[[ hahah alrighty ^^ ]]

Jack pursed his lips and sighed lightly. "One hour, hm," he started to say. Then he realized that he still had the ticket receipt. He held out the admission proof and handed Jun one of the versions. "Let's make it count, then, shall we?" he added with a grin. Being around Jun made him feel especially animated and worth-while. He offered his arm out to Jun and turned towards the grand fair entrance.

Jun nodded and smiled brightly as she took the slip he handed to her. "Definitely." She put her arm around his and walked with him.

Jack was happy to be able to walk through the entrance as he showed his own admittance to one of the ticket-booth runners. He put it back in his pocket where he knew it would be safe. He slowed his pace to a halt once he had gotten Jun and himself away from the majority of the crowd that arrived around the same time. Jack looked up at the lights which he knew would begin to glow apart from the soon-to-be fading sun and a distant smile crept onto his face. "What shall we do first?"

Jun showed her as well and put it where she knew it was safe. Jun looked around then turned her attention to Jack and smiled. "What would you like to do?"

Jack smiled back towards Jun and then looked around himself for a moment. He spent that brief second getting his bearings of the busy fair. Jack had been to the same fair sometime in his small moments of freedom at various points in the year. He knew the layout pretty well and it usually only took the first few seconds of his stay to see where he was in relation to the big grid. Then, his attention was drawn by an unseen fixed point somewhere far off in the distance. Jack looked back up at the sky and pointed towards the sun with his free hand. "When the sun's gone, we can go someplace special," he started to say, before he changed focus-points and gestured towards one of the carnival-game booths. "We can win some trinkets in the meantime, if you want" he added warmly.

"When the sun's gone, we can go someplace special-" Jun couldn't help but turn pink then shakes off the thought. 'Not the same as the movies... Curse you television~!' She smiled. "Sure~" Jun chimed with glee. 'Besides, I can't go thinking things like that on my first date with Jack! >///<' Jun followed him towards the booth he gestured towards.

Jack laughed lightly and lead Jun over to the square-like stand. There were different mini-games that all had assorted prizes, but one of the small, stuffed bears caught his eye the most around some ring-toss game that had little ducks floating in the water in a pool at the center of the stand. The bear was a chocolate brown and seemed to be made of velvet. Jack smirked and stopped in front of it. He wanted to be able to get it for Jun. "Wanna play?" he asked curiously.

She blinked tilted her head a little. "How do you play?" Jun asked, instantly feeling like an idiot but hey- it wasn't her fault she only came to the fair as a kid, so she honestly didn't the slightest idea how most of these booth game worked.

Jack grinned and let go of Jun's arm. He stepped forwards and laid out a bill to play a round of ring-tosses. The instructor practically read off the rules of how to play as if he had said them a million times before handing Jack two sets of little rings, one of which he set aside on the small wooden counter for Jun. "All you have to do is get a ring around one of the ducks." the booth-manager explained. Jack turned to face Jun and smirked. "They'll flip over way too easily and the rings usually fall off if your toss isn't perfect," Jack re-phrased simply before stopping himself so he didn't rant about every flaw in the game that made the company money off of its players. "It's not impossible, though," he added as he pointed out one of the rings that had made it around a duck in a previous round.

Jun blinked as she listened then looked at the ducky with rigs around it. She looked at the boys and nodded. "I'd like to give it a try." She smiled sweetly.

Jack grinned brightly when he noticed Jun taking interest in the small game, even if it was that minor. "Here," he suggested. He quickly picked up the second set of rings and handed them politely to Jun, keeping his own set creatively hung around his wrist. The instructor snickered to himself and muttered something about luck and returning after 'another round of failure' was over. Jack took a breath and turned to face the decorated pool of little ducks that sat a few feet away. "Good luck, Jun," he said warmly.

