroom. She then brushed her brown hair and put it in the bun she had used when she had worked at the Naruki University clinic. She didn't like make up, but put a little bit on just to finish the look off. All she needed to do now was to put her dress shoes on and grab her folders, but she still had a little bit of time. "I hope this look will work. It always did back at the university. "Naomi said when she was done. Naomi was glad that when she had an apartment , her things would be there within a day or two. Most of the students were gone and the campus moving service had her things in storage till she was ready for them.

Yoruichi nodded. "I'm sure it will be quite interesting nonetheless," she said as she giggled lightly before it turned into a full laugh. "I remember overhearing about that. Isshin-kun was not happy you let his son go into Soul Society to rescue Rukia-chan," she said with a small grin on her face. "Then again, that would be the only suitable place for him to learn how to use Bankai."

Ichigo waited for her to come out of the room that they had let her borrow. Once she came out, Ichigo teased her by issuing out a low wolf whistle. With her looking like that, he was glad that he was going with her, especially since he knew that some people in the town were scum that would pray on women with good looks. He had a feeling he was going to need the knuckle dusters that he recently bought. He didn't use them often, but he kept them around as a just in case measure.

" But remember, Ichigo going to Soul Society was enough for Isshin to ask Tetsu to help him regain his powers." Urahara said with a grin. It was good to be able to spar with his friend again like they had when they both were 3rd seats.He paused for a moment an felt a few familiar Shinigami coming through. He was surprised that they had acted this quickly but wasn't too concerned.

Naomi blushed. " I guess I don't project the intended effect. I wanted to look smart , but according to Satoshi, smart is attractive. Oh! Speaking of Hirose-chan, He's going to be in town late tomorrow and will be staying at his sister Nagisa's house. She owns their aunt's old antique shop here in Karakura. He's working as a secretary at the Defense department now. He doesn't like the paperwork though but says it is worth it since the pay is better and he is safer than he was in Special Ops. He had a really close call his last mission, and he was really bothered about it. And I know where he is too. " Naomi said. Satoshi was the youngest of three kids and Nagisa was his older sister. The oldest sister was Sakura, who was married and took over the family campground. " Are we ready to go Ichi-chan? I promise to only call you that here and not in front of your friends. " She said with a grin and put her dress shoes on, grabbing the folders she needed. She had heard really good things about Director Ishida and wasn't too nervous. She had felt some Quincies in the area and had a feeling she would be meeting some today. She also double checked her wrist to make sure she had her pendant with her, just in case she would need to fight, but hoped she didn't need to.

"And seeing the look on Ichigo's face when his father saved him had nothing to do with it at all," Yoruichi said with a small smirk on her face. She noticed a few Shinigami coming through already and was surprised that they had acted this quickly. The smirk grew as she felt the familiar reiatsu of her Little Bee.

"You do look smart, and attractive as well," Ichigo said with a grin. "Besides, I was just teasing you, as I'm sure you're going to do great on your interview," he added although he did nod when she mentioned Satoshi and the work that he did. "Ready to go, and I'll make ya a deal. Call me that only here, and I'll do the same with you and calling you 'Nam-chan'" he said as he headed out the door with her.

" That was classic! I'll never forget the look that Ichigo had. But it was a good thing Isshin did show up, since that was one thing Aizen didn't plan on happening. " Urahara said with a grin. and could feel Soi-fon get closer. He grinned and was looking forward to seeing Soi-Fon again, even if she said she didn't like him very much. He also sensed a few others and hoped Naomi wouldn't be too overwhelmed.

" Deal." Naomi said and tensed a bit as they walked. She could sense some Shinigami ,but knew they were friends with Ichigo. She kept her senses up and her Reiastu down like she always did when she was out. The last thing she wanted to do was to inadvertently attract hollows to their location. She relaxed as they saw the hospital in the distance and could sense a couple more Shinigami arrive. " I'm thinking my apartment search is going to be an interesting one Ichigo. " Naomi said with a smirk. She wondered what Satoshi was going to think , since he had never met any before. She did include him in the message, but knew he would respond when he was able to. " Wish me luck. " Naomi said and gave a hug to her cousin before heading inside. Once she arrived to the right floor and office she sat down in a small lobby. She was a bit early, but it would give her a chance to look over things again till her name was called.

Yoruichi snickered lightly as she recalled that memory, before a sly grin appeared on her face. "So, are you ready to tell Soi-fon the news about us dating?" Yoruichi asked. She knew that she was going to help her boyfriend out of the jam, but she wanted him to sweat for just a little bit.

Ichigo chuckled lightly and felt Naomi lower her reiatsu just a bit as he felt some other shinigami in the area. He hoped that this didn't put his friends on guard, but would explain it to them if they did indeed ask. "Why do you say that Naomi?" He asked out of curiosity before they made it to the hospital. Once hearing her ask for luck he scoffed. "You don't need luck girl. You're gonna knock them dead," he said with a lopsided grin as he returned the hug and waited outside for her. He had grabbed a book while waiting and opened it. However, he did keep his spiritual awareness open, ready to go into action if necessary. 'I wonder who's gonna teach my Imouto, Ren-jiji or Nam-chan' he thought to himself.

