Neva nodded as she listened to him, "okay if you say so." she said and then smiled as she heard the food being placed on the table. She coudln't see it but she was hungry and it smelled good. She grabbed what felt like sticks and slowly figured out how to use them. She then slowly found where hte food was and smiled as she took a bite out of it. "this is wonderful, I never had anything like this." she said and then thought for a moment. "I dont really know, there are so many things I can do now that I dont know what to do. I use to think I was doomed to live on the streets but now thanks to you I wont have to." she said.

Smiling, Alex said happily, "It really is nothing. Helping people is the whole reason i joined the Anti-Skills in the first place." Eating a bit more, he continued, "I'd be more than glad to help you out in any profession you choose. But before that, eat up, eat up. You're too skinny." Laughing, he finished with "What interests you?"

Neva smiled and nodded when she heard him. She was glad that he did held people, If he hadn't then she would of never helped her. She then chuckled slightly, "well I am skinny to you but in my oppinion this is the rarest I have been in years." she said as she stuffed her face with more. But then she had to think a little bit and shrugged, "I don't really know. I haven really expereinced much or thr world and I can since I have to stay blind folded. So I don't really have much interests, that is unless you count survivng one." she said as she continued to eat.

"Good enough for me." Alex said with a grin. After dinner, while they were walking home, Alex said to Neva, "I'm actually kinda glad you decided to stay. It's pretty lonely normally, and now that you're here, I finally have someone to talk to. Thank you." He didn't know what had prompted him to say that, but it was out now. When they got home Alex said, If you think of anything you want in your room, let me know." He headed upstairs and grabbed a shower, thinking of the days events.

Neva smiled when she heard him and soon finished. She then grabbed ahold of Alex's shirt and followed him home happily. "there is no need to thank, you already have done so much for me and I am happy to stay with you." she said as she followed him and was more then happy to stay. he was a good friend and she liked spending time with him. She was surprised that he offered to get her anything when they got home and smiled. She didn't know what she would want, she never had been able to get much in her life and now she could. Slowly she got her way back home and just layed down on the bed. Everythign was so different but she was happy.

Waking up, Alex rolled over to turn off his alarm. After hitting it a few times, he remembered that it was off for today. Without thinking, he rolled over and fell out of bed with a thump. Groaning, he figured that today would be a long day. Getting dressed, he changed his mind and plopped back onto his bed. Surely the would would survive if I took a five minute nap right? he thought. A few seconds later, he was mostly asleep, when a thought occurred to him. What if Neva comes looking for me? Grumbling, he put that thought aside and fell back asleep swiftly.

Neva slept threw the night and after a little while woke up. Slowly she got out of bed and felt her way around. But when she didn't hear Alex in the kitchen she wondered what was up. So she slowly made her way back up the stairs and towards his bedroom. Slowly she opened the door and poked her head in, "alex, I think it is time to wake up." she said as she slowly made her way to the side of the been and then started to shake him.

Mumbling, Alex muttered, "Okay. I'm up, I'm up!" Sitting up, he rubbed his eyes and said sleepily "Sorry 'bout fallin' back asleep." He stood up, stretched and headed down stairs. He made a few pancakes, and wolfed about half down. The other half he set aside for Neva. When she was done, Alex said, "I'm gonna head to the office right quick. You wanna come?"

Neva smiled when she heard him and then followed him back down stairs, "it is okay, i was just wondering were you where." she said as she sat down and then started to eat her pancakes slowly. They tasted good and she wasnted to savour every bit of them. "is it okay that I come?" she asked as she looked at him.

Alex shrugged and said "I don't see why not. We'll just call it a 'job shadow' shall we?" Heading towards the door, Alex said, "They probably won't be happy to see you. Don't worry, it's not anything you did. They just don't like me very much there." Chuckling, Alex created a car. When they got to the office, the entire place was a scene of pandemonium. Apparently, there was some sort of terrorist action going on in sector three, and there were heavy civilian casualties. Alex got suited up in his heavy combat gear, and jumped into the hopper. Just as they were taking off, Alex realized that he'd lost track of Neva, and had no idea where she was. It was too late now, but Alex kept an eye out for her, until the chopper took of. "I hope nothing happens for once" Alex muttered to himself.

