Yes. I personally do believe in ghosts and am very passionate about all things that involve hauntings and paranormal goings on.

I myself have had a few paranormal encounters in my time, and they are utterly surreal. I loved every moment of it. At the time, not so much, but in hindsight I wouldn't change a second of it.

When I was younger, my great-grandfather whom I was very attached to, died. I was only about a year old or so, but when he was in hospital, his heart started failing. From the moment that his heart stopped beating and the nurses and doctors tried to get him breathing again right up until the moment that my uncle phoned my parents to tell them that Rocky had passed, I howled loudly. I didn't stop until the phone call was over. So my parents are led to believe that on his way onto the next plain, be that heaven or his new life, whatever you want to think of it, he stopped by to say goodbye to me before he left. As children are more in tune to that sort of thing, it's not entirely impossible.

My second paranormal encounter occurred at the gates of a cemetery near where I live. My boyfriend, his friend and myself are all very keen on paranormal things, so we decided to drive out there one night. We parked outside and turned the engine off. That was when we heard the crunching of gravel all around the car, and we saw a dark figure standing in the mist that covered the path. There was a thumping on the car and my boyfriend quickly drove out as we were all freaking out. We parked in a truck service station a few miles away and got out to look at the car, and we saw these muddy hand prints all over the window of the boot and all over the paintwork. Not to mention that on the windows, which were steamed up on the inside, had marks and hand prints appear on the outside.

The third encounter still chills me to this day, more because of the history of the place that we went to rather than my own personal experience. The place that we visited (my boyfriend, me and his friend again) is called Boleskine House and is not that far from where we live. We drove out there one night in the dark, and the long windy road shook the car at every bump. As we went into the trees that were near the house, both myself and my boyfriend started to feel really ill. The temperature dropped right down, and this was a very clammy summer night previously, and the light just disappeared. I saw a strange shining at the side of the road, which I like to think was a small animal, but I know probably wasn't. We heard this strange choked laugh as we neared the house, it was horrible. At that point we did a u-turn in a passing place and went back down the road. The demonic presence that emanates from Boleskine is not one that any of us were keen to mess with. However, Boleskine House still really interests me to this day, and I am often found reading about the likes of Mr. Crowley. The house is believed to be a porthole to hell, so if you're interested in that sort of paranormal activity, I do suggest you read up on it. Also, the daughter of Jimmy Page went missing there as far as I'm aware.

I do belive in ghosts. I always have and always will. Especially having a first hand experince with ghosts.
What do i mean?
I once lived in a scary haunted house. Yeah, it may seem a little juvenile, but i know what i saw and saw some pretty crazy stuff. Plus the encounters were even worse some of the other people in the house-hold.
Doors would fly open, clocks would reset themselves, constantly making me late for school.
There was one room in the basement that we always kept locked. I am not sure what happened in that house, but i would like to know. it was an older house, and i was pleasently surprised to not be able to find any information at the library.

Yes. I believe em but I don't think they look like the way people describes them. I think there lots of kinds and their appearance actually vary on the "observer". I am a big conspiracy fan by the way so I believe that some people or some group is hiding these "mystical" secrets from us. Also, the existence of the "immortal energy" within the human body is vaguely explained in eons so I really suspect a cover up. Why does it keep coming up in the human minds for eons if it doesn't exist? Are humans desperate enough to make themselves believe in such? Or are we just that imaginative? Wishful thinking perhaps? I really think someday my questions will be answered.

PuppetGoddess: Funny.....I guess none of the ghosts I've run into/Live with have the 411 on that....

I myself believe in them fully. My house is standing proof they exists! Anyone who spends the night is guarentied to see at least one. We have an old lady, a young boy, and some 25-35 year old guy....He's a creeper who tries to scare everyone, while the kid keep knocking junk down. The old lady? She moves chairs and spices on the rack.....She makes me giggle.

My goodness, I am a very superstitious person. I get a chill down my spine whenever my friends start talking about ghosts. Hell, I'm getting a chill right now. D;

The house that I am currently staying in (where I also grew up until we started moving a lot) is full of "ghosts" too. I researched about the place when my uncles found skulls and vintage bombs when doing a renovation. I found out that the lot used to be some camp during the World War. Honestly...eversince I was a child, I always see glimpses of a hand...just a hand. I can still it until now but I think those "apparitions" are actually something else and I just view it as a hand...so yeah :P

I certainly believe in them. Spirits also. I've never seen a ghost, that i'm aware of, but i have communed with spirits several times, most extensively when i helped one of them cross over. That was the most emotional i've been during an encounter, but none of them have been negative or frightening, though that might be due to the fact i'm familiar with those that i bump into often (I work at a zoo which is in a castles grounds, and of course a castle has its regulars in terms of spiritual activity).

I have a bucket load of stories i could tell, but it would take far to long, and people have frowned upon my mental state a few times, so i'm careful now and only divulge to the genuinly curious or likeminded.

I believe in ghosts. When I was little I always felt a strange presence in the house I grew up. Then one day, while eating dinner at the table with my mom, I saw a female figure in a dress walk into the kitchen. It scared me because my mom was the only one there besides me and she was right in front of me!
Then another day, a year after that, my dad was working an overnight shift and I saw a man in a suit over my bed. Even if my dad was home he NEVER wears suits.
And now, recently, I've become a strong believer in "spiritual abilities" like astral protecting and things like that because my fiancee is able to do such things. And I've been trying to teach myself how to astral project. I can also sence when theres any spirits around me. I always have one with me. I think of it as my spiritual protector.

I spotted the kid last night....He was running across the kitchen floor....Still kinda akward since he won't talk to me.... I mean, it's been years, he should trust me by now...The old lady does!

You sound like my gf. I'm the weird bf for believing in it haha. She doesn't believe in it but when she thinks about it, it does scare her. I have told her my experiences but she's not sure. She believes me but she's not sure if she believes the entire concept. I have a very scientific mind when it comes to the paranormal. The experiences I have had I was able to catch some of them on tape. I did get a ghostly whisper answer some of my questions on a digital recorder but that isn't enough to a lot of people because those who do not know me say I altered it which I didn't. I'm not a techie. :yumeh2:

I asked a question in this house I was at. I asked out loud "If you are here, may I ask you what your favorite color is?"

When I got home, the reply was clear as day: orange. I hadn't heard the little boy answer in person but I surely did on that tape. It was mind blowing.
