Shouki tries to grab and pull Asher to him when he sees the tears. He didn't mean to cause that...but he should've thought about what he was saying first. But he didn't and that's where he screwed up. What he said is what he's learned over his life. People can only take so much. People can only forgive so much which is why he wouldn't take his parents back even if they wanted him back. Their actions hurt him way too much. He doesn't miss them. There is nothing to miss since apparently his entire life, they were being fake...until they left him that is. "Shit." That's all he can say as Asher runs. He looks around a bit and realizes that....shouldn't Asher's home be the other way. "Shit." He gets up and runs after Asher, trying to catch up....or at least keep him in sight. Main thing he's worried about his Asher ending up in a bad part of town. "Asher?" He calls out as he looks for the other.

Asher knew he wasn't close to his home as he kind of looked around from his spot in the alley way, but he didn't know where he was. He didn't see as many people around like he had when he was out in the market. He moved further into the alley and closer to the wall not really wanting to be seen by anyone else. He would just go home or try to find his way home when he got darker and Shouki would have left the market. He was resting his head on his knees when he heard Shouki's voice. He almost got and went to him, but he stopped himself. He shuffled down the alley as far as he could go, but it was really dark and he didn't like it all that much. He didn't want Shouki to find him after what he had down. He was embarrassed and still upset with himself.

As Shouki can't find him still, and apparently Asher isn't coming out....it makes him feel bad.....he takes off his bandanna thing. His ears are out now, he'll take his chances with what the humans will say. He wants to make sure Asher gets home safe and all. No one around here would actually help Asher if he asked for it....they might hurt him or just leave him alone if he was lucky. "Asher! I'm sorry! Come out already!" He doesn't want to be out in this area at dark.....or anywhere near it so Asher definitely shouldn't be out here when it's dark. He whines a bit as he can't hear or see Asher. What if something had already happened to him?

Asher didn't like the dark and he was feeling pretty anxious about being so far in the alley like he was. He couldn't hear Shouki and he didn't want to come out. Shouki may have been sorry, but Asher still felt bad. "I won't..." He said as he hugged the wall, because that was really all that was there. He really did want to get out of the alley, but he didn't want to face Shouki. He didn't even want to be with himself at the moment he couldn't see why Shouki would want to. He was just burden like he had said before. He knew it must have been true after this stunt he had pulled. "I'm just a burden." Asher told himself as he sat there.

Shouki's ears twitch a bit. Did he just hear something? Or was that his imagination? Either way, he's going to take his chances and check it out. If it's Asher, he needs to get him home. If it's not....well....he'll worry about that when he finds out. So he heads to where he thinks he heard it. "Asher?" He asks, whining a bit, as he looks into the alley. "You down here? You really shouldn't be here this late. It gets dangerous..." And he definitely doesn't want anything bad to happen to the other. So he cautiously starts down the alley, being very aware in case of someone wanting to mug him or something....not that he has anything on him to steal.

Asher puts one of his hands over his mouth as he tries to move further back into the corner of the alley. He knew that Shouki was coming down the alley and he didn't want him to find him and at the same time he did. He scrabbled back and hit something with his hand that was sharp. He let out a cry, but it was muffled because of his hand that was covering his mouth. He was crying now because of the pain rather than for the fact that he was upset with himself. He knew that something had sliced into his hand, but he didn't know what it was in the dark he couldn't really see anything. He just knew it stung and that he was sure it was bleeding a bit.

There's no telling what just cut into Asher considering he's in an alley. "Asher?! Are you alright?!" Screw the be careful part. He starts running...at first he passes Asher before doubling back to him. "What happened?" He's tugging on Asher a bit. Outside of this alley he'll be able to see better....if anything happened. There's not really much he'd be able to do...but then he might be able to get Asher to someone who can do something. He's making a soft whining noise now. He doesn't really want to take Asher home, but it is much better than him being in this area.

"I'm fine..." Asher says softly as he holds his hand. He didn't want Shouki to worry too much and that was exactly what he was doing at the moment. He held his hand close to him not wanting him to touch it because it stung enough the way it was. "I just cut my hand." He said sniffling a bit as he stopped crying. He used the wall trying to get up, but it took him a while to do it. "It's fine, Shouki..." He said turning to look at him though he really couldn't see much in the dark, but he knew that Shouki was worrying. He didn't need to see to know that.

