"It wouldn't surprise me," Isshin said with a light shrug, chuckling lightly.

"So...what is Jake like?" Ichigo asked.

" He's nice and smart. He wants to be a professional soccer player when he is older. Jake has an older sister and a younger brother and is a twin like I am. " Karin said with a smile on her face. " His sister is his twin. " She added.

Ichigo nodded lightly. "You were right, he does sound like a good kid," he said.

"We should probably get going. Thanks again Kisuke," Isshin said.

" Anytime. I'll let you know when the next training is. The captains have decided that they need a day or two to go over battle plans in case Gin attacks while Claudia and Pete are here." Kisuke said.

"Thanks Kisuke, for letting us know," Isshin said before both he and Ganju headed back to the clinic.

( I'll be moving in the next month or so. And it may be a while till I get Internet at my new apartment. I promise I will post when I do have it again. I'm just letting you know so you don't think I abandoned you. I'm sort of nervous about living in a new town but I'm looking forward to the adventure. At least my new town has a strict ordinance on fireworks.)


" Do you think dad knows Jake's dad? Jake's dad wants to get to know some of the local doctors in the area." Karin asked.

"It's possible, but I think you should ask dad yourself," Ichigo said with a light shrug. There was no right answer for that question.

( I will let you know when my last day is. I might be able to get on from time to time when things get settled. But money will be tight for a few months. )

" I'll ask him. I do want dad to meet Jake. " Karin said knowing her dad was way too overprotective Yuzu and her.

"It's your choice Imouto, though I do pity the boy already," Ichigo joked, knowing how protective their father could be.

" I do too. But Dad better be nice to him " Karin said.

" Nice to who?" Isshin asked as he entered the clinic with Ganju.

"Jake," Karin responded.

" Doctor Mackenzie's son? I'm surprised you know him already. " Isshin said. He had briefly met Greg Mackenzie during a meeting at the hospital and had been talking with Ryūken about get together with the doctors in Karakura town.

"He plays soccer just as well as I do; we met at one of the soccer tournaments," she explained.

" Really? I can I meet him? I promise I won't scare him too much. "Isshin said with a grin.

"Sorry pops, already beat you to that one," Ichigo said, laughing lightly when Isshin pouted at that. "I think she trusts me more than she does you with this," he added.

" She does?" Isshin said feeling disappointed." On a better tone, your Uncle Ganju will be staying with us for a little bit." He added and wondered where Yuzu was.

"Uncle Ganju?" Yuzu asked from the kitchen, haven't hearing the name before. Since no one had eaten, she had placed the food away so that it wouldn't rotten.

" He's my younger brother who decided to come visit us. I also have a younger sister I need to somehow convince to come too." Isshin said knowing that Yuzu knew about him being a shinigami.

Yuzu nodded in understanding. "It's a pleasure to meet you uncle," she said, curious as to why he was laughing.

"Isshin...why aren't more of your children like her? With manners?" he asked after getting his laughter under control, ignoring the shouts of Ichigo and Karin.

" They have manners. They just don't like being followed by strange people. " Isshin said and laughed a little bit.

Karin chuckled lightly at that, knowing that it was true.

Hoshi for some reason was glad to be back in Soul Society and wondered if it had to do with spending more time here than in the living world. She just wasn't sure how she would adjust to things back home once this was all over.

Rangiku was talking a light walk through the area, enjoying the rare day off that her captain gave her. She supposed that it was a reward for all the hard work that she was doing though she didn't have a destination in mind just yet.

Gin was taking a big risk by being here in Soul Society. He needed more souls for his amulet and knew a Shiniagmi would be needed. A higher rank one would be too much power and that would mean getting caught. He sensed Rangiku and hurried back to where he had started , not wanting to get caught by someone he had once cared for.

'Huh, what was that?' Rangiku thought as she turned her head, thinking she felt Gin's reiatsu. If that was the case, then she had to find Hoshi and quickly, knowing that she was going to show up today.
