"Halibel kissed me on the cheek before leaving. I have a feeling that's what is causing her current behavior" he said before reverting Hyourinmaru back to its initial form and sheathing it.

Tetsu nodded. " She's worried you don't love her anymore. This is common among women and know how it feels. " He said since he and his late wife had had similar trouble while they were dating.

"I think that's why she did it in the first place. Any idea how to make sure Hoshi-chan knows that that kiss didn't mean anything?" he asked, not sure what to do in order to patch it up.

" Show her that you still love her and tell her what happened. I know Hoshi loves you very much , but she's afraid to say anything fearing you'll reject her. " Tetsu said and knew his daughter was like her mother when it came to love.

"I'll do exactly that, thanks Tetsu" Toushiro responded.

" Now let's head inside. You have some wounds that need to be healed. " Tetsu said and hoped Hoshi was okay.

"I'm fine," he admitted though hid a wince as he moved.

" Let me help you in. It's the most I can do to help someone who's been a good friend. " Tetsu said offering a hand.

"Thanks," Tetsu replied before taking the man's hand.

Hoshi hated feeling this way and wondered if it was too late to tell Toshiro that she loved him. The last thing she wanted was to lose someone who had helped her from the beginning and had bacome someone she loved deeply.

Toushiro made his way inside with the help from Hoshi's father, hoping that both Hoshi and Katia were okay.

" I know he loves you Hoshi. " Katia said hoping to help her cousin.

"I hope so...I don't know what to think at the moment," Hoshi responded.

Katia gave Hoshi a hug. " Just let him talk okay? It might have been Halibel trying to distract you. " She said.

"I hope so..."was all that Hoshi said before the door opened and both Tetsu and Toushiro headed inside.

" Hoshi get a pillow and Katia get a blanket. " Tetsu said since he knew Toshiro needed to rest. "I still think your injuries are worse than you think. " Tetsu said.

"I'm fine, honest" Toushiro replied.

" Let's just be sure. I just wonder why Halibel didn't fight like she usually did. " Tetsu said having read reports about how she normally fought.

Toushiro sighed lightly, knowing when he couldn't win. "Alright," he said finally.

Hoshi stayed close to Toshiro as her dad healed him and still hoped he loved her. " What did Halibel want?" She asked hoping be didn't sound hurt.

"I'm not entirely sure what she wanted, to be honest" Toushiro admitted.

" She may have wanted to distract you Hoshi-chan. " Tetsu said having a bad feeling he was right.

"I have that feeling as well," Toushiro replied once he felt his strength return to him.

Hoshi nodded." I am sorry for getting upset. I just was worried you didn't like me anymore." She said feeling she was wrong in being jealous.

"Sorry love, you're not going to get rid of me that easily," Toushiro replied. "Besides...she's the enemy. Someone we have to fight and defeat," he added.
