I would like to remind everyone here of how a little thing called "Y2K" turned out. Yeah.
Anyone hosting an apocalypse party in Seattle? Hit me up!

Well after all the predictions sadly I feel a bit paranoid, and the curious part of my wonders if it's really true. But on the other hand the more realistic side of me thinks it's a total load. Honestly there have been so many predictions of when the Earth is apparently going to "end". The last one was in 2000, because no one though it could handle going into another millennium. Well look how that panned out, we're still here 11 years later. I know that the Earth won't be around forever, and that it will eventually end, but I don't think it'll be anytime soon, more like millions of years away. And I don't think we'll expect it in any way, we won't be able to predict it.

Aww, that's the date of the school ball.... A fun way to go out hopefully. I don't believe it, mostly because end of the world theories happen all the time, and so far - the world hasn't ended. Also, I turn 17 in less than a month, and I want to actually turn 17!

Well, two things.
1) Whose to say that the Mayan calender creator didnt get bored, and just stopped working on it? Or he/she died, or whatever?
2) I say bring it on. I wont know the world ended, so why should I care? If its going to happen, I doubt that anyone other than(if you believe in it) God will know when it will end.
Oh, and Im still planning to wake up on December 12, 2012 at the crack of dawn, open my window, and yell at the top of my lungs "BRING IT THE FUCK ON!...NOTHING?! IM GOING BACK TO BED!" :ninja:

The last one actually wasn't in 2000....There have been so many that I refuse to list them all, so here's a link. This is for everybody, by the way, to settle some nerves and qualms.

Elysium: So I skimmed the part about this supposed rapture thing happening on friday.
One line stood out to me.
"It will be on May 21st that God will raise up all the dead that have ever died from their graves"
This can only mean one thing.
Zombies! Grab your guns ladies and gents, and get ready for some zombie hunting! woooo!

I remember being in high school on June 6th 2006 and everyone was so focused on studying for finals we forgot it was the Devil's birthday (another Apocalypse theory). Well we felt so bad, me and my friends made a card the next day.

Yeah, I remember 666! Too funny. We also were awake for the exact day and time the calendar made 12345678, I believe.

Harold Camping owns 55 radio stations and advertised on 6000 billboards in the USA. After his first prediction of the end of the world failed in 1994, Camping refused to accept his condemnation as a false prophet and is at it a second time!

Well, there we have it 8D People are not only following a false rapture, they're following a QUACK to a false rapture. Pass the kool-aid.

Oh, I went to a pretty decent part on 6/6/6. :3
Anyhow, I heard about this whole thing in January. It gave me a good chuckle. What I'm trying to figure out is how anyone to predict a year for the world ending, when no one knows when Jesus was officially born, and we base our current year around his birth. >_>;
@ anaxilea: You know what they say; third time is the charm. xD

I don't get why people try to come up with end-of-the-world prophecies from the Bible in the first place.
Apparently they somehow all manage to miss that particular verse about no one knowing the date or time of the end... >.>

Lol. 6/6/6 The only thing I remember about that day is realizing that it was 6/6/6 and that it was probably a good idea for me to stay home. I think it turned out to be a pretty good day. I recall that it was sunny and the weather was wonderful.
Carzeebear: It's this Saturday, so we don't know yet.

And then we'll wake up the next day and laugh at them.
