I feel the need for some reason to ask if you guys worship any specific gods/goddesses or if what you believe is closer to the ancient religion of the Celts who worshiped an all powerful being called "the father" or "the mother" depending on where you were, and who you were talking to. :)

Just my mindless curiosity.

Well I'm planning on becoming a Satanist, I haven't taken any vows yet, but yeah, the type of Satanism I'm going to take up is very similar to Paganism/Wicca.

sarofset, I worship the Great Ones as a larger concept myself so I guess I'm a bit more celtic

hannibal, Satan is not in the Wiccan belief system. In what ways do you believe they are similar?

Similar in the fact that nature is a big part of it, the power of the elements air, fire, water, and earth, they're all incorporated. The deities also help and bless you when casting spells and spells for the most part are to be used for the good of yourself and blessing others in your life.

Using magic for personal gain, and wealth is a no no. It tends to piss off some spirits, and other beings that ought not be pissed off.

Ah, this thread hasn't been responded to in a month. Please come back, everyone? <3

Anyway, I'm Pagan. :)

I consider myself more of a green witch - and I don't follow any specific traditions because I've chosen to see it as my spiritual path and lifestyle, rather than religion. I ventured into Wicca, and joining a coven, but it doesn't resonate with me. And I certainly don't believe in initiation (though I understand and accept the structured nature and tradition of Wicca). If you're drawn to the path, it was meant to be, and the Goddess has already accepted you with love. You can learn as much as you can, but what it comes down to is your own interpretation and how it resonates with you.

I prefer to be completely solitary in my practice and connect directly with Gaia, plants, animals, elements, etc, rather than deities. And like a lot of pagans, I love reading up on Buddhism, Taoism, and Pantheism. What is everyone else's views?

I'll spend hours reading about Buddhism and Taoism. Both of them are amazing. <3
