Eric knew he probably wouldn't get a text back from Zyrone. Eric followed her and when she spoke, he had answered "Why would you think that?" he wanted to make sure before he replied correctly.

Lexi pulled a book off the shelf. "Because you're horrible at hiding it..." She sighed and put the book down before opening it and turning to a page that showed a priestess surrounded by spirits. "Look familiar?" Lexi asked, curious about whether or not he remembered what happened last night.

"Why does that look exactly like something I have seen before" Eric asked looking more closely at the book she had chosen from the shelf. But, she was right, he was never really good at lying let alone covering something up.

Lexi kept her eyes on the picture and found herself light tracing the outlines of the women with two of her fingers. "It's a picture of my mother during a night of war. My brother was the unfortunate one who received this curse." She called it a curse because any half-breed who knew about it would be after him.

Eric listened and watched her "That explains why Zyrone was wanting him" though he just thought maybe then he shouldn't have said that at all. "Uh does he know about this?" Eric asked wondering how much he knew about his own mother.

Lexi blinked and tore her gaze from the picture, now looking at Eric with her piercing red eyes. "Z-Zyrone's after him?!" She wanted an answer but took a deep breath and shook her head. "Nathan knows now but I doubt he'll listen to me." Nathan heard his sister yelling and silently opened his door to where it was cracked slight, he wanted to know what was going on in the living room..and since his room was down the hall they wouldn't be able to tell that he was even listening.

"you know zyrone?" eric asked curiously looking at Lexi wondering why she had gotten so loud.

Lexi covered her face with one of her hands. "Zyrone and I... Have a bad history.." She muttered quietly under her breath but loud enough so Eric could hear her at least. Lexi shook her head and closed the large book.

"Oh, do you not want Nathan around him then?" he asked.

"Well since he probably remembers me, he now knows about Nathan and his bloodline because of whatever happened last night, no; i don't want my little brother around someone who wants to kill him." Lexi replied as she placed the book back onto the bookshelf. "But with you, you're a different story... Nathan really likes you whether you know it or not, he would never admit it though." She sighed softly.

Eric wasn't sure why she said that but spoke up "Do you want me to keep an eye on your brother, away from Zyrone? I was originally doing that eitherway" he mumbled the last part.

Nathan's ears twitched and he closed the door silently. "What?" Lexi looked up before glancing at him. She wasn't sure she trusted him that much. "Before I give you an answer I want to know what you honestly think about him." If he lied or gave the wrong answer, her response would be no.

Eric looked at her listening but when she spoke the second time he heard her speak he said nothing "I think of him as someone I need to protect from my own kind. And possibly as a friend, why?" he wasn't sure why she asked that though when he spoke it wasn't a lie and it was a slower answer of trying to explain because even he had yet to figure anything out.

She listened and smirked lightly. "Because I'm his older sister and his only living family member to protect him from getting hurt." Lexi replied. "...and yes, it would be nice if you could keep an eye on him if you didn't mind."

"Okay, would I be able to talk to him right now?" Eric really just wanted to hang out and talk with him, like a normal person would act towards a friend.

She nodded and went back to what she was doing before he came. "He's in his room." Nathan was sitting on his bed reading an old book about monks, priests, and priestess of Japan.

Knocking slightly on the door "can i come in?" eric asked.

Nathan jumped fell off his bed and landing face first onto the floor, the book landing on top of his head. "Y-yeah, come on in..." He answered as regained himself.

"You okay I heard a thump?" Eric spoke closing the door behind him so that they could hang out, he sat on the floor against the wall.

Nathan slowly sat on his bum and caught the book when it fell. "Yep, I'm totally fine." He rubbed his head. That didn't hurt one bit... He thought seriously. "So, how's your day been so far?"

"Eh its okay, school is over for us for a bit" guess it gives him a day or so a break. "What about you?" Eric wasn't sure what he could say about what his sister spoke of but ignored it, just hanging with this kid was better than his own kind.

Nathan closed his book after marking the page and scratched his head. "It's been long... It feels like a whole day's gone by but it's still only the afternoon if that." He slowly stood and sat on his bed, chuckling lightly.

"hey do ya want to become friends?" like actual friends who chat and hang out each day, not just to protect, it would give him a reason to do something. though it was odd saying it of course.

Nathan shrugged. "I don't see why not." He put the book down.

"so was there anything you wanted to do today?" he was wondering, he didn't even understand what the kid liked to do and why did he keep considering him a kid? (nite)