Neva nodded and headed into the car with him. but it seemed the second she stepped into the building she was sepereated from Alex. people shoved her here and there and she soon found herself against a wall and just listening to the people that were running by. After the chopper took off things calmed down and a she heard feet walking towards her. "girl, state your name, number and purprose for being here." The girl who spoke held athority in her voice and Neva felt herself shaking slightly. "m-my name is Neva, I am a 1 and my friend alex brought me here. I lost him thought." she said softly and she heard the girl sigh and shook her head, "I should of known that guy would bring a 1 here, well till he gets back your going to be stuck with me. I am Tessa, I am one of the heads here." she said and Neva nodded, "nice to meet you... what number are you?" she asked softly and she felt tessa lay a hand on her hsoulder and start to lead her around, "I am a 5, I can make any part of my body a weapon." she said and Neva nodded as she followed her, "cool, all I can do is know everything I look at." she said softly and felt Tessa stop, "you mean you can just look at anything and know everything. Like if I took the blind fold off and looked at you you would know everythign about me?" she asked and Neva nodded, "yeah, but it hurts when I first do it. But I would know everything about you, what your powers are and what its weakness is." she said and even though she coudlnt' see Tessa she could tell she was smiling, "girl, your coming with me for a second." and Tessa lead Neva away.

Alex felt his gut clench. They were only about fifteen minutes away fromt the incedent scene, and you could hear the gunfire and screams already. A large man patted Alex on the shoulder, "You okay buddy?" Smiling, Alex said, "I am, but YOU might not be in a few minutes Jocko. I mean look at you, I'm six foot and you tower over me. Snipers'll love you." Jocko laughed at the old joke they shared. Then, turning serious, he asked, "Okay, how are you really feeling." Frowning, Alex said, "Like normal. Fearing for my life. Worring about what could have been. You know nothing big." Snorting, Jocko was about to reply, then he tilted his head listening to a broadcast. Alex turned his head seat on in time to catch the end of the transmission. "...seem to be dressed like.... like nuns. Also, be warned. We're not sure what their abilities are, or what level, but they all seem extrordinarily powerful. Minimum level 3." Whistling Alex said, "Heads up back there. Y'all got about thirty seconds till i touch down. Get prepped before then. I hope you enjoyed flying Air Hothead" Shaking his head, Alex got up to introduce himself to his assinged squad. One of them waved him over saying, "I'm Sandstorm. That's Typhoon. And next to me is Klondike. Don't ask. You must be Fury and Jocko, yes?" The anti-skill insisted that every member have a codename to use during incedents, so that terrorists and the like couldn't track them down using their real name. Only squad leaders knew their members real names, so Jocko knew Alex's name, but Alex didn't know Jocko's. Nodding, Jocko replied, "Thats us. You must be our replacements." He looked like he was going to say something, but over the intercomm Hothead said, "Get ready, we're touching down." As soon as the helicopter landed, he continued, "Welcome to paradise boys, hope you enjoy your stay." Alex jumped down, and ran into a sea of chaos.

Tessa took Neva to a room and sat her down in the middle of it. She then heard foot steps and knew more peopel were in the room. Hushed voices spoke and soon tessa said, "Neva, are you telling the truth about if you look as something you will know everything about it?" she asked and Neva nodded, "yes I am, I can also learn anything instantly if you show me it." she said and heard more hushed voices. Then they seemed to all agree on something and Tessa said, "Neva woudl you like to be able to protect people? With your ability you can actually help us more then anyone ever has. You would be a secret weapon." she siad and Neva couldnt' believe it. They needed this ability she was cursed with and they seemed to need her. "y-yes I woudl but what about hte blind fold? I hurts when it happens." she said softly and tessa laughed, "we have thought about that and we had a guy similar to you once. But when he used his powers pain shot threw him. So we built osmething for him. it will work perfectly for you." she said and neva coudlnt' help but smil and nod. She could actually help them now. "good, now that that is settled, do you want to have a crash course in fighting and weaponry?" she asked and Neva pulled the blind fold off. Instantly everyone in the room all the infromation flodded into her and it hurt for a little whiel. She then smirked once everyhting stopped and she looked at the girl who was Tessa, "I already had one, now then where is the thing for the pain?" she asked. After a few minutes they suited her up in a black suit and put a pair of goggles on her that had the thing for the pain in it. Tessa then smiled as she set her on a motercycle and Neva studdied a map for a second, "your code name is Shadow, dont talk or speak to anyone. You are to go in and disarm everyone, can you do that for us?" she asked and Neva smiled at her. She looked different now, she looked dangerous and she then nodded, "got it, now then be right back." she then took off ont eh motercycle. She rode it all the way to the chaos and when she got there she smirked and just drove right into the chaos. Once she got far enough into the mess she abandond it and just dove in. She acted like she had done this all her life. she disarmed and knocked out more guys then the others and she moved as if she was a tiger. She knew she passed Alex at one point but she doubted that he would see her. After 30 minuts of her being there she had managed to get to the head of the whoel operation and knocked him out.