Shouki just tugs him to the end of the alley. It's dangerous in this area, especially at night, but it's worse in an alley. It's hard to see there. Out of the alley, it's easy to see that Shouki took off the bandanna as his ears twitch. "....you're bleeding..." Sure it isn't a lot, but neither of them know what Asher cut it on. Shouki does the only thing he can think of and uses his bandanna for a bandage on Asher's hand. "Come on. Let's get you home." On the way back they see that someone has ransacked Shouki's stall essentially.

It stung a bit when Shouki put his bandanna on his hand as a band aid, but he knew he couldn't just keep bleeding everywhere. Though he was a bit concerned that he was showing his ears openly. "What about your ears?" Asher asked looking down at the ground. Shouki had to still sell things there and if people knew would they still come. "Okay..." He didn't want to go home, but he knew he probably should have. He caused enough trouble for one day, but it made it worse when he saw Shouki's stall. "Oh! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! It's my fault this happened." He said in a panic because he knew that was the only way Shouki made money or at least that's what he saw.

"Don't worry about it. It'll be fine." Hopefully most people out now will just think they're hallucinating or something. And it isn't like he's planning to sell anymore today. Usually he heads back when it starts getting dark anyway. He just guides Asher on home. "Don't worry about that now. It isn't that important." Asher's safety is just a lot more important than his stall and the stuff he left in it. And he might have enough money saved up to replace everything any way. It'll just take time to remake everything. "So don't worry about it. Lets just get you home."

"Are you sure?" Asher asked as he looked down as they walked out of town. He didn't want to be the reason no one would come and look at his things or buy them. That would make him feel horrible about it and he didn't think Shouki would tell him if that would happen. "But that's how you make money. You need that, don't you?" Asher asked. He wanted to know if it would be a problem because Asher would want to help make it right. He would work or just give Shouki the money or what money he could get for him. "I'll try not to..." Though he would worry no matter what Shouki said about it.

"Yeah, I'm sure. It'll be alright." Even if it means he might have to go somewhere else to sell his things. But what happens happens. And Asher is right, Shouki probably wouldn't tell him. Since it wouldn't be a big deal to him. He has to do what he has to do to survive. "Like I said, don't worry about it. I'll take care of it." Somehow. He doesn't want Asher to worry about it. He'll get through it somehow. He always has when bad things have went down against him. He'll just have to do the same thing this time. He lightly hugs Asher. "Don't worry about it."

"Okay" Asher said though he didn't know if he believed that or not. It wasn't that he didn't believe what Shouki said was true. It was just he didn't know if Shouki would tell him if everything. He would want to know if anything went wrong because of him. He did feel like this whole thing was his fault in the end. He was the one. who had ran off in the wrong direction. He would have be roaming around without a clue as to where to go without Shouki there. "How can I not worry about it?" Asher said as he looked down. "I'm the reason this happened." That's what he thought and it was going to take a lot to change that. Asher sighs when Shouki hugs him, but he still knows he will worry about it.

"There are always ways to work around things. Just got to find out those ways." Even if they're inconvenient ways...being inconvenienced is better than starving to death or anything like that. He doesn't see that it's Asher's fault. He's the one that upset Asher bad enough for him to run him off. So this is Shouki's fault in his mind. And he's just trying to make up for it a bit. "It isn't your fault. You didn't just run off for the hell of it or anything..." His ears are flattened back a bit. "I'm sorry about that." He's the reason Asher is hurt.

Asher just nods at him because he doesn't know what else to do. He doesn't know what it takes to run a stall or even to sell things. He just knows what he sees at the market and that isn't much. He doesn't go there often and when he does it's only when he goes with either his parents or to go see Shouki of just recently. "But I shouldn't have just run off. That's not how I'm suppose to deal with things..." Asher says as he looks down. His parents had been telling him that since he was little. It was his idea that once things got too bad to handle that he should run off. His parents had been trying to teach him not to, but apparently it hadn't worked all that well. "It's okay..." Asher says and he means it. He wasn't really all to upset with Shouki, but himself. He had been frustrated with himself for not being able to understand anything.

Shouki just hugs him a bit. "You're not the only one that just runs from the problems. A lot of people do. It's the easiest way to deal with what ever is going on. Avoiding it." In a way, that's what Shouki's parents did. They didn't want to deal with a child who wouldn't develop into a full kitsune even though his blood line was pure. Too bad they didn't wait until later to leave...he might have developed into a full kitsune minus the abandonment. But then again maybe not. "But you still got hurt..." And Shouki is, at least, going to partially blame himself for that.

