Ren gave a sigh of relief. " That's good. I don't know how much time Jessica has left. That power is a very powerful sedative. I know a compound that counter acts the effects of it. I can write it down if you would like. " Ren offered. He had been the one to develop it when he was younger and had the formula written down and hidden someplace where no one would find it.

"I would like that please," Kisuke said, having a feeling they would need the antidote.

Ren nodded and wrote the antidote down on paper. "I'm hoping both girls can be saved. No one deserves to be prisoners of the Vandenreich. " He said solemnly and handed Kisuke the instructions.

Kisuke took the piece of paper from Ren, thanking him as he did so, knowing that he would be working on this once everyone left. He just hoped that Yoruichi understood

" I thank you for giving me the chance to talk." Ren said gratefully. He saw Kenji give him a encouraging smile and Ren smiled back. He was glad he had a family that wouldn't judge him because of his past.

"You're welcome Ren-san," Toushiro replied, hoping that Kisuke could get on that antidote as soon as possible. He had a feeling that they were going to need it, especially since they didn't know how much of this sleeping poison that Jessica had consumed.

" Is there anything else you both would like to know. I do want to start Ichigo's training this afternoon, but I can wait a little bit longer. " Ren said and gave a grin to Ichigo. He had it all planned out, but would make changes once he saw Ichigo's Shinigami powers.

Both Soi-fon and Toushiro shook their heads in the negative, allowing Ren to train Ichigo in whatever he needed to train in.

" Are we ready to start? I have a feeling here would be a good place to start. " Ren said once Soi-Fon and Hitsugaya left.


Daisuke was looking forward to help, but knew he wasn't needed yet.He wanted to get his sister a gift for graduation, knowing this was the only chance he had to do so.

Yoruichi decided to get some rest since she had been patrolling the last 24 hours. " Let me know if you need me. " She said with a grin.

Hitsugaya nodded before creating a senkon gate, leading both himself and Soi-fon back into soul society. They had a report to give.

"Only if you are Ren-jiji," Ichigo replied. He was curious as to how his grandfather would react to his powers. Seeing that Daisuke wanted to get out for a little bit, though what, he didn't know. "Dai, go ahead and enjoy the sites for a bit. Or go buy Naomi a graduation present," he said, unknowingly guessing why he wanted to leave for a few minutes.

"I'll most likely be working on this," Kisuke said indicating the antidote that Ren gave him just a few minutes ago. "But do enjoy your nap neko-hime," he said with a small grin as he headed towards his laboratory.

Daisuke smiled. "Alright. I'll probably head back to your house when I'm done." He said as he waved good by. He had his guard up as he walked the streets not wanting to be jumped by anyone. He saw a few shinigami above him, but just kept walking. He hoped he could find something his sister liked .

Ren was glad that Daisuke had the chance to look around the town while he trained Ichigo. He headed toward the training area , still wishing Kisuke would change the ladder into stairs. He wasn't much of a fan of ladders, since he had fallen off one as a small boy.

Ichigo followed his grandfather towards the training facility, wondering what was wrong when he stopped at the trapdoor. "Jiji?" Ichigo asked.

"I'm fine. I fell off a ladder when I was a small boy and broke my arm. " Ren explained. He would just be carful as he headed done the ladder. He wasn't too afraid of falling since he knew he needed to keep his focus as he went down to the floor.

Ichigo winced in sympathy, knowing someone who had fallen off a ladder. Shaking his head, he soon followed his grandfather down the ladder. A few moments later, he was standing on ground once again.

" First I want to see how you fight." Ren said, getting his pendant ready for a spar. He was looking forward to this since he knew Ichigo was very close to unlocking his Quincy abilities.

"You sure about that Jiji? I don't want to give you a heart attack or anything," he said, as he reached into a pocket for the soul badge.

" I'm sure. I'm stronger than I appear to be." Ren said with a grin and formed his bow. It was solid silver and was a little longer than a normal bow, but still too short to be considered a long bow. "I'm ready when you are." He said.

"Alright. Give me a second so that my body isn't collateral damage," Ichigo said as she walked into a corner before hitting himself in the chest with the badge, ejecting his spirit. Stepping away from his body, he took Zangetsu off his back, the wrapping shrinking as it usually when he was about to get into a battle.

Ren was quite impressed with Ichigo's Zanpaktou and was looking forward to seeing what it could do. " You need to be able to expect anything in battle" Ren started and sent a few arrows toward Ichigo and moved fast out of the way. He knew Shunpo and was glad Kisuke had taught it to him.

Ichigo blocked the arrows that came to him with the broad frame of his blade, quickly sensing that his grandfather had moved from in front of him and to a different side of the field. Channeling his reiatsu quickly into Zangetsu, he turned to the left and fired a Getsuga off.

Ren held his bow in front of him and was able to create a shield of spiritual energy to block the blast Ichigo had sent toward him. Ren shot several more arrows and moved to another area in the training room. He wanted to do some long range fighting before he started the close range.

Ichigo saw that Ren had blocked his powered version of Getsuga with a shield and scowled lightly before seeing him move again, much farther away now. 'Long range, huh?' he thought to himself as he looked at his blade in wonder. Zangetsu did say he could experiment with the Getsuga after all. Putting his reiatsu into the blade once again, he located his grandfather before flinging the stored up energy out. However, unlike last time, this Getsuga wasn't just one long wave of energy, but several small bursts of it. It didn't hold the same range as the normal or bankai version, but it would definitely work for long range.

Ren noticed the difference in the blasts and aimed arrows at them, wanting to see if they were solid or not. He blocked them again with the shield and shunpoed to another area and shot several dagger like arrows at Ichigo. He would make them larger as the fight went on.

Ichigo was a little wary at the sight of the dagger-like arrows and shot several of them down with his weaker Getsuga. What he missed he either blocked with the front side of Zangetsu or dodged out of the way completely.

Ren was impressed with Ichigo's reflexes and decided it was time it was time for close range contact. He had trained his children how to fight with a sword, since it proved to be more efficient to fight a Shinigami with. He formed his now into a sword and got in a fighting stance , wanting to see how fast Ichigo could be.
