now that is a badass look his hair outfit ect looks very nice now lets take a look at the NEW dante they are doing called the DMC Reboot otherwise known as the DMC fail.
THIS dante looks HORRIBLE i mean look at him
he looks so emo his face is fucked up and his outfit is not the same... WTF are they thinking for god sakes why change a good thing? dante used to look badass in this reboot they are doing is just pissing me off and millions of other Devil May Cry Fans, I don't even want to see what they are planning on doing to vergil -_-
anyway that was my rant go ahead and post what you think of this horrible monstracity they call the Devil May Cry Reboot.
I say we kick-start this conversation by saying "if you want to debate on how bad Dante is, I suggest you learn your punctuation beforehand. So as everyone reading can understand your point better without having to guess where one sentence ends and where another begins."
Now, on to the actual topic. What I have to say is probably going to leave a sting though, not because it is an insult, but because it's probably going to make things seem worse. So here it is: this is not a new Dante. This game is not a reboot. This is Ninja Theory making a game from before even Devil May Cry 3. So it's the same Dante, just before he touched upon his potential demonic, badass, essence. Oh yes, but that doesn't stop the ranting. I'm pretty sure nothing will, in fact. But it's going to happen. And just because it does, are you going to abandon this younger version of the Dante you knew and loved? Or are you going to push passed it, stick with him, and see if Ninja Theory has truly fucked up this epic person, or if this rebellious Dante can actually compare to the criteria that supposedly fit what you once knew?
Regardless of what he looks like, I think Dante will be much better by the end of this game. Probably sporting his white hair again. If you've seen the newest trailer for it, this new DT just makes Dante's hair turn white and his sword change to look like the Rebellion before it was awakened in DMC3.
If you haven't, or are someone else viewing this thread and still haven't...I present to you: the E3 trailer of Devil may Cry (DmC)
If you can't get over the look of Dante, then focus on the demon killing going on and the music in the background. Honestly, I like the music. :XD
Ah, going on youtube, and see everyone freak out over how Dante looks (admittedly, even I don't like him here; not my sort of taste), but as it's been stated, this is supposed to be an origin story. So it's natural he would different.
@EE: Hadn't seen this trailer yet, so thanks for sharing it! The game actually looks fun, and I would play it! Although, haven't played a DMC game since the first one (I feel old), so it'd be hard to get into it again, but still. It looks fun despite what the fanboys/fangirls might be saying.
Thank you for your two cents, it was very welcome to see a person who's still open to DMC (even if they haven't been into the series for a long while :XD)
In all fairness, if you haven't played a DMC since the first one, you've already missed out on a TON of gameplay development, nevermind plot.
It's an origin story, which means it can be hit or miss. I'm not too concerned about it. Besides, the gameplay is what always counts in these games, since you do about 10 times more demon slaying than watching cutscenes.
I'm just curious how many series characters they're going to try to shoehorn in as cameos.
@Saisei: Very true. I haven't had any access to the new games, since our PS2 was stolen and we didn't have enough money to buy a new one, let alone any games. However, I did get my paws on DMC3 I believe (that was the one with Lady right?), and it was real fun. I could always cop out, and just read on Wiki some of the facts, but of course it won't be the same.
However, I'd still love to play DMC4, or the reboot. Either would be as good.
