Kazura here. Kaz, Kazu, you may call me whatever nickname you can come up with from my username.
I'm an aspiring writer, a little obsessed with grammar and spelling, though I still have much to learn. No worries though, as I won't bite others just because of their grammar and spelling. I tend to keep most of my thoughts concerning that matter to myself.
I write fan fiction sometimes, and I am interested in roleplaying for a while. I have lost my muses though, so that's a bit of a problem for now.
Animé? Not so much these days. I do adore shrunken detectives though. Manga? Same, though I do try to catch up every once in a while. Video games? ...Let's just say I'm into Disgaea too much. As for books, I'm into ones with dashes of mythology and large helpings of teenage protagonists. No young adult books for me until a few more months, I'm afraid. A little... cautious.
As for my personality, I'm cheerful, most of the time. Capable of sarcasm, but I'm trying to mellow that part down. I would certainly like to make new friends, though I have a few problems with taking the initiative to do so. This is a not-so-social person trying to be social, with limited success.
Well, I suppose that's it for now. So much for an ending statement. Hee~

You're a fan of Disgaea? Marry me 0.0
Sorry, I've just never met another fan before XD
And welcome to Mene, Kaz. Reading your intro, we seem to have a lot in common. It's like you're a younger version of me XD

Indeed! I've been obsessed over that series ever since I discovered its existence!
I know what you mean. A little disappointing that I encounter a few fans of the series, though I partially blame my anti-social tendencies at times.
Thank you! Is that so? Certainly interesting!

Do you have all the games? Disgaea 3 is actually the reason I bought a PS3. If it wasn't for that game, I would've gotten an XBOX instead XD
And I recently heard there's a fourth one coming out.
Yes, we're very much alike. We're both aspiring writers, like fantasy and mythology, I've also written a couple of fanfics and done a bit of roleplaying and we're both cheery anti-socials.

Unfortunately, I don't. I am only able to play the game thanks to my cousins, much to my dismay. I intend to get all of them though, if I ever get the chance. My wallet's a bit too light for my liking at the moment. Disgaea 3's nice, but Disgaea 4's certainly a blast! High-resolution sprites, huge monsters, huge magi-change weapons and so much more! The characters are not bad, too. Quite fond of he main character, though I still adore Laharl to bits. He's a vampire, but he acts similar to Lelouch of Code Geass. Hee... Here I go again. Hoo boy. Somebody please stop me before I tattle about all the characters.
If that's the case, then we truly are very much alike! A little relieved, for some reason. XD

Wait! You mean it's already out?! How did I not know this? TT-TT
It'll still probably be months until it comes out here though. We're usually the last place to get games unless it's one of those really big names like Mass Effect or Dragon Age. Sadly, Disgaea is not a big name so I'll have to wait a while for it.
I know what you mean. It is always a relief to meet someone as odd as yourself XD

Ah, so sorry. I usually give that impression whenever I speak of it. That the game's out, I mean. Well, it's out in Japan since... February 24, if memory serves, but I believe NISA will release it some time in September.
I often wonder about Disgaea's standing. I mean, how could people not know about it? It's one of the most hilarious games I've ever played, if not the most hilarious, and yet it still manages to have such depths that could make you shiver or cry or something along those lines. The gameplay is also excellent, though I'm a little disappointed at the fact that they remove certain classes at every release. The cameos are nice as well, though the timeline can seem to be a little off, especially with what they did in Disgaea Infinite. Mao and Beryl in Laharl's Netherworld, and they still act like they don't know one another in Disgaea 3.
...Whoops. Got a little carried away again.
Exactly. Hee... XD

Oh, I see. Then it'll probably be out here early next year.
Exactly! I laughed in the scenes with Vyers and my heart strings were tugged whenever Laharl mentioned his mother. It has some interesting plot twists as well and the characters...how can you not love them? I believe one of the things that turns people off to it is its anime art style. Anime just isn't popualr in some places and is unheard of, such places as my country. Hell, my whole continent. And I've also met people before who hate all things anime and who would never go near anything like Disgaea because of that. It's a daft reason not to play a game but there are people like that. Also, there's the gameplay itself. The sprite-puzzle-leve up type games just aren't that popular when it comes to consoles such as the Playstation. Most people these days only go for the aformentioned Mass Effect and Dragon Age type games, games with realitic graphics and lots of blood.

The tale about Laharl's mother gets me shaken up every time. The last part of that chapter, especially. And Vyers is "adorkable". Very interesting plot twists, though the transition from the dramatic chapter that is "Reincarnation" to Captain Gordon Defender of Earth makes me cringe a little. It was like some attempt to cheer you up after experiencing something very heart-wrenching. Don't get me wrong though. I am fond of the DoE. Lovely Seraph, I'm fond of all the characters, though Archangel Vulcanus gets in my nerves sometimes. Same with the sequels.
I did read someone's comment about the game though. Apparently, that person hasn't tried Disgaea yet and assumed that the game was just a silly game that involves breaking the fourth wall and all that. I guess some people assume about the game's plot just like that. Nothing but a silly, uninteresting story. The art's one thing, too, I guess. Aside from having an art style like that of animé, some characters can be a little too thin. (And here, I stare at Valvatorez, Fuka, Mao and Laharl.) Though honestly, I adore Harada-sensei's art.
I'm quite fond of strategy rpg, so I'm a little disappointed that most of the people I know personally would rather engage in button-mashing games instead. I have nothing against those games, but it would be nice if they actually tried something else for a change.