Jun narrowed her eyes a little when she heard the instructor snicker then let it go, considering the fact that the game wasn't easy. The first two rings missed by a little. Jun stared at a duck and tried throwing the last ring not so hard and actually got it around the duck but it tipped over. Jun sighed. 'Stupid duckie...' She thought to herself as she semi-pouted.

Jack reached out to Jun and hugged her close when the last ring made it around the duck and tipped over. He embraced her for a moment and then grinned. "That was amazing," he reassured her. "On my first try I missed every ring except for one which nearly knocked the duck out of the water I threw it so hard." Jack waited a few seconds before letting Jun go and turning towards the ducks. "I've learned that, since only one ring counts, you have to use the other ones as planners. The first one is for spatial calibration-" With that, he tossed one ring out clear through the sky so that it missed every single duck and landed in the water far away. The water splashed and one of the ducks even tipped over from the wave. "Then, if they're moving like now, use the second one for timing." He tossed his second ring with accuracy towards a duck that floated a little to the side and missed it only by timing. "Then, the third one is where you put magic together. It has to be a light toss not to flip any duck and it needs to be just right so that it lands on top of it on time so that there's very little torque and turn from your throw." Jack threw the last ring out and it landed just right on top of one of the ducks, almost tipping it but still remaining upright. The booth instructor came back in with wide eyes and looked at Jack. "The velvet-brown teddy bear up there, please," he requested as he pointed a finger out to the adorable stuffed creature. Jack set another bill down on the counter and accepted the prize. "I want one more set of rings." The instructor handed him a set of rings for the money and Jack immediately gave both the adorable teddy and the rings to Jun with a smile. "This is for you~ Wanna try it one more time?"

She blushed when he embraced her. Jun then listened and watched Jack's performance closely and carefully. "Teddy?" She blinked and gazed at the velvet-brown teddy bear and hugged it tight like a little girl. "Thank you so much~!" Jun giggled and smiled the most adorable smile on the face of Earth then carefully took a hold of the rings and kissed Jack's cheek for the teddy before turning toward the pool of duckies. She did almost exactly what Jack did and got the last ring around the duck without it even tipping. She blinked a few times then grinned with a since of accomplishment.

[[ xwx same, do you ever make them at home? ]]

Jack smiled when he felt Jun kiss him on the cheek. A dull shade of pink tinted his face, mainly under his eyes. Jack was surprised to see Jun take such quick steps in becoming a pro at a brand new carnival game. The booth instructor was just as taken back, too. He was probably between twenty five and thirty five in age and the frustration showed in his body language when he ran his hand through his slightly nappy gold-brown hair. It was obvious in his face that those brown eyes had faced failure at their own game countless times before. "Pick your prize," he muttered. Jack ignored the entire thing and simply clapped in satisfaction. "Jun, you're a natural!" he exclaimed. A small twinkle appeared in his face that could only be traced back to his years where life actually mattered.

[[ Hah~ I wish T^T ]]

Jun was still grinning. 'And that's putting a whole new meaning to the phrase "watch and learn"~' She thought then glanced at the booth and at a little white bunny key chain on the second shelf. "I'd like the little bunny key chain please sir." Jun said softly, she was a little embarrassed but it was sooo cute she couldn't bare it.

[[ awh, howcome? ; x; ]]

Jack closed his eyes peacefully for a moment and sighed casually at the bunny key chain. He was pleased with himself to be able to say that he could put a smile on Jun's face. While he was mostly over the entire suicide-incident, Jack usually couldn't resist the shocking images of the occasion replay themselves out in his mind. His vision might as well have been better than perfect at that one moment in his life where he noticed a strange shadow on the ground and found out that it was connected to a girl... Jack opened his eyes and faced Jun again. The booth instructor had gotten the key chain and handed it to Jun by that time- a look was smeared across his face along the lines of questioning. It was as if he asked the pair if they were going to torture him with more success. That small plea made Jack smile and he tried his best to hide it. "Where to?" he wondered.

