Well, I have to get this out. I play Left 4 Dead, both of them, on PC, and for the first one, I was always so accurate in shooting! Especially with my sniper rifles. I could headshot a zombie from one end of the road and on top of a roof with no problem at all, and take out a Witch with no problem.

But then came Left 4 Dead 2, and its melee weapons.

I got so spoiled with the melee weapons, especially the ax and katana, but now when I have a sniper rifle in my hand I miss a shot at least twice before at least getting a body shot! Oh, the humility... It's so terrible to see myself with a sword and decapitating the undead just like that, while standing behind a car I cannot even take off a zombie's leg without wasting three bullets.

So there is my rant. Have you any of your own?

awww, D:

but the katana is so much fun O_O

I'm crazy I have bad accuracy, but out of the shots I do make, I have a high headshot percentage XD

I know, the katana is my favorite one. Oh, and the chainsaw, but it runs out of fuel so quickly.
Although I used to get the highest count in general defense, but with my poor shooting rate now, it's left me as the second or third. And it hardly helps I play with computers because I've got massive social phobia.
But when I do use a gun, I make sure to get the highest headshot percentage I possibly can.

Ive always had good accuracy. 90% of the time Im playing a shooter, I end up using any weapon I get my hands on, and snipe people accross the map. Needless to say, people get PISSED when they get headshoted, in the final killcam on Black Ops, with a Python(revolver) that doesnt even have the ACOG scope on it. xD

I've had that same problem with Sniper in TF2. Before I got the huntsman, I was pretty accurate with rifles. After I started using and getting used to the Huntsman, I had a much higher headshot percent than before I think, but suddenly when I needed a rifle I couldn't hit a fish in a barrel with it. XD

@Drac: I've spent a lot of time with shooter games, and established quite a good accuracy rating, especially in headshots and at a great distance every time. And I've gotten so used to a keypad and mouse, actual controllers are awkward anymore. I knew I should have paced the usage of melee versus long-distance weapons, but I'm an idiot like that.

@Wolfie: It's such a dull feeling, losing that skill you once had! And I just have to scold myself for it because the loss of ability could have been avoided.

I used to melee ALL the time when I played MW2, but when Black Ops came out, and the completely screwed the knifing up, I never knifed anyone...well, unless I had no other choice. But, I could almost ALWAYS kill anyone, no matter where they came at me from, when I used the Riot Shield in MW2. Snipers had a HARD time killing me, and people always had trouble getting me in the back because my friend always hung back just enough not to be seen, but to be able to cover me. xD

WinglessFairy: Oh, I know what you mean there. I'm getting back into the ways of the automatic weapons now, so I'm getting to be a better shot now. Sniper rifles are still my friend. Those, and mounted machine guns despite their restricted movements.

Draciolus: I normally stick with my main L4D games, and never really play with other people because it gets to be too annoying. It did not take long to master the art of the rifles, or even the pistols, which have terrible aim anyway unless you crouch, which leaves you slow and open for a horde attack. It's almost as though my brain is wired to master one thing, then when something new comes along, master that and forget the other thing. There can be no in-between!

I really don't like playing first person shooters because I really suck at playing shooting games so don't worry you are not alone with this. :)