Running out of the drop zone, Alex saw gunfire and fighting everywhere. It was on a scale that Academy City had never seen before. It was true, however, that their opponents were wearing nun uniforms. Charging into the main battle, Alex called over to Sandstorm, "What our squad name this time?" "Alpha" came the quick reply. For some reason, the only ranged weapons the targets had were bows. But they were still doing inexplicable amounts of damage. Alex saw a Tank get taken out with a single arrow. Almost like magic. Summoning a Shotgun, Alex kicked down the door to a building and Charged into..... Nothing. The rooms were all empty. Advancing, Alex summoned a sniper rifle, and looked for the biggest threat. Jocko ordered the squad to split up. He, Typhoon, and Klondike were going to find central command. And Alex and Sandstorm were to "Harry the enemy as they best saw fit." Meaning do whatever they thought would work. They got to the top of a building, and were taking potshot at the enemy, when out of nowhere, one of them jumped them. Dropping his weapon, Alex tackled her, and slapped a pair of handcuffs on her. When he turned to retrieve his weapon, He saw Sandstorm looking at him funny. When Alex asked what, All he would say was. "I never thought you'd do that. Spare somebody." Without another word, he returned to shooting. A few minutes later, when they were changing buildings, a person on a motorcycle blew past, racing towards the thickest of the fighting. Alex tried to stop them, but they were gone before he could do much more than shout. When they reached the new building they rode the elevator up, and quickly got to the roof. Alex was about to take out their leader, when he heard a strange gurgle next to him. looking over, he saw one of them had stabbed Sandstorm in the neck. He quickly summoned a sword, and began to fight off the person. Mid way through, however He got stabbed in the gut, then the arm. Just as the person was about to finish him off, their face exploded. Looking over, He saw Sandstorm lying there, holding his pistol. No sooner did Alex thank him, however, then He either died, or passed out. Alex couldn't tell from where he was laying.Reaching up to his shoulder, he hit the panic button, sending an alert with his location to the squad leader. As he blacked out, Alex dimly heard Jocko yelling at him.... He hoped he wasn't in trouble.....

Neva dragged the knocked out man down the building. She had avoided most of the people by going threw the up stairs to get the head guy. She didn't want to have to go threw to many people. But as she headed down the first flight of stairs she saw a guy with his head off and another guy dead. As she looked around she then spotted Alex with a guy who she knew instantly was Jocko and was here to help. But when she looked a closer look at Alex she knew he was in trouble. So she ran over and checked him. His wounds were bad and they needed to get him back before it got worse. She then turned to Jocko, "we need to get him back, can you lift him Jocko?" she asked

Alex felt like he was dreaming. Everything was blurry, and seemed to be moving both in slow motion, and fast forwarded simultaneously. He felt like he was going to be sick, but he couldn't even move. He saw Jocko standing above him. He was shouting something, but Alex couldn't tell what it was. Was he in trouble for something? Then Jocko began to beat on his chest. Why is he trying to hurt me? What did i do wrong? He must have been hallucinating, because not a few seconds later, he thought he saw Neva. Luckily for him, he blacked out when Jocko picked him up. Great time for a nap, he thought.....

Neva nodded when she saw him pick up the guy and grabbed her hostage again. "good, now then we need to get going. If you guys called for help they should be arriving in.. Move to hte side of the walls, NOW." she said and Shoved Jocko to the side along with her hostage. A second later the side of hte building was blown to pieces and some men came in. She looked at them and then heard a helocopter headed there way. After a few seconds they were in the helocopter and all headed back. She watched Alex carefully and could watch as his time grew shorted. By the time they reached the head quaters his time was almost up but they managed to stop it as they rushed him to the Hospital. Tessa came over to Neva once everythignw as done and looked at hte guy Neva dragged with her, "that the guy?" she asked and Neva nodded, "yeah, he was easy." she said as she handed the guy to someone else to take.

