"Desperate Measures. Right," Pete deadpanned lightly before getting out of the car and grabbing his stuff. "You seem a little too happy to head to Japan, if you ask me," he added.

" What's not to be happy about? Josh raves about the food there and I finally get to meet a guy as smart or maybe even smarter than I am. " Claudia said getting on the plane.

Pete looked astonished for a second. "Did I just hear the words 'someone smarter than you' come out of your mouth? Who are you?" Pete asked before getting on the plane. He was glad that they could bypass security since they were on a private plane.

" Yes you did hear those words and you better not tell anyone I said that. " Claudia said and sat down. She did think Kisuke was much smarter than she was but wouldn't mind if he was.

"Oh come on, not even Myka?" Pete asked.

" Not even Myka. " Claudia said with a grin. She knew that she would eventually let Pete tell Myka she said that but was having fun at the moment. Picking on Pete was one way she could forget for the moment that she could see ghosts.

"Alright," he responded before sitting into his seat before getting comfortable in it.

The flight to Denver was uneventful and so was the one to Japan. Claudia had been studying some of the language packets that were on the plane for them to study. She had noticed that Pete had been reading all the ones based on food. " Attention. We should be landing shortly. Make sure you are in your seats and seat belts are fastened. " The Flight attendant said on the PA system.

Kisuke waited for both Claudia and Pete, his old and trusty hat square upon his head. All he had to do now was wait.

Claudia grabbed her bags at the terminal and looked around for the green and white hat.She gave an excited wave when she saw it having a feeling that was Kisuke." I found him." She told Pete.

"Then let's go!" Pete said, giddy. He never had been in Japan before. Well there was that one time, but that didn't count.

" Hello Claudia. It is a pleasure to finally to be able to meet you in person. And you must be Pete." Kisuke said with a smile. He could sense that Claudia had strong spiritual pressure and hoped that there was the chance that she could learn to repress it.

" It's good to finally meet you in person. Did you get the packages?" Claudia asked, and was glad when he gave a positive nod.

"I did. Thank you for those by the way," Kisuke responded. "Claudia has told me many things about you Pete Latimar. I do hope you behave willingly."

" I will I promise." Pete said and got an odd vibe form Kisuke. He knew there was something different about this guy and that he had a feeling that they would be in for an interesting mission.

Claudia sighed lightly when she saw Pete getting a vibe, though it was weird. It was as if she could see something shimmer around Pete for a few seconds, but then it was gone just like that.

"Are we ready? My friend Tessai should have dinner ready by the time we arrive back at the shop. There I'll introduce you to the others that live there ." Kisuke said and noticed the shimmer around Pete. There was something about him that made Kisuke wonder what had just happened.

Claudia noticed that Kisuke had also noticed the thing around Pete and raised a silent eyebrow at it. She made a mental note to ask Kisuke about it later.

" Here we are ." Kisuke said when they arrived at his van. " Just take a seat inside and I can put your bags in the back." He added and tried to think of what Pete might be. He would have to ask either Yoruichi or Isshin about that aura he had seen.

"You sure you don't need any help?" Pete asked.

" I'm sure." Kisuke said with a grin." You just relax. I have a feeling you both are tired from your long trip. Speaking of which, how did it go?" He asked.

" It was long. Just watched some videos and read some language packets. Japanese is an odd language." Claudia said. She hoped she didn't offend anyone on this trip knowing that Artie counted on her to do well.

"If you say so," Pete responded before heading into the car, yawning lightly.

Kisuke chuckled lightly at that. "I'm quite sure we could say the same about the English language, Claudia," he responded.

"You could. There are words my brother uses sometimes that I have no idea how he pronounces them." Claudia said. She wanted to tell Josh she was close by, but knew he would be safer if she didn't tell him where she was. She was glad he enjoyed his job here in Japan as a researcher.

"I see," Kisuke said as he chuckled lightly as he put the bags into the back of the van. He knew she was right and understood where she was coming from though. "Luckily the traffic will be light this time of day," he mentioned before both of them got into the car.

Claudia looked out the window as they drove and saw the river that her brother talked about. She was impressed with the buildings since it seemed that Karakura was a nice mix of old buildings and newer buildings." So when do we begin training ?" She asked.