" As ready as I'll ever be. I'm just wondering what she will do." Urahara said, knowing this could get dicey. " Well good afternoon Captain Soi-fon. Good to see you this fine day." He said with a smile hoping to relax his tension.

"Wonder why there are so many shinigami out today?" Hoshi asked Katia as she put the ramen in bowls. She wondered if it also had to do with the change she felt in Ichigo since yesterday, and hoped everything was alright.

Naomi could sense a strong presence coming closer to where she was sitting and wondered if it was the director. She thought she could sense some Quincy in the hospital, but she wasn't sure where they were. Naomi didn't know why she always searched for a Quincy presence in a new area, and wondered if it was just an instinct that was common to have. She heard her name called and she stood up, ready to start the interview, She hoped Ichigo wasn't too bored waiting for her.

"I won't let it go to far, and I'm sure you can dodge her Shikai," Yoruichi responded with a grin as she saw Soi-fon come into the shop, inwardly giggling at her boyfriend sweating just a little, but not betraying anything to both of them. "Hey Little Bee, miss me?" She asked.

"I wonder why also," Katia said. "Perhaps we could ask Ichigo tomorrow?" She asked as she thanked her for the bowl of ramen. She still remembered the nightmare, and silently cursed the clairvoyance they had due to their visions because of it. She knew that it was only a nightmare and not a vision though.

Ichigo chuckled lightly at what he just read, glad that wasn't him in the protagonist's place before he sensed Soi-fon and chuckled lightly. 'Good luck with that one Kisuke,' he thought to himself as he waited for Naomi. 'I wonder if she's started her interview yet,' he thought before going back to his book.

" Of course Yoruichi-sama." Soi-fon said with a small smile. She always liked to see her old mentor and knew that something was up with Urahara. He never seemed this nervous about something and asked him what was wrong.

" Nothing actually." He said nervosly. " But Yoruichi and I do have some good news for you. We are dating now." He said not sure if he could determine what her expression was.

" I think we should. Want to play in the back yard a little bit? We'll be safe since the barrier is there. I could teach you how to play catch. " Hoshi said. Catch was a game she had liked to play when she was growing up and it would be nice to get some fresh air for a change.

Naomi was glad the interview had gone well, and was glad that she had been hired. She was also glad that she would be able to work for her uncle and smiled as she waved at Ichigo. It had been about 35 minutes and hoped her cousin hadn't been too bored,

"Well it's about time," Soi-fon said, smirking lightly at how relieved Urahara looked after that. "Just remember one thing," and at this she vanished before reappearing with her shikai dangerously close to Urahara's face. "I can kill people with two strikes in the same place," she said. She knew that her old mentor and the mad scientist were good friends, if not great friends, and wanted to make sure that if he did anything wrong...

"Alright Little Bee, that's enough. I think he got your message loud and clear," she said after a few minutes, embarrassed and proud that her ex-student would stick up for her like that and waited for her to sheathe her stinging zanpakuto. Once she did, she continued. "Now then, you know why we asked you to come here, correct?" She asked as Soi-fon nodded. "Good"

"Sounds like fun," Katia said, knowing what Catch was as she watched some kids play while they were out doing recon for other jobs and had asked what it was. Although, she never got the chance to play it.

Ichigo saw Naomi come out of the hospital with a smile on her face as he put the book away. "I take it you got the job?" he asked as he waved back towards her. 'Didn't realize that time went by so quickly,' he thought to himself as he waited for her to answer his question.

" I will remember." Urahara said glad that Yoruichi had interrupted in time. " I have a feeling we have at least a couple days to prepare for any possible attack." Urahara said, having the feeling the Vandenreich always knew when the right time to strike was.

" I'll get my ball." Hoshi said and went to her room.She opened her drawer and grabbed the ball she had since she was 7.It was old but it was something she kept to remember the happy times that she spent with both her parents. She grabbed some water and hurried back to Katia. She felt some Shinigami nearby, but knew that things would be alright today. She wondered if she or Katia would have a vision tonight about any battle that might happen." Ready to start?" She asked Katia.

" I did. Everyone who did see my application were impressed. I start on Tuesday working for your dad. Though I probably should tell him first before he gets notified by the hospital telling me I will be working for him. " Naomi said and sent her uncle an Email. She would call her parents after dinner, knowing they were still at work." I'll let mom and dad know later. Dad's the head of International Studies now at the university, though he still calls himself just a simple teacher. Mom's still working at the graphics company and is wrapping up a big project that they have been working on for the last few months. Daisuke is probably hanging out with his friends, since he doesn't have school today either." Naomi said. "But before we start , would you like some lunch?" Naomi asked. She was happy that things had worked out so well.

"Just make sure that you do," Soi-fon said before reverting her zanpakuto back into it's original form before sheathing it. "I have an idea, something a little risky," the petite captain said. "The way I see it, if the Vandenreich attack, they're going to be out in all forces, either going full out or leave only a few members back at their headquarters. If we have our forces split, we can rescue Rue Collins and/or Jessica."

