"Spirit? What spirit...?" Zyrone asked. He shook his head. "Never mind about that, where's the kid?"

~Nathan!~ Ariel called when she lost track of him. ~Where are you?~ Nathan skid to a stop when the fog got thicker. An angry tree extended its vines and wrapped them tightly around the boy. He cried out.

(you know, kinda like the tree in the harry potter movie)

"I don't know, off with some friend" Eric spoke and then heard a scream from far away, being a vampire meant heightened senses. "Did you hear that?" Eric asked turning in the direction it came from and without a word he was gone after that speeding off down the street.

Zyrone looked up and followed him when he took off.

~Nathan!~ She called again as she hovered around. Nathan was out cold and wrapped up like inside of a cocoon.

Eric raced to where he heard the voice. His human heart was beating rapidly, if he wasn't a vampire he wouldn't be able to hear anything, but, his own heart. He had fear shooting throughout him as he was unsure what was going on and what happened to Nathan or what 'would' happen to Nathan.

Ariel saw Eric and came to a halt, looking at him kind of scared since Nathan was missing and Ariel didn't know this boy but she had a feeling he knew her friend. ~A-are you looking for Nathan...?~ She asked him so he could hear her. ~I-I can't find him... H-he was here a-and now he's not.~ Ariel looked at the ground and twirled her thumbs. She didn't know what to do.

"Where was he last?" Eric asked scanning the place, he wouldn't know where to start really. He really wasn't too kean on thinking at this moment, he would just do whatever he would need to do if anything came down to it. But, even he didn't know what that would be until it happened.

~A-at the river...~ She answered nervously. ~We were asking it to find my father then it got all foggy and we ran but I lost site of him...~ Ariel added to her answer.

"Zyrone still there?" Eric asked wondering if Zyrone caught up or not but didn't wait for an answer as he took off towards the water and looked around seeing...

Zyrone was lost.. Ariel followed him and hovered next to him when they reached the water. Around the river was fog that was thicker than a rain cloud and Nathan was nowhere to be found.

Eric didn't exactly know what to do once he got there, he could hear the water of the lake slowly moving but couldn't sense anything. Looking around he was able to focus a bit on some shadows but couldn't be sure what they were. Eric had no choice, it was time for his vampric side to rise up, most half vampires chose not to use their vampric sides because it could be difficult to change back.

Eric said to Ariel "Be safe and stay back if you can" Eric's eyes then change almost to blood red, it was a bit darker than blood red, his nails became a tad bit sharper almost like claws, and his skin became a bit more pale. It was a good thing he was wearing his amulet though in this fog, it wouldn't really matter. He started to walk forward following Nathan's scent as it led him close and now it was more alluring than ever.

Ariel gave a simple nod and had herself land in the water. For some unknown reason she felt safe in water, though it came up to her chest pretty much. Nathan was still out cold and in the grip of the evil tree.

(Am I suppose to see this tree through the fog?)

Eric looked seeing the tree and Nathan within its vines, "The hell? is this like the wopping willow?" Eric was seriously confused by this now and looked around then dashed to the tree unsure yet what to do. He had to get Nathan out of the grasp.

The tree 'sensed' him and lifted its vines to attack him. Nathan's ears twitched slightly and he slowly came to but nonetheless he couldn't see a thing because he was more than half out of it.

Ariel looked up when she saw Zyrone and figured he was with Eric and pointed in the direction the other boy went. "Much thanks little girl." He spoke and went in the direction she pointed.

Eric tried dodging the root but was thrown off to the side slamming into the ground "Stupid tree stupid..." he didn't finish it as he attacked the tree trying to free Nathan. Eric had a slight moment when he sighed and confirmed he knew what to do next.