Alex woke up in a hospital room. Glancing around, Alex was expecting to be ambushed again, but when he tried to summon something, anything, he just felt sick, and nothing appeared. Shaking his head, he realized where he really was, and sighed. He settled back, and wondered if Neva was okay. Or if Sandstorm had made it.

Neva talked with Tessa and told her what happened. But in the back of her mind she couldn't help but think of alex and hoped that he was okay. Now that she coudl actually look around the world wasn't that bad but it was annoying when her powers were used and that was all the time now. She was just glad she didn't have the pain to go with it. Once Tessa had all the info she needed she smild at neva, "you know your the best agent we have had in a while. We will be calling you from now on for certain missions Shadow." she said and neva nodded as she stood up and then ran out of the room. She ran right down the hall and soon was at Alex's door. She hopped that he was okay and wondered if he would even recognize him in this get up. But she slowly opened the door and smiled when she saw him, "hey, how are you feeling?" she asked.

"Alive, more or less," Alex said with a weak grin. "They've got me medded up right now, so I'm just a wee bit loopy." Alex said swaying back and forth. A nurse came in and said something to Neva quietly in the corner. Something about him and medication, but he was having a hard time focusing. pain maybe? Mentally shrugging, Alex said cheerfully, "Bet your glad you weren't there huh?"

Neva smirked when she heard him and nodded, "yeah I can see that." she said and then looked at teh nurse when she came in. She nodded and guessed that since she had already gained that knowledge from looking at him. she then walked over to him and smiled, "yeah, it is a good thing huh." she said and decided against telling him she was there. She knew that if she did tell him he would get worried. She didn't want that since he needed hte rest. Tessa then poked her head into the room and smiled at them, "hey, how are you feeling?" she asked as she came in and smield at Neva. She was going to say more but the look that Neva gave her told her right away that she didn twant her ot say anything about her being apart of them.

Even though, He was drugged up to the eyeballs, when he saw her walk in, Rage began to fill Alex. It was her. She sent his best friend on a suicide mission. It was her fault that everybody hated him. All because she decided that "they didn't have the proper clearance" to know that the person they were following had underworld military contacts. Getting out of bed he wobbled towards her menacingly, He was determined to rip her throat out with his bare hands, when suddenly the floor seemed to rush up at him, and he blacked out.

Neva frowned when she saw him trying to get up and go over to tessa. She already knew everything sicne she looked at them but if only Alex knew everything he would understand. She walked over to him and gently pulled him to his feet before putting him back into bed. She then looked at Tessa, "have you ever thought of telling him the truth?" she asked as she looked at her and Tessa sighed, "I cant, you know why." she said softly and you could tell she would like too. "why dont you tell him that you work for us now?" she asked and neva sighed, "because he probably wont like it and want me out of this place as soon as possible and I dont want him to worry about me." she said and before Tessa could say anything else her phone went off. After a few minutes she looked at Neva, "your needed for another mission." Neva nodded and then headed out of there to do her new job.

When Alex woke up again, He was alone. the drugs had worn off, and he was thinking clearly now. He groaned as he remembered what he'd done. He hoped he didn't scare Neva. Or even worse, make her angry with him. Sighing, Alex was bothered by something. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, and it was driving him insane. Around lunch he'd figured it out. Neva hadn't been wearing her blindfold. Who'd taken it from her? Alex decided to wait, and ask Neva herself, if she came back.

After about a hour Neva was back and was dragging a few guys behind her. She dropped them on the ground when she got in and then looked at Tessa as she came, "they were easy and I got to them before they could hurt anyone. Some of the captives were a little shaken but they are fine." she siad and Tessa nodded as she picked the guys up. neca then headed out of there and down the hall towards Alex. Word had gotten around that she was the new special agent and most of the people who saw her walking down the hall just stared at her. She didn't care, if they tried to do anything she could hurt them easily. once she got to Alex's room she poked her head inside, "hey, how are you feeling?" she asked as she came inside.