Katia saw Hoshi head back downstairs with a ball in her hand, seeing it having some age on it. Curiosity came over her as she followed her cousin to the backyard. She reflexively flinched as she sensed more shinigami around the town, wondering if they were secretly going to kidnap her before shaking her head lightly.

"That's great!" Ichigo said. "And I'm surprised that your dad is so far up the ladder. I remember when he actually was just a simple teacher," he said with a chuckle as Naomi pouted lightly. He remembered what her mother and father did and was glad to hear that nothing much had changed. "Lunch sounds good right about now.

" It does sound risky but it might work. Is it alright if I tell a source of mine about that idea? He has much knowledge of how the Vandenriech work , since he was a member decades ago. He will be here on Saturday to speak with Captain Hitsugaya. He has agreed to tell of what he knows and will be able to help us formulate a solid plan. You are invited to come if you would like. " Urahara said. He had been surprised at how willing Ren had agreed to talk about the Vandenriech.

" Having fun?" Hoshi asked Katia. She was glad throwing the ball was helping her cousin relax a little. "You're safe. I sense a few Shinigami I've met. Though, there are some that I sense that I haven't , but I have a good feeling they are friends of Ichigo's" She added. " Would you like to know the story behind the ball?" Hoshi asked hoping that would help Katia.

" I'm glad dad got that job. He had been named interim head of his department when Professor Higashi died unexpectedly and had added a few more courses while he was there. I think that's why the University board appointed him to that spot permanently . He worked a lot when me and Dai-chan were kids, but he did make time for us when he could. " Naomi said slightly frowning.She had always hated it when she didn't see him for what seemed like days. " Where do you usually go to eat? I'm up for just about anything.Not a ramen shop though. I had a scary experience in a ramen shop last year when there was an attempted robbery , while me and a few of my friends from med school ate there. Scared us all into eating on campus for a few months. " Naomi said shuddering a little bit.

"If you or your source don't mind," Soi-fon said, wondering who the source that Urahara was talking about was. The more information that they had, the better off they would be and wondered why whoever this person was didn't come to them sooner, and asked as such.

"A little fun," Katia replied, although the fact that there were so many shinigami around brought back past memories and fears. She knew that she had nothing to fear due to her uncle's barrier, but it was still something that brought back bad memories all the same, even if she did hear about them most likely being friends with Ichigo. "I'd like to hear it, please," she said after a few moments.

"I see," Ichigo said as he thought of where to go for lunch after listening to his cousin. He knew that Ramen was out, even as a joke. While he would tease her about that if it was anyone else or if anything else happened, but some things you just didn't do, and that was one of them. "Alright then, no ramen shop. What about this small cafe I know?" He asked.

" He's been waiting for the right time. He hasn't been here in Karakura for almost 8 years, since his daughter was murdered by the Vandenreich while she was protecting her son.He knows now is the right time to tell you how to fight them. He says he will tell you the name of their leader, and knows its a name that the Captain Commander knows well." Urahara said. He never liked it when Ren got so cryptic, but he understood why he did so.

"The summer I turned 8 my mom wanted me to learn to throw a baseball. She had played softball in school and I wanted to do the same. She and I would toss it to each other when I finished my homework each night.After she died, dad would to the same, knowing it helped the both of us remember her. " Hoshi said. She wanted to make new memories with Katia to help her cousin.

"Sounds like a plan." Naomi said with a smile. She had the apartment flyer in her purse so they could look at it during their meal. She thought she saw a flash of black overhead, and wondered which of Ichigo's friends it was. She was cautious, but it was much better than being fearful.

"Really, he knows the name of the Leader?!" she asked surprised. If they knew the name of their leader, then they could prepare for what he could do. She then sensed another shinigami coming close to them, feeling as if it was the fourth division captain.

Katia listened in surprise to the story and wished that she could have met her aunt. "I wish I could have met her, she sounded like a cool mom," Katia responded.

Ichigo felt the reiatsu of Hanataru and smiled lightly, glad that one of his friends was already here. "No need to worry, it's just Hanataru. He helped us during the rescue of Rukia-chan," he said with a small grin.

" He does. He was a low ranking member of the Sternritter. What his rank was I don't know, but I hope he'll be willing to diclose that infomation on Saturday. "Urahara smiled when he sensed Hanataro getting closer." I got an order from Captain Unohana for some supplies while the everyone is stationed here." Urahara said and went to greet the younger Shinigami.


" I wish you could have too. She was very sad that you had gone missing and that your parents had been killed. I didn't know that a few months later she would be gone too." Hoshi said feeling sad. She hoped her mom was at peace in Soul Soicety . Want to head inside? We could watch a movie and I'll let you pick." She said with a smile a little bit later.

" Okay. I do know the version your dad told me of that adventure. What I've wanted to hear was your version. " Naomi said with a smile. She was looking forward to being closer to her cousins now that she had a job here in Karakura.