"You can sense me, but, can you sense this" Eric yelled and started attacking the tree giving himself more time to build up the energy, he could only do this once a day and it always took a lot of him. Thats why he preferred not to do it and let bygons be bygons. He attacked finally grabbing a stream of lighting in his hand and threw it at the tree but it seemed that didn't come close to effecting the tree. Landing down on his feet, he fell to one knee "Damnit, Nathan what have you gotten into"

The tree could tell how much effort Eric was putting into his attacks and decided to just release the cat boy who fell on his bum. Nathan instantly came to when he landed on his tail but didn't flinch or anything, he was well used to falling on his tail by now. "Eric?" He asked before looking at the tree and his ears went down. "I have explaining to do don't I...?" His voice was low but almost completely calm. Ariel soon came up to the two boys and bowed before hovering next to her friend.

"Yea you kinda do, but, we'll discuss it later" Eric spoke a tad annoyed, he still had that look in his eyes, it was slowly fading but somewhat dangerous to be around. Eric helped up Nathan but as soon as their hands had touched, Eric pulled away "Zyrone, take him home" Eric replied walking away with vampric speed really fast so that he could get away. He shouldn't have turned his senses on so soon if the tree would've wound up realising the boy that easily. What was the meaning behind that if he didn't need to use them.

Zyrone was standing behind the kids now and nodded. "Gotcha." He spoke before Eric took off. Nathan's ears still down, but this time they were down 'cause he felt bad.. Zyrone placed a hand on his shoulder. "C'mon kid, you know it's not safe here." Nathan looked up at him and gave a small nod. Ariel bowed really low. ~Most of this was my fault... I'm sorry for causing so much trouble...~ She said softly. Zyrone simply shook his head before picking up Nathan as a piggy back. "Don't be. It happens.. Just don't let it happen again." He said before running back to Nathan's house.

Eric hadn't went his house let alone near the graveyard by Nathan's house. He had to do something besides stay in town so he ran out of it, he was wanting to know more about Nathan but now he just needed to forget him and everything else around as he went out towards the lake a couple miles away. He figured it was abandoned and would stay there for the night. It would be better than being questioned at home, or being around someone that he could harm.

Zyrone reached Nathan's house and was greeted by Lexi opening the door. "Put him down then go home, it's late. Thanks for bringing him home though Zyrone." She kissed him on the cheek. Zyrone put Nathan down and he immediately went to his room. Zyrone had a light smirk as he closed the door and headed somewhere in town.

The night would be annoying to get over with, he hadn't a snack near, he could get one but he chose not to as he closed his eyes and went to sleep. Wether it was the next day or wether it was several days later he didn't know when he woke up. It felt a little bit colder outside and even now it wasn't too much of a bother to him.

Nathan laid on his bed when he woke up, not planning on moving anytime soon. Lexi knocked on the door lightly. "Nathan c'mon, it's been 3 days you idiot... How long do you plan to stay in there?" He didn't answer. Instead he shifted into a pitch black kitten and curled up in tight ball.

Eric hadn't cared for the time that went by, he was slowly returning to normal. He was also very hungry, he had to go out somewhere, to find a snack. Maybe he will go to a rave, best places besides random parties at bars and dances. Eric left, he could hear a bunch of kids not too far off and eventually was able to find a country party with a ton of people. He would go after someone after talking to one of them, whichever would hate their life the most, that would be easiest or maybe the popular girls that wanted it all but didn't have enough.

Lexi sighed as she gave up and went to call Zyrone who picked up quickly. "Hello?" He asked. "Zy get down here and help me, Nathan won't come out of his room and it's been 3 days." She said with a hint of worry. He sighed and closed his phone, appearing before her door in a matter of seconds. Lexi opened the door and let him in. "His room's down the hall." Zyrone gave a small nod and walked to his room, knocking on his door. "Come out of there, it's not good to stay cooped up in your room kid. I am not afraid to knock your door down..." He stated. Nathan perked his ears and looked at the door and hissed. Zyrone blinked a few times. "He just hissed at me... You little rat! That's it, I'm coming in." Nathan hid under the cover with his head peeking out. "Zyrone calm down, he's just a kid." Lexi said as she came up beside him.