Jun giggled and held both the teddy and the bunny key chain. She glanced at Jack then looked around, her eyes landing on the Ferris wheel, then moved back to Jack. "Can we ride the Ferris wheel together?" Jun asked innocently.

[[ awh, then i'll save up for the supplies, send an anonymous mail package to a national mail place (plus get it cleared :f..), and give you the password so you can get them and make smoothies~ ^o^ my mom's been shopping for the cheap sale-mangoes that are like 50c per mango (which makes about 1-2 smoothies depending on how much other stuff you use like OJ and such >o<) ]]

Jack's attention was drawn to the slight noise of the key chain and how cute Jun looked in the middle of it all. A grin tugged at the corner of his mouth. He forced his gaze away to avoid making the moment awkward and looked at the Ferris wheel that was set up where it usually was every year. "Sure~" he said just as sweetly.

[[ lol, don't worry about it Yume-chan ^-^ I'll get to make a mango smoothie sometime in the future :3 -- oOo someone's got a crush~ (>^3^<) ]]

Jun smiled and skips happily towards it, then stops abruptly a few feet from Jack and stares at a figure not far from her. The woman her aunt chased out of her house. When she realized who it was her eyes went wide and she went to go back to Jack's side but the woman grabbed her arm lightly. The two looked almost identical 'cept the eyes and age difference. "Jun, why're you running from me...?" She whispered softly in a voice only Jun could hear. Jun felt the threatening tears try and push their way out. "Let go of me.." She murmured in a cold hushed tone. She didn't let go, she actually tightened her grip a little. "Answer me young lady." "Lemma go!" Jun yelled.

[[ :L... i'm adding it to my list of things to accomplish. >o< i've got the wildest assortment of things; this one is the most creative ]]

Jack followed after Jun, but he wasn't capable of breaking his self-esteem by skipping with her. He simply wasn't quite that type of person. He walked with his hands in his pocket and a gentle comfort to his steps. His mood was altered, though, when he saw a lady resembling Jun appear out of nowhere. Jack raised an eyebrow and stopped in his tracks in thought. Quickly, he re-gained his pace and walked over to the lady. He was curious to know who it was, but it wasn't worth Jun's safety. "Oh my, I'm sorry to worry you ma'am- she's not lost, she's with me," he said with a casual voice. Jack took his hand and lightly held Jun's with it. From a distance, he'd hoped that it gave off the appearance of simply talking nicely with no harm. Inwardly, though, Jack felt hostile.

Jun somewhat hid behind her bear with her hand in Jack's. The woman rose an eyebrow as she examined the boy. "Well sorry to intrude but I was hoping to get a word or two with my daughter- which obviously isn't going to happen..." She said quietly in the most calm voice she could use. Jun stepped closer to Jack, not happy to be called 'daughter' by the woman who left her and brother all alone at such a young age.

Jack's eyes glanced quickly at Jun and then back to the lady in front of him. He shook his head a bit, still acting out the scene. "Ma'am, I know you see a resemblance just like I do, but you have the wrong person," he said slowly. "I would be happy to call her mother here to prove it." Jack knew that Sabrina was Jun's aunt, but he wasn't going to even bother throwing names and titles around in the same sentence. He was hit by a thought that wondered if he could get in legal trouble for pulling a stunt like this.

The woman blinked and turned her back to him. "Don't bother." She murmured before walking away. Jun only watched, simply amazed at how simple it all seemed- but figured it probably wasn't that simple. She was just happy the hour was still in play.

Jack frowned when he was no longer faced, but at the same time he was ultimately happy. Once he decided that the woman had gotten out of earshot, he turned to Jun. He took her other hand in his and gave her a look of concern. "Are you okay?" he asked softly, somewhat paranoid of his surroundings. The entire thing had come and gone within seconds- there were so many questions he wanted to ask. 'Who was that lady? If Jun's her daughter..' Jack pondered such conclusions.
