Neva sighed when she heard him but nodded, "okay, I will tolerate having a 'partner' for you." she said as she looked at him. She understood that he didn't want anything to happen to her but what about him. "but you have to promise me to stay safe and always come back to me." she said as she looked at him.

He bent over and held Neva's hand in both of his. "As long as I have you to come back to, I'll never allow anybody to hurt me." He smiled, then pulled her into a hug. "Never."

Neva smiled when she heard him and wanted to stay in his arms forever. "good, I don't want to lose you." she said as she clung to him slightly. She never wanted him to leave her since he had become the most important person to her.

A nurse cam in and asked him to leave. When she saw how crest fallen Alex was, she said, "Don't worry, If al goes well you two can leave today, and if not, you'll be able to come back in soon." Alex reluctantly left, after about fifteen minutes of cognitive testing, they said she was free to go. Alex packed up all his stuff, and asked, "Do you want to go straight home, or wander around for a bit?"

Neva smiled when she got the clear to go home and slowly got out of bed. Her legs were a little stiff from not using them for a month but she leaned against alex and smiled. "I want to go home, I will be happy there." she said softly as she looked at him.

Alex smiled happily. "Home it is then." On the way home, a few people glared at them. "Everything seems to be back to normal eh?" he said happily to Neva. It was true, but it no longer bothered him, because he now had somebody who cared about him, and that was more than enough for him. When they got home, Alex went into the kitchen, and wondered what to make "do you have a favorite food?" he asked Neva. He felt ashamed, all that time together, and he never bothered to find out what she liked.

Neva smiled at him and nodded, happy to get out of there. ONce they were home she couldn't help but smile and want to go to the couch and curl up. She had forgotten how good it felt to come home. She then followed him to the kitchen and chuckled when she heard him. "well I think pancakes would be nice, I dont remember the last time I had those." she said as she looked at him.

Alex smiled with relief. Now that he had something to work with, he got started. After a few minutes, they were done. He served them up. He felt kind of awkward, but other than that, he was rather happy. After they had finished, Alex sat down on the couch, and began to think about what would happen next.

Neva smiled as she started to eat her pancakes and was happy to be home. Everything felt right in the world and she looked over at Alex. She was glad to be there with him now. Once she was done she sat down on the couch with him but was tired. So she payed down and curled up next to him. Soon she was fast asleep next to him and had a big smile on her face.

Alex smiled, and whispered "Good night, sweet dreams." In Neva's ear. He stroked her head for a bit, then he carefully stood up, so he didn't wake her. He carefully picked her up, and brought her to her bed. He put her in, and whispered good night again. He quietly left, and headed back to the couch. He sat down and called Jocko, he wanted to know what he'd missed. As it turned out, not much. so Alex decided to head on up to bed. As he fell asleep, he smiled, thinking about Neva.

Neva smiled when she felt him pick her up and snuggled close to him before he put her to bed. She then curled up under the sheets and mummbled his name softly. She dreamed of him and her and nothing else. It was the best thing to dream about and she coudltn' help but smile.

The next day, Alex woke up, and snuck downstairs. He checked in on Neva, and saw that she was still asleep. He quickly went out shopping. When he came back, he made sure Neva was still asleep, then went to work baking a cake. He spent the hour that it took waiting on pins and needles, if she woke up....... but then the oven dinged, and the cake was done. Alex spent another half hour making icing, and applying it. all that was left was the finishing touch, He started to write, welcome home on the cake.

Neva slowly woke up and headed down the stairs. She had slept for a while and now just wanted to eat something. But when she passed by alexs room she saw no one inside. It got her a little worried so she called ot, "Alex, where are you?" and then started to head down tothe kitchen to see if he was there.

Alex froze, He was only halfway through, when Neva walked in. He hadn't even had time to get anything set up. He'd barely finished the cake, he sighed, and grinned at her saying, "Well, I'd wanted to surprise you, but oh well. Welcome home Neva" He scooped up a little bit of icing on his finger, and dabbed it onto her nose, "And may you never have to stay away again." he finished with a big smile.

Neva was surprised when she saw the cake and frosting. She couldn't help but smile and chuckled when she felt him put the frosting on her nose. Quickly she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him, "thank you, this is wonderful." she said as she looked at him. She couldn't believe he had done this all for her but she was happy.

Alex smiled and happily kissed her back. He held her in his arms for a few moments, but then released her. After he served up the cake, he said to her, "Today is a day of rest for you." He held up his hand to stop her from arguing, "Doctors orders, however." He grinned, "He never said how restful." He blushed when he realized how what he said could be interpreted, "I didn't mean...... What i meant was........" He shook his head to clear it. "I was going to take you to go see a movie, if thats okay with you?"

Neva smiled as he held her and she smiled as she got a piece of cake. She then listened to him and was going to argue but be stopped her so she just continued to eat. But when she heard him she couldn't help but blush. She then giggled and nodded, "I would love to see a movie... In truth I think I have never actually seen one." she said as she looked at him. She found she couldn't waitto see a movie with him.

Alex grinned and said, "Well you're in for a treat then." While he waited for her to finish her cake, Alex grabbed a quick shower. When he was done, He asked Neva is she was ready to go.

Neva finished up her cake as he went off and then headed to her room. She pulled on some new clothing and then met him down by the door. "all ready." she said as she took his hand gently.

Alex took Neva to see some movie about a couple who met in a psychiatric ward. Alex smiled the whole time. About halfway through, he put his arm around Neva and gave her a big kiss on the side of her face. He would have kissed her again, but he almost spilled their popcorn with the first kiss.

Neva smiled and liked the movie. She had never thought that she would ever get to see a movie. Yet after meting Alex everything changed and she loved it. When she felt his arm go around her she leaned against him and smiled happily when he kissed her. She then looked at him lovingly and kissed him. She loved everything about him and probably always would.

(( after they become pretty close, maybe some organization takes Alex and tampers with his memories. They don't change them much, but they change his fellings about certaing things. I actually got the idea from the hunger games. WHICH reminds me, you're still holding onto one of my books lol))