"But that's not how you deal with things...That's what my parents say. They say I can't run from all my problems." He said looking down still. He didn't like that he ran from things, but it was the only thing he could think of to do. He got frustrated then he get upset and thing began to get worse as they went along. He was just horrible when it came to social things and he knew it. "I got hurt because I was stupid and ran. I hid in a dark alley like a little kid." He knew that was his fault Shouki hadn't cut his hand, but Asher had did that himself. He had hid from him like a little kid and that was all his fault.

"It's how plenty of people do....physical running or metaphorically. Either way they're running." Shouki tilts up Asher's head. "Stop looking down. You aren't the only one that has ever run in their entire life. It can be better option than other things.. Especially if you're getting pissed and get this violent feeling coming up. Then....running isn't such a bad idea. "And why did you run? Me." Because Shouki doesn't think about what he says before it comes out and said something extremely stupid...and probably hurtful. "I'm sorry."

"But I shouldn't run..." It wasn't the right thing to do. He knew that after his parents had told him that plenty of times. He would have to face it sometime and running just put off when he had to face it. "I'm sorry." Asher just liked to look down when he was in situations like this. He didn't know how to handle it his facial features sometimes so he didn't look at people. "I don't get violent..." Though it did seem like good idea to run when that was the situation. "It wasn't you...I got frustrated with myself....I don't understand anything..." Asher said shaking his head trying to look down with his eyes. He didn't really think it was Shouki's fault that he ran.

Shouki whines a bit. He has no clue what to do now. He still thinks it is his fault. It's what he said that set Asher off right? So it's his fault. He just hugs Asher over to him. It's all he can think of to do to try and comfort him. "We'll just get you home and it'll be better, right?" His ears and tail are twitching anxiously. He wishes he could do something to make Asher feel better as he gets him home. "I'm sorry." He nuzzles Asher a bit. What is he saying sorry for? He isn't sure at this point, but he does feel bad about it.

Asher let's himself be hugged by Shouki. He still felt like it was all his fault and none of it was really Shouki's. It seemed to always be his fault rather than anyone else. "I doubt it..." Asher mumbled to himself. Home wasn't really fun, but it was a place to be. His mother was most likely still on the phone with his father. Fight over things and yelling. It was dumb and he didn't like it at all. He would end up laying outside again until his mother yelled out the window. Though it may be different if she say his hand. "Why are you sorry?" Asher says as he looked over at Shouki. He didn't think he had a reason to be sorry.

Shouki keeps up with the whining a bit. He doesn't like how Asher is acting....it just doesn't feel right and makes him want to worry already. But he also has no clue what to do about it either. "Because.....I just am..." About not visiting and the like and that Asher got hurt, because of him in his mind at least. And probably nothing Asher says will change that.

When they get near Asher's house, "Do you know where a first aid kit or anything like that is?" So then they can at least clean out the wound and all, keep it from getting infected hopefully and wrap it up.

Asher didn't like that Shouki was whining like he was, but he didn't know what to do about it. The only thing he could come up with to do was to pat him on the cheek. It wasn't the best thing or the worst, but it was all he could really do. He just looked up at Shouki when he told him his reason. "Okay..." It was the only thing he could think to say so he said it. He didn't think Shouki was a fault here, but only him so he wasn't sure as to what to do.

When Asher began to notice they were getting closer to his house he lowered his head a bit. He knew he needed to go home seeing as how late it was getting, but he didn't want to go home. He truly didn't like it there at the moment. Even though his dad was not there he couldn't help, but feel like he was there ruining things. Asher looked up at Shouki for moment and then shook his head. "My mother has one in the bathroom, but thank you."

Shouki doesn't want to admit that he was avoiding Asher. It makes him feel bad enough admitting it to himself...and it won't help Asher in anyway to know it. It just might make him react the same...or worse than earlier. And Shouki doesn't want that so he'll keep that a secret right now.

Well, Shouki's been effectively dismissed in his mind. His ears are drooping down and his head is kind of bowed a bit. "Okay....then....I'll just go...." Even though he was the one avoiding Asher, he still doesn't want to leave. But it isn't like Asher's mother would be exactly thrilled about him being there, even temporarily and even if it wasn't so late. "I'll see you then..."
