We've all seen someone somewhere serenading their loved one. So I'm wondering what song would you want sung to you?

Right now I'd loveee for a boy to sing me 'Her Eyes' by Pat Monahan. Its not to lovey and mushy but its adorable and I can't stop listening to it

I really like Eric Clapton's 'Wonderful Tonight'. It's so beautiful, and if a guy I liked ever sung that to me, I'd probably melt. Haha.

The list is so long... i love all love songs usually, but only slow and no hip=hop.

Phantom of the Opera: All I ask of You, its so sweet... I can't help it, and the chords with the violins and everything make me squee inside.

Elton John: Can You Feel the Love Tonight, he's one of my hot buttons. He makes beautiful music and i love all the schmoop.

Patti Labelle: 2 steps away. once again, the music and chords are so pretty. I have a weakness for musical compositions that have great chords.

Bon Jovi: Livin' on a Prayer
Beatles: Hey Jude

and Lastly, a little guiltily... everyone who knows me knows I'm in love with William Shatner and I'm GOING TO MARRY HIM. so my guilty pleasure is William Shatner's version of Rocket Man.

Amazed. Orginally by lone star but I MUCH prefer Alex Goot's cover.

I'm definitely going to have to say "Heart's a Mess" by Gotye. It makes me swoon. And is highly accurate.

There are a lot of songs that make me melt:

"Brown Sugar" and "Higher" by D'Angelo
"20 Dollar Nosebleed", "Bang the Doldrums", and "What a Catch Donnie" by Fall Out Boy (Patrick's voice...O.M.G.)
"Therapy" by India.Aire
"American Woman" cover by Lenny Kravitz
And many others! :D

Pretty much anything by Fleetwood Mac to be honest. Nicks' voice itself makes me melt and if anyone can even get close to that kind of beauty, I'm totally theirs. It doesn't matter what the song is about, I would totally fall in love with someone if they sang even 'The Chain' to me. Seriously.

Other than FM, I'd love to hear somebody sing some Cure songs to me, like 'Lovesong' or 'Just Like Heaven'.

On a fun note, I sang a ton of songs to my ex-girlfriend. I sang 'The World I Know' down an octave and she said I ruined it, ha ha ha ha.

My boyfriend wrote and recorded a song for me as a surprise so that's number one on my list. However, the song Always Within Me by Winger literally kills me.

Well, if someone were to sing to me 'Only Hope', chances are, I'd melt right on the spot. I've loved that song ever since I heard it a few years ago on Youtube and have loved it ever since. I like both Switchfoot and Mandy Moore's versions, though they have different feelings to them. I might like Switchfoot's version better, but I think I just like the guitar accompaniment a bit better than the piano. I've always seemed to like guitars over everything else. XD

Another song that makes my heart melt is 'Here (in your arms)' by Hellogoodbye. I just heard it a week or so ago and I really can't stop listening to it. I love it so much. It's really sweet and cute... With all the audio-effects, though I think someone singing it would have a different feel, but I think it'd still make me melt nonetheless.

'Far Away', 'Gotta be Somebody', and 'If Everyone Cared' by Nickelback also do the same. They're both so sweet compared to what Nickelback usually sings about. XD Also, strangely or not so strangely, 'I'm Not Dead' by P!nk is also one that I really like in terms of romantic music, but it's certainly more like rock music compared to all the aforementioned songs, except maybe 'Gotta be Somebody', which has quite a bit of rock in it too. ^^;

In a love way, Fleet Foxes' "Your Protector" kind of makes me melt, as you say. The lyrics are simply wonderful, the song is beautiful and there is so much of a story behind me. It is about someone dreaming of their lover:
"As you lay to die, beside my baby, on the morning that you came. Would you wait for me, the only one to wait for me."
The song, to me is one I can only really listen to alone, I often listen to it when I feel down and it reassures me that things are okay, or there are much nicer things in life that what I'm down about. I guess it is to do with love.

Another song, which kind of makes me have that overwhelming feeling of being happy and sad, both at the same time is; "No Surprises" By Radiohead. Again, I listen to it alone, and when I do so I find my eyes burning up- I'm not much a crier, but this song and the previous bring me close to it:
"This is my final farewell, final belly ache with no alarms and no surprises please."
I find the song isn't about death so much, more about saying farewell to something- an old way, an old friend. The video shows Thom Yorke (who is my idol) in a glass tank, slowly filling with water. As he becomes submerged and is nearly going to drown, he lifts his head up out of the water and seems to be relieved. I guess the song reflects me.
