Nathans ears went down. "I didn't wander off... I was.. trying to help a friend.." He said in a small voice, looking at the floor with a distant gaze. "Four days you were gone... I was really worried about you Eric..." Nathan added, bringing his knees up to hug them.

Eric sighed sitting next to Nathan hugging him "I'm sorry, if I didn't leave you could've gotten hurt and I would've came back the next day but with blood rage, you can't really tell how long you would be out for. I am not making excuses, I'm just saying...I dont know what I'm saying actually." Eric shut up in talking, now that he was back, he wasn't sure what to say let alone what anyone else would think.

"I kinda understand what you're saying..." Nathan glanced up at him. He was blushing but you couldn't hardly tell since Eric hugged him suddenly. "Don't worry about it too much or you'll give yourself a headache." He said, his tail swaying back and forth.

Eric pulled away "Why were you worried about me in the first place? We barely know anything about eachother, we met out of concidence" Eric stated looking at him wondering what his reply would be. He wasn't a telepath so reading minds was out of the question.

"I don't know, because it was my fault maybe? Don't say it wasn't, I remember fully what happened that night..." Nathan went to sit on his bed. "I'm always getting to trouble.. and yet somehow you're there to pull me out." His ears lowered again as he stared at the carpet. "Neither one of us no much about the other... yet you know when I'm in trouble and I worry about you. I know I'm a brat... But I'm a brat in love with a vampire because he keeps saving my tail." He blinked several times before replaying what he just said and covered his big mouth, face completely red after venting. 'Oh shit... I just admitted it.. to him...'

Eric sat there, listening to everything that Nathan was saying and was surprised at his last few words. Standing up, taking a step back, he looked at him unsure of how to respond. He understood people fell in love with others, even different races at times, however, they knew eachother for about a week and now Nathan was saying this. Letting this sink in while sorting his thoughts as quickly as possible he stated "Well, even though I want to respond back the way you would want me to, I can't say I have the same feelings" he was lying to himself about that part but had yet to realize it himself.

"Nathan, its not that easy for me to reply back, this world isn't a fairy tale when it comes to love" he wasn't too sure on how quick people could love. However, Eric never wanted to be loved, he knew what it was like, yet, he never really experienced it. He had missed Nathan when he left, he protected him each time, and he even felt as if he had butterflies in his stomach. Not reading the signs left behind, he wasn't thinking clearly as he sighed sitting on the floor. "I want to say it back, but, I dont want to say it if I dont mean it"

Still red, he slowly uncovered his mouth. "I don't know why I said it.. you weren't supposed to hear that..." He said quietly. Nathan sighed a little and shook his head. "On the other hand you're safe and I'm safe, that's what matters." He smirked lightly, resting his head on one of his knees.

"Its not a bad thing, at least now I understand how you feel" that was a plus, most of the time he saw the facial expressions of the kid but wasn't able to pick up on it very much. (dont kill me, gonna do like a time skip here) A few months went by, Eric continued to hang out with Nathan calling him Nate most of the time. Yet, Eric still continued to see Alcide, it wasn't a bad thing since Nathan and Eric weren't going out and the subject hadn't been brought up yet. Eric was talking to Nathan in his room like a few months ago as if nothing was happening that needed to be spoken of.

They had started talking about schooling, friends, more about whatever they could think of while ignoring the bad things. They had their share of awkward moments, like the time Eric stood by the door in Nathan's room and when Nate's sister came in opening the door, Eric went forward falling ontop of Nathan making it look like there was something more to it no matter how much they tried to say there wasn't anything going on.

Lexi couldn't help but to laugh at the two's reaction and shake her head. "You boys are so funny you know that? Well anyway, I'm making lunch if you boys are hungry." She smirked lightly, flickering her eyes to her brother. Nathan was red.

Eric stood up helping up Nathan "She sure has her timing huh?" Eric chuckled a bit and turned towards the door "Come on, lets go eat" he stated looking towards Nathan.

Lexi was back in the kitchen setting to table. Nathan nodded. "Yes lets." He smirked and walked out of the room first, sniffing the air. "It smells good sis." She nodded. "I would hope so."

"What have you made this time?" Eric asked being nice wondering, he had eaten over plenty of times when he wasn't working with Alcide or at school. Luckily he was out of homeschooling and that gave him more time to do things by himself or with Alcide early sometimes.

Lexi giggled and shook her head. "You'll have to guess." She winked playfully. Nathan mumbled and took a seat at the table. 'She's acting weird today.. never seen her so un-serious?' He thought to himself in question.

Eric sat down thinking how Lexi seemed to be in such a good mood right now and said "You're in a good mood today Lexi" stating and looked at the way she was moving about. "anything happen?"

Lexi giggled again but shook her head. "Nope~" She said as she finished setting the table. "Have a seat, lunch is served." Nathan waited for everyone else to sit. He was dazed by his sisters all-too-happy-attitude.

Eric shrugged, his phone then went off as he looked at it quickly but not secretly, it was a text from Alcide, he wanted to meet the young boy that Eric chose to spend most of his time with outside of school. Putting it away he ignored the thought, maybe later they would go and meet up with him. It would be interesting, however, he would have to keep an eye on Nathan.

Lexi was just glad Nathan was acting more his age, sometimes still childish, but for the most part 17. Though it surprised her that he wasn't off looking for trouble in the few months that passed. 'Maybe he changed for the better...' Lexi thought to herself. After everyone was seated they started eating.

Eric kept his cell put away, he didn't want to bring anything up around Lexi and he didn't want to put her on the spot. "Nate, hows school been?" it had been a habit to call Nathan by his nickname for quite some time now.

Nathan blinked a few times and his tail swished around a little. "F-fine.." He answered quietly.

"Hey Nate, how about this weekend we go to the carnival? Lexi and Zyrone can come to if they wish" he had been trying to get the four of them to hang for awhile, he could watch over Nathan while Nate's sister can talk with Zyrone.

"This weekend?" Lexi asked, popping her head out of the kitchen before joining the boys at the table. "I can't, I mean Zyrone and I have plans this weekend..." She said kind of disappointed that the carnival was in town and she couldn't go with her boyfriend nor her brother. Nathan ate his lunch quietly. 'That explains why she's so happy...' He thought to himself.

"Oh, well would you mind if Nate and I went?" he could keep an eye on him and lately these past few months with Alcide have been quite boring lately. 'I wonder what she planned on doing and wonder whats gonna happen' he smiled a bit at the thought.

She smiled. "I think that would be a very good idea." Lexi answered. When Nathan finished his lunch he sat back in his chair and smirked lightly. "Sounds like fun."

Eric normally had a small portion of lunch from Lexi, she would know that being half vampire he didn't like regular food too much unless it was meat. Today was Wednesday, so that had a few days until then. He smiled at the thought that they both could hang out without being bugged by Lexi or Zyrone. Eric cleaned up after they were all done without letting Lexi argue about him doing so. "Thanks for the lunch, it was good Lexi. Nate, what do you want to do now?"

Nathan thought about the answer before speaking. "We could go to the museum?" He asked more so then answered. "Today they're having a new arrival, I don't know what it is though.. it sounded interesting... When I heard about it in the market."
